I am grateful to the hijabis on our campus where i work. I am 65 and recently reverted. The fact that i wear hijab is due to their example for the most part. Subhan allah.
I am wearing it 24 years alhamdulillah niqab hijab as revert . If you know why you reverted then nobody can make you stray from deen . Has to be for the sake of Allah swt. I took baby steps . May Allah swt keep us guided to the last breath ameen🤲
Thank you so much, currently I am on the same path of truly innerstanding Islam & realising it’s not only about rules but connection to the divine creator 🤍 may Allah bless you allahumma amin
Subhanalah I noticed this on tiktok as well. I was so excited to see young people who practised modesty but they were so harsh and rude! You'd think that the closer you get to the truth, the more you get kinder... As someone who put the niqab on without any pressure from anyone else, I found that they twisted it into this extremely negative thing and that a lot of them were insecure but would present it as "haya".
I agree with you hundred % , the harshness and toxicity of some practicing people in tiktok and instagram used to ache my heart a lot , some of them went to the point of being vulgar which is when I decided to delete immediately. Subhanallah , what kinda Islam is that, even the quran encourages the prophèt (saw ) not to be harsh so as not to shoo away those around him
Real.. Even though I agreed with the opinions they put out, I realized that my empathy for others went down and I automatically began judging people on the train 😭😭 rather than being neutral to them..
When I started practicing Islam again after a long life of agnosticism (I'm Bosniak, but Bosnians are pretty irreligious generally), I dove right in and got excited. Of course I was so excited to please Allah but it quickly went into extremism. I was so freaking depressed. I was anxious. I hated myself. I felt guilt and shame. I literally just wanted to be unalived so the pressure could get away from me. Alhamdulillah I relaxed and I'm at peace with myself now and I find that my connection to Islam is more personal and deeper than my outward appearance. It's my character and my spirituality. I was so obsessed with fine tuning how others see me but hardly if at all worked on my character and what was inside of me.
I was once with these extremist people , you are right extremism becomes trendy sometimes,I was a teen back then and it was disgusting, they literally loved terrorists ,supported slavery ,were very misogynistic racist ,and very hateful ,and you said it right you feel no longer connected to Allah ,and Alhamdullilah Allah guided me and I left them ,and I love Allah and Islam now much more
this is so true as a Shia muslim revert of 10 years I’ve been questioning this for years. I was raised “christian” and I started having panic attacks at 4 years old when I understood the concept of death. And then at 15 it escalated in to drug abuse and then I came to a point where I didn’t see a meaning with anything like why even live if we are just going to disappear, it got to the point where I couldn’t leave my house without having a panic attack. Then as a final desperate attempt I locked my self in my room for 6 months in search of the truth with a genuine heart. I in-depth researched all the major and some minor religions in the world, from a sientific and logical, spiritual and historical perspective. I had a bunch of questions that needed to be answered starting from big bang to dinosaurs to neandetrthals ect all the way to the present day. Most religions didn’t get past even the first few questions without major issues. I then when I thought I had gone through all the religions and I was about to give up I just remembered that Islam existed and I just knew it was the truth and I reverted at 16 years old, so I would want to make an input that just because your are young and reverent doesn’t mean that your get manipulated by extremism. And pretty soon after that it was easy to find myself in the footsteps of ahlulbayt. No one with a true search for the pleasure of Allah can ever de manipulated in to extremest group. But even so I haven’t stopped doing critical research and analysis over the years now 10 years later I’m alhamdulillah stronger in my faith as a Shia Muslim then ever… and I will forever challenge anyone to try and find a single fault in the Shia Islamic teachings. Because there are non. I even had a bad period where I even actively wanted to disprove my own faith because I was pissed at all the rules for a while. Still there was no disproving anything only confirming, which instead of achieving what saytan was trying to achieve it only managed to get me even closer to the Allah swt. We need a lot more compassion in this world especially in our ummah, Allah is Al-rahman Al-raheem, and if we look at the likes of Prophet Mohammed sawa or Imam Ali as the are the complete opposites to what the extremest groups are. I recently put in the niqab as well, Most of our schoolars is not deeming it wajib (only if we have beautifications on the face like makeup or piercings or something like that) but it’s the sunnah of my female roll models such as Fatimah Zahra as or sayida Zaineb as and i absolutely love it even if a lot of “Shia Muslims” are sadly against niqab for some reason. Life is too short to go and be angry or harsh or bitter to everyone around us that doesn’t live exactly like us, just strive to get at close to Allah as possible and be an example of how a Muslim should be not just look wise but also akhlaq wise and I’ll think we’ll get a lot further inshallah. Sorry for the rambling but the I hope I got my point across without sounding random I was trying to keep it short🥲
Genuinely sister your vibe and way of speaking is so beautiful, and the content of your videos are so enlightening. I pray Allah rewards you for your hard work and allows this to be a means of sadaqatul jaariyah for you!
Also, another thing about hijab is for people from a Muslim-background, it becomes very easy to forget the intention behind hijab as an act of worship. We are missing out on so much reward by making it a simple part of our daily routine, without doing it purposefully (if that makes sense?)! May Allah allow us to earn much reward for our struggles!!
