Yes it can create nice sounds (clearly it is focused mainly on ambient drones/pads). At first it seems that the interface is a little bit complicated/weird, but after a few hours it becomes more natural.
Some really haunting sounds here. Is there a way to see how they were constructed and which midi notes/events are used? Maybe by connecting to a computer and seeing a "list edit" display? Thanks.
The midi notes/events are visible on the sequencer. For the other sound parameters, I have no idea but - in theory - you should see them on the display. "In theory" because I returned my Ambient 0 because it has a power supply defect (full refund). Then I bought it again, but I'm still waiting it because I was not quick enough after the last batch became available ... :-S
@@TheWaveSon No, mine had two issues: 1) no default preset/demo patches (fixed with a factory reset ... indeed I was able to make the video) 2) unit would not turn on/stay on with a custom universal power supply and also with their dedcicated Sonicware power supply (moving the plug turned it off) but worked fine on batteries
No, they are sequences programmed on the onboard sequencer. Clearly the Ambient0 is able to receive MIDI data: one midi channel per track (called "layer" on this device) or automatic selection based on the current selectee track (layer)
I have just received my one. Still have to switch it on. I can't wait to start exploring it. From what I can hear it sounds amazing.

@@Algoritmarte thanks for the reply and guidance. Only just received mine, so looking forward to exploring this intriguing device :-)
I've already read someone who return it because it didn't work with the batteries, same problem?
