One of the prettiest lakes in RMNP. I think I'll wait until that steep snow slope is melted out. Beautiful video!

Good idea. By then wild flowers will be in full bloom

Beautiful hike. I have yet to explore this area of the basin. Lots of snow still.

Truly wonder area. It will be even more beautiful when the wild flowers are at their peak in a couple of weeks! I also plan to check out Lions Lakes, maybe combine that with Mt Alice later this summer after the snow is gone

@@ruggedland I did Lion Lakes last year on 8/19 and it was fantastic. Haven't done Mt. Alice but I do have Chiefs Head on the itinerary for August/September.

Did Chiefshead last summer. Long day but summit views are well worth the effort. Enjoy!

This hike brings back such fond memories with its stunning scenery. I hiked this a year ago in early July, under similar conditions with the multiple snowpacks.
I recommend hiking Lion Lake 1 & 2 *INCLUDING* Snowbank Lake. The first six miles is through monotonous forest with the seventh mile delivering the goods - more stunning scenery.

Thanks! Lion Lakes hike is definitely on the list for this summer
