I just received my bodhrán about a week ago and before I purchased it, I watched other instructors on RUclips, but then I found your videos and I can't believe how quickly my technique and speed and everything improved just after watching a few of your videos! Other instructors are great, Idk what you do to explain things, but your videos are absolutely AMAZINGLY helpful! Thanks Ruairi!

I’ve just come across your videos and I found your way to teach Bodhran really instructive and easy. Looking your tutorials, it appears smooth playing the bodhran. I’m discovering your instrument and would love to acquire one in Switzerland and give it a go.

How do you tune the skin, mine seems to be super tight.

Thank you for this video! Quick question, is there a way to make a Roundstone bodhran sound a little better? I have a vintage roundstone given to me by a friend (it was her late father’s) and I’ve been playing it as a way to bide my time until I get a nicer, more concert level bodhran. But is there any way to make the skin sound better? Less tippy tappy?