So glad I came across this video sister. My story is basically my mother is a revert, and my father passed away when I was younger, and I live in a country that is not Muslim majority. So I never really lived as a Muslim should, even though I prayed and fasted. Or so I thought, because the people around me or what you call the "haram Police" would always criticize to the point where I thought I wasn't doing enough. One of them (sadly, she was one of my teachers) even told me that she didn't know if I was Muslim or not, and that if I was a "better Muslim" then maybe my father would've been alive. It hurt my feelings so much because I had just lost my father, and I was guilt trapped into thinking that my "disobedience" is the reason my father passed away. For so many years I struggled, I became hateful, I almost became a victim of following the wrong path. But by Allah's Mercy, I was able to fight back, start taking my deen seriously. Alhamdulillah I am in a better place now, both spiritually and mentally. I learnt to love my religion. I learnt to distinguish what people said and what Allah Azzawajal and the Prophet (SAL) has said. Those criticisms no longer hurt me, because I know better now. I'm so glad you spoke about your experiences, because this isn't a topic many discuss.
Alhamdullilah sister ,your father passing away is qada and qadr ,and it is never late to comeback to Allah and do tawba ,we should not be hateful to each other,we should advice each other with love and kindness الله يرحم ابوك يا رب
I'm a born Muslim, started practicing more than a decade ago and everything you said in this video resonated so much with me. May Allah strengthen you and give you the courage to always walk on the right path. I feel heard when I watch you talk about these things. Only yesterday, these men online were slandering me because I said it's not ok for a man to lose control and hit a woman in the face if she's being verbally disrespectful even. They called me names and said I was a feminist even; they give Islam such a bad rep fr. Ameen.
subhanallah this came at the right time. i thought i was all alone in this and something was wrong w me. thank u so much sister and you’re english like me :D haha
One doesn't need a messenger or scripture to connect with the divine or to be pious. Just repeating 'water, water' won't quench your thirst. There’s a verse about someone satisfied with the name but never seeking the essence-someone who admires the symbol but never fulfills its purpose. A statue comforts the heart with its name, yet remains an empty vessel. Symbols are fleeting; the truth lies beyond them.
May Allāh keep you steadfast upon the dīn and protect you from extremism in all forms. Unfortunately many reverts and newly practicing muslimīn become easy prey to the khawārij, hizb ut-tharīr and others beyond their ideology.
@@msa565 I would advice you to take seeking knowledge seriously. Firstly know your own aqīdah, learn the correct creed of ahlul sunnah. After that learn and understand the traits of those who deviate from the truth to safeguard yourself from falling into their errors. Take your religion from serious people, do not lend your ear to anyone who shouts. Ibn sīrīn رحمه الله said “this knowledge is a religion so be careful with whom you take it from” - something along those lines. The scholars of sunnah have always been clarifying the truth and refuting those who fall into errors. This is not something new however it should never distract you from your main goal which is worshipping Allah alone upon the sunnah with the understanding of the salaf (the pious predecessors) Do not occupy your precious time with arguing with them even when you have knowledge, stay away from their fitnah, fear Allah, preserve your tongue and Allah knows best. This is an advice to myself frist and foremost, use your energy and efforts in reading the qurān, reading tafsīr, learning Arabic, attending the classes of the masjid, studying books, spending time with your parents and loved ones as long as your have them. Take out time to make dhikr, this is one of the most important ones, always remember Allah throughout your day likewise make lots of du’a to Allah sincerely that he protects you and your dīn. May Allah make us sincere and guide us and guide our brothers and sister who have become victims to these evil ideologies. Āmīn
Just came across this today and I’ve subscribed! I also don’t understand their logic because when you look at the stories of the prophets of Allah, all of them had to deal with disobedience people, people who argued back-and-forth with them, people who mocked them, and some had to deal with people who tried to kill them or had killed them . Yet with everything they went through, these prophets just did their job and they just preached. Never heard of anyone lashing out or trying to basically murder their people for not listening to them. These extremists will not have survived if they were the ones to give the message. Because they believe you have to take what they say by force and the stories of the prophets tell us that preach what you have to preach and make sure you’re preaching what Allah hasordained, But guidance comes from only Allah and we cannot take people’s rebellion against Allah’s words to heart
Christian here, I understand. Exactly what type of extremism you're talking about, the people who tell you to follow all these rules not out of the love of God, and out of the reasons from God, but out of pridefulness. These communities are just awful to be it in my experience, and you can never form genuine connection based on faith, because these people completely lack real faith or understanding. Quickly after my extremism, I became a devert. It took me months to get back to an area where I can actually grow in my faith.
It's all pride! Thank you! The people who post about how religious they are and how they don't do x y z sin and shame others are filled with pride and it will come crashing! I don't know why these people are so arrogant enough to believe God would not test them. God could easily take their faith away and make them turn to sin and that's it. They're so arrogant.
@Amila-ym7ny he did that to me took my faith from me, but it was all to humble me and a part of his plan to in the end bring me closer to him, may he bless you all.
Assalam Aleikum wa Rahmatullah may Allah protect us from all evil sects ameen . May Allah guide us and forgive us Ameen . I’m also Slavic Revert Allahumma Barek may Allah keep us steadfast Ameen

