So once you set up your web site is it like etsy? Do have all of the information for shipping and tacking things like sales, how much you earn, print out shipping labels for shipping . All of that. I was thinking of starting on Facebook marketplace and just sell local at first until i have increased number of products and to see how my items sell.

Making $10.00 minimum is not unreasonable to make on a hand made custom shirt, on average, vinyl cost $3.00 per foot (on a 5 yard roll). it’s ridiculous how some people sell shirts for $8.00 - $10.00 thinking they’re making a profit when in reality they are losing money. Now that gas is around $5.00 this effects the cost of buy material, shipping (it’s got to get to the post office somehow), utilities, and over head (electricity, machinery, etc).

How would you charge for etching? I have a glass from the Dollar Tree, and I use Armour Etch and speedball screen printing ink for color so the design can be seen. Also how do you charge for vinyl, do you charge by the sheet of vinyl?

If the post office lost their package it’s not my fault. I don’t reship packages. But you handle your business your way. They get a tracking number. Payment is through Etsy

I used to charge by time it took to make the item after figuring out the base cost of item using the waitress wages as my $/hr since in the USA we cut thier minimum wage in half because of tips thing. Do you think this was a wise idea or do you still recommend the 3x amount of the 1st layer of the base project? Just curious as I'm trying to get back into selling my crafts.
I don't always use that method. You have to charge what is best for you!
1 thing people miss. You won't get paid for a while starting a business. Only the business gets paid.

I just need a little clarification when you said you started out small and bought 5 of each size were you buying 5 of each size in black Gray and white... or did you start out by 5 of each size in black only?
No in each color that I used. You can buy whatever colors you want. I started out with the 4 basic colors. White, black, grey and red.
