I think this must be played on PS5. What they did with the dualsense controller is incredible. Different feelings for each gun, light subtle taps while walking/running, detailed subtle haptics depending on what power you're using.... I'm sure I would have loved the game regardless of platform, but I don't think I would be addicted to it like I am on the PS5 on other platforms.
I LOVE Control. I have both DLCs and have gotten every trophy available. The game play is so enjoyable. Ash seems to prefer the gun over her powers. I was the opposite and used my powers all the time only using the gun when I needed to recharge. Control is FREE in February with PlayStation Plus. Wish I could experience this game again for the first time. Too bad I already own it :'(

Dr Darling & threshold kids are my favourite part of this game for sure. Really stays with you long after playing. The design of the different office's & labs is excellent & underrated imo. Packed with secrets & references too. For the people who really get into it you will definitely not be disappointed.
Best game I've played in years. 112 hours in, and I'm still enjoying it. Well-hidden, clever quests that grant you cool costumes and mods are probably my favorite part of the game. Perfectly put, Ash! Control quickly became one of my favorite games of all time when I started it on New Years Eve 2019. The world building, the gameplay, the awesome weirdness, the characters and the design is just out of this world. Needless to say, I platinumed this masterpiece in about 2 weeks time!
Without doubt one of my games of 2020. Loved the surreal nature of it, and a difficulty curve that was fair throughout. In response to the Maze, I can honestly say when playing it I was bit shocked as it came out of left field but as soon as I finished it I was blown away. Strongly recommend

Loved the Mark Z. Danielewski reference! I've already played Control and I completely agree it has House of Leaves and Kubrick vibes. Possibly my favourite game on PS4, not going to lie.
The Ashtray Maze blew me away, that was so well done. But everything else was amazing too - Ahti, the Board, the Objects of Power, the way it just pulls the rug out from under your feet all the time, also Porcupine Tree's "Fear of a Blank Planet" as the credit song at the end! I only really got stuck on one insanely hard fight in the middle but fortunately there's a built-in cheat option (at least in the PC version) that got me past that. But yeah, great game!
Control is a lot better then most people have said. My favourite part in this was ashtray maze listening to the heavy metal music. Another scene I will put out there is watch dogs 1 where you use traps to kill enemies and in the background has got heavy metal music.

Reminds me so much of parasite eve in the ps1. Mostly the feeling as you walk through the different environments, how eerie and suspenseful it is. Weird mix of modern and scifi with a bio-something going around.
Control is easily one of the weirdest, creepiest, unsettling and most disturbing games that I've played in recent memory and I've enjoyed every minute of it (for the most part). The map can be confusing to navigate and a lack of a checkpoint system can be frustrating for some people, especially in the last few missions. Other than those two issues, the game is phenomenal. The one singular moment of normalcy is at the very start of the game when you see civilians walking down the streets of New York and cars driving by. You start questioning everything from that moment onward once you step foot into The Oldest House. The game doesn't just infect one's brain, but it also warps one's way of thinking. I remember the first time that I saw bodies floating in mid-air. That in itself took the game's creep factor to a completely different level. The same can be said for the boss fight against a massive fridge, which meant that I had more questions than answers. One of the best, if not the best levels in Control is the Ashtray Maze. The song "Take Control", which is performed by Poets of the Fall, plays in the background while the level shifts and warps, amidst the chaos and anarchy. It's an amazing song that really sets the stage and tone for the Ashtray Maze level. The Service Weapon is the main weapon, but it has 6 firing methods (as long as you have enough resources and components in order to construct each one). It's a very neat concept to incorporate numerous firing weapons within the main weapon itself. Instead of utilizing traditional ammo pickups, the Service Weapon has a cool down period before it can be fired again. That completely alters the way in which gunplay is approached. The last thing that you want to do is be in a huge firefight without the ability to fire said Service Weapon. Control makes you change tactics on the fly so to speak because towards the end of the campaign, the game throws everything at the player. Things get rather hectic and chaotic to say the least. The various abilities are fun and satisfying to utilize. Sure, you can't completely level a building, but you can tear chunks of concrete and hurl it an enemies, which never gets old. I found Jesse Faden to be a very compelling main protagonist. The narrative itself is very interesting, intriguing, compelling and it's definitely worth the time and investment.