Correction: The sharia does not legislate that in order to observe hijab you have to wear a khimar or abaya. In doesn’t have specific rulings regarding the exact clothing. What it does provide are guidelines to modesty. Numerous scholars have clearly stated that so long as your clothing is in line with the rulings of Islamic modesty, then you are observing hijab. Your interpretation is an extremist interpretation, there is no Hadith stating that you have to wear a jilbab or a khimar in order to observe hijab.
honestly im a revert and i dont understand what is so hard in wearing the hijab. i also had family issues etc but ive never felt like its hard for me or like i wanna take it off
I’m glad to hear that your at ease with your hijab however your journey and situation may not be like others sisters. Everyone is impacted differently and what may not have affected you may affect others. Wallahi I used to say the same thing as you until Allah tested me with it. Subhanallah
Everyone is tested differently. Hijab is easy for you also it’s for me but they’re other things you’re being tested with for example with sin or with sickness so it’s just like that everyone there is something they’re struggling with

Great video sis. I'm planning to start a similar style channel this year (faceless). I hope I can be as brave as you. I dont have tiktok, what is your business?
Good video...but pls define or explain what extremism is.. especially with regards to hijab...u were already wearing the niqab before meeting these extremists...so wat were these extremists doing that was extremism?
Thank you! I’m referring to the extremists who would put fighting the disbelievers and exiling them before learning your Islam. Those who would refute you and slander you for struggling rather than try to help you. Those who upheld the idea of ‘strict and harsh’ dawah instead of any other approach that may help that person understand properly (since now everyone can process dawah in the same way). As well as those who would put men over women and publicly belittle women. Overall it’s a very cultish group.
Hey sis ❤ 4:01 I am not wearing hijab and was waiting the right time to feel like doing it and by listening to you i realized that it is jihad you are not supposed to wait till you feel like doing it right ?
You don’t wait until you feel it’s right, you wear it when it becomes fardh upon you (once you reach puberty). I understand there’s the narrative that hijab is a ‘journey,’ but know that there will never be a time where it feels “right.” :) ❤ Additionally, if you rely on your feelings of when it feels right, when you’re loving the hijab, etc., if there comes a moment when you don’t feel motivated or in touch with your hijab anymore, there’s a risk you’d take it off. With this in mind, there is never a time where it feels “right,” so my advice is to put it on and seek further knowledge on it to strengthen why Allah swt made it fardh, even if you don’t like it, as “…Perhaps you dislike something which is good for you and like something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.” (2:216) ❤❤
Salam, how do you reconcile the fact that these extremists use direct verses from Quran to guide their actions? What makes them "extreme"? Aren't they the true fundamentalists? No hate just genuinely curious
Because we have scholars that interpret these verses for us already, Islamic scholarship is not cheap, and we have guidelines that are set by the Quran and sunnah.
They follow manmade books of Traditions from Ancient Persia and Arabia, and They reject the rulings of Allah ... by doing so, they commit a form of Shirk/making partners with God in the matter of religion ... Qur'an rejects Anyone Except Allah in matters of legislations - Even the prophets and Messengers of God can not disobey of what has been "Sent down" i.e the books of Allah for example Qur'an ... but Sunni and Shiites disobey the clear commands of the Qur'an
@m4khm4lb4f But why wouldn't Allah just be extra clear with his messaging then, especially if lives are at stake? Instead of using flowery complex language with multiple interpretations, just use simple straightforward language 🤷♀️
10:40 "So during the time of Jahiliyya, the women were obviously not observing the hijab." Historically incorrect, Jahiliyya women did wear hijab as much as other Jahilliyya men wore turban. Based on historical evidence and interpretations of the Quran, women during the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah) generally wore head coverings (khimar), but the manner in which they wore them differed from the guidelines later introduced in Islam. In pre-Islamic Arabian society, wearing a head covering (khimar) was already a common cultural practice among women. This was not something new introduced by Islam but part of their existing attire. Women at the time wore the khimar draped behind their shoulders, leaving their necks, throats, and upper chest exposed. Imam Qurtubi, in his tafsir, mentions that women of Jahiliyyah would let the ends of their khimar fall behind, leaving the chest and upper body uncovered. Allah commands: "...and let them draw their veils (khimar) over their chests..." (Surah An-Nur: 31) This verse clarified that believing women, who already wore the khimar, were instructed to adjust its manner of use to cover their necks and chests modestly. The directive does not introduce the khimar as a new concept but modifies its purpose and usage to align with Islamic modesty requirements.
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708 barakallahu feeki for this comment. It is also evident through certain Hadiths what you are mentioning. When I claim they were not observing hijab I am referring to the Islamic guidelines of the hijab since they were still adorning themselves and committing what we now refer to as ‘tabaruj’.

