It’s worth mentioning, that guy living below this property who didn’t want a dirt river passing by his house - is the creator of the TV show “Full House” - Jeff Franklin. More interestingly, his house sits on the infamous property of the Sharon Tate murders by the Charles Manson Family. Those events haunted the sale and development of that site for decades.

Then she freaked out about the fact that he had a music room. Then I freaked out about how big his house must be, and then she told me it’s even bigger than we were both freaking out about.😂😂

I’m always amazed with what people in L. A. build when they want to spend money to out do their neighbors and come up with the newest ways to add the most expensive construction ideas to their homes. Just amazing, and I love looking at the finished product when they are listed for sale. 😎
One of my all-time favorite houses is just one house over around the bend, the famous John Lautner designed (1963) Sheats-Goldstein home. It has an unbelievable nightclub below that blue tennis court (shown at 5:11) that was a fairly recent addition. James Goldstein, the owner, is quite a unique & flamboyant character, & has thankfully been the perfect caretaker of the mid-century gem. There are many YT videos devoted to it. It's the dramatic home in 'The Big Lebowski', where The Dude (Jeff Bridges) was drugged by Jackie Treehorn & his minions. The home's been used for many other movies, music videos & magazine shoots. When Mr. Goldstein passes away, he's leaving the place to the LA County Museum of Art, which is an amazing thing for the public; I hope to tour it someday. I'd like to know James' thoughts regarding the new mansion's construction?
Been to that house as well and the nightclub is pretty surreal and the pool is uniquely shaped. There is a room dedicated to Goldstein's pictures that was pretty amazing to see, like a mini museum.
@EarlSkakel Wow, that's awesome!👍🏻 I will schedule a tour someday. I'd like to also experience the 'James Turrell Skyspace' on the property, that's below the home accessible by a hillside stairway & stone pathway.
@@trout211 i’ve been to a lot of nightclubs in my time and the one in the house definitely holds up to any actual club with a full bar. The only other house I’ve ever seen like that is Shane Black thewriter of Lethal Weapon had a nightclub in his upstairs house.

Putting that much dirt underneath the deck doesn't sound safe. I'm not a structural engineer but I feel like that could be a future issue. I'm sure an engineer approved so I'm likely wrong, but drainage issues popped in my head. I would be mad if my home was underneath that too
Another fine example of huge ego and no common sense! To be his neighbor will be horrific! To say the least. Awful. He will be having lots and lots of parties/gatherings just to show off the house! So they build these monstrosities to then bother their neighbors. Selfish. Inconsiderate. Why it’s always a risk in buying a home. You never know what pain in the ass neighbor you’re going to get next door!
The house next door was renovated and listed for $25.5M in Aug 2021 and finally sold for $16M last November. Enes toured it but avoided showing the construction (title: Celebrating the 4TH of JULY in a $25,500,000 Beverly Hills Mansion). It's a nice house but even after a few more years of construction you still have to live next door to an event space forever.
