I am not Muslim, but I really love seeing the encouragement and camaraderie amongst all the Muslim sisters in the comments of all your videos 🤗 Beautiful!
I’m an oblivious European who just learned that apparently there’s a moroccan and algerian kafkan-gate going on. Regardless of who made it first, its a beautiful garment. I hope both sides get to enjoy it at the end. Both Moroccans and Algerians alike deserve to slay in it flowy silk and chiffon gorgeousness. The video was great btw, very soothing whisper!
As an Algerian I am embarrassed by the behaviour of some Algerians in the responses of a comment Algerian Caftan and Moroccan Caftan can coexist and it is very normal to share things like traditional clothing, cuisine, dialect…etc because the two countries are right next to each other I mean it would be more weird if they didn’t have anything in common Sending love from Algeria to you 💕 and to my Moroccan brothers and sisters
giiiirl i understand the shame you feel and all but you lost me at the Algerian Caftan thing ... There is no such thing as Algerian Caftan and Moroccan Caftan, we Moroccans know THE CAFTAN because it has always been ours until we started to sell it to foreigners and you came stuffing your noses in our things then we chose to name it Moroccan So ... unless Algerian Caftan means Caftans that were bought from Morocco, honey you're delulu
I really think your ASMR is so great because you actually are a very sweet person. You seem like a great sister or friend and that is relaxing to watch. No need for expensive tool or sophisticated props.
Perfect whisper and such a cool way of learning about a different culture. On that note would love to learn more about your transition / differences from living in the states and living in Morocco. Thanks again for the quality content!
Im Brazilian and I have a friend on Twitter who is Moroccan and we joke around that we’re the Brarrocos Union lol I clicked because of that but I’m now realizing I don’t really know a lot about actual Moroccan culture I gotta start learning more about it ~~
As salaammu Alykum sis I love ASMR I've been listening to ASMR to help me relax since I was a child starting with Bob Ross LOL and this is the first time I get to enjoy my sister and faith helping me relax may Allah increase you in Khairah Aameen ❤
@@dou3aa2 I'll make sure to educate myself on this later, but I also wanted to ask a real person before asking Google: is kaftan like...a folk dress of sorts? As in is it comparable to eg hanbok being a Korean folk dress or hanfu being a Chinese folk dress? If so, I assume it'd be rude for foreigners to wear something of a similar style? I'm saying "of a similar style" because I also assume that actual kaftan is expensive af (because the dresses seem super intricate). I'm asking because the cut and length and general style of these seem right up my alley (I really don't like clothes that reveal my silhouette in any capacity but modern western dresses that do hide the silhouette look...horrible, not going to lie. Most of them are just horrible rectangles with no style no flash no bling no nothing.) but obviously if it's a folk dress and it'd be cultural appropriation of me to wear anything like that, I won't wear it.
@@monochromedream-eatingbakuI just want to let you know that these aren’t dresses that we just wear out and about. Moroccan Kaftans or Takshitas are worn to weddings . That’s why they are more complicated and interesting. Of course it isn’t cultural appropriation if u wear it. Cultures should be owned and shared, so wear what ur most comfortable with. If u like modest clothes maybe u should check out abayas. I hope I answered ur question😘
@JennaLisa-gd9mr Ohh, okay, thank you very much for the explanation!! And thanks for the tip, abayas look super cool and comfortable, I'll definitely look into them more. < 3

I ADORE your voice and your videos so much. I feel so safe and at ease in all of your role plays. Thank you for helping me relax tonight - I am really struggling to sleep so thank you thank you thank you! Also little side note, but the daisy design over your shoulder is so cute! Love it!
Afraid of the Algerian comments ? I can understand, i am algerian and i was scared other Algerian would haras you with your true statement. But yes... KAFTAN IS FROM MAROCCO Peace 🇩🇿🌟🇲🇦
I have always loved these styles of outfits for grand occasion and thank you so much for having this video with so much detail on the choices and measuring. A lovely experience. ❤
Hiii i really enjoy your videos, helps me with sleep very well, alhamdulillah. Also, i particularly really enjoy the writing sounds in this one, hope you’ll do more of that in future❤️❤️❤️
I am american and i love kaftans. Theyre beautiful and i love when women wear them here. Its not often but not rate either. They're perfect for the hot himid summers at n the South East states and I always wonder why western clothing isnt made with the weather in mind
Thank you for your video❤ There is nothing wrong with the title , a lot of people in the comment section are talking about Unesco, but the file registerd by Unesco is about melhfa and gandoura NOT the caftan. Those garnments are totally different. Not to mention that the dress in the video is a takchita which is 100% moroccan
"These are basic" "This is one of the more simple designs" Girl? They are so beautiful that they look like they came out of Barbie Fashion Fairytale magic closet
Such a beautiful kaftan. The double layers of enriched color and complementary beading patterns are so lovely. Did you mention what the beads are made of? (I'm curious if they make the beaded areas heavy. When you hold up the beaded garment, it looks like they're not very heavy. And, such a well made video
Hii. I am Moroccan and saw that you haven't gotten an answer yet. The beads are usually plastic. Sometimes they are just stitched on but often they have a metal base with some metal on the side basically being hold by it and that is being stitched onto the dress. Now the amout of beeds plus the placement and wether it has metal on it or not decides how heavy it is. The style shown in the video isn't too heavy you barely feel a difference but the blue one in the picture on the top left would be really heavy especially since there is a lot on the bottom which would drag you down kinda. But you should still be able to dance and move around.
Mashallah, I support you my sister Salam pround to know we have a beautiful sister like you in Morocco ❤ (btw I'm a girl I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable knowing there are some "wolves" 😂❤)
My parents are from Morocco 🇲🇦 but I’m born and raised in America I have many Moroccan craftan dresses that were made by my grandmother and aunts 🇲🇦🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽🤲🏽
I love that. There’s something about our elders and whatever country they came from that resonates. And a lot of families, mine for example, once they get past a certain generation you almost lose culture unless it’s past on. I love when people pass it on otherwise it disappears. Those relatives didn’t even know the impact they were having on our lives at the time.
Its actually called a takchita. The fabric of a kaftan is heavier than the takchita plus for the most part it has embrodiry and the takchita contains two parts. But well done!
some of these comments trying to claim the kaftan as algerian is just insane as if algeria was even a country before the 1960s 🤦♀️🤦♀️ it has and will always be moroccan. thank u very much!
Hey, not fair. Algeria was colonised by France until they fought against them and won their independence. You can critique them all you want, but this point is a massive own goal

But the caftan is originally morocco. Check The unisco write about this in ther website
The caftan is Moroccan check history or Unisco
Russians, Uzbeks, Turks ...quite a lot of nations have kaftans.