Hi, In verses 31 and 59 of surah An-Nur and Al-Ahzab, Allah does not mention covering women's faces and Allah does not mention punishment for dress code! Showing ones face is an essential part of human interaction and communication. Allah did not tell Muslim women to cover their face in the Quran, so why are you covering your face?
A muslim does not only follow the Quran, but also the Sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ. There are plenty of ahadith that the women of the time of the Prophet ﷺ used to wear face coverings. But the opposit is also true. There is difference of opinion as to if the niqab is wajib or sunnah, because both can be found in the Sunnah. So i think it is up to the person themself to see what proof they follow. InshaAllah i answered your question.

Alhamdullilah sister ,your father passing away is qada and qadr ,and it is never late to comeback to Allah and do tawba ,we should not be hateful to each other,we should advice each other with love and kindness

Ameen.

Please im from Brazil and i would like to understand how can i stay away from this, what signs do i need to avoid those things
This is not something new however it should never distract you from your main goal which is worshipping Allah alone upon the sunnah with the understanding of the salaf (the pious predecessors)
Do not occupy your precious time with arguing with them even when you have knowledge, stay away from their fitnah, fear Allah, preserve your tongue and Allah knows best.

Because they believe you have to take what they say by force and the stories of the prophets tell us that preach what you have to preach and make sure you’re preaching what Allah hasordained, But guidance comes from only Allah and we cannot take people’s rebellion against Allah’s words to heart
would love to see you make a video about where to take knowledge from
Christian here, I understand.

Hey sis ❤
4:01 I am not wearing hijab and was waiting the right time to feel like doing it and by listening to you i realized that it is jihad you are not supposed to wait till you feel like doing it right ?
Allah knows and you do not know.” (2:216) ❤❤
@ thanks for the advice ❤️
@@sarathesimmersarathesimmer1300 perfectly said sister
10:40 "So during the time of Jahiliyya, the women were obviously not observing the hijab."
Historically incorrect, Jahiliyya women did wear hijab as much as other Jahilliyya men wore turban.
Based on historical evidence and interpretations of the Quran,
women during the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah) generally wore head coverings (khimar),
but the manner in which they wore them differed from the guidelines later introduced in Islam.
Allah commands:
"...and let them draw their veils (khimar) over their chests..."
(Surah An-Nur: 31)
This verse clarified that believing women, who already wore the khimar, were instructed to adjust its manner of use to cover their necks and chests modestly.
