Mike, I was in music production many, many years ago (late '60's) and had a similar experience to yours at the Palladium, in Hollywood. Our crew was doing the sound, mics, monitors, mixing boards, etc for a 24 hour Rock and Roll show, all the greats were there, B B King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, etc. I had the opportunity to Explore backstage and Upstairs in the catwalks and various other Secluded areas of that venerable theater, just Amazing !
It was awesome. Didn't hear any random sounds at all and just enjoyed you having fun together. 💖

The coolest thing I have ever seen is climbing St Peter's dome where you get to see Michelangelo's magnificent tile work, but look down on the altar and if you continue to the top you get the most stunning views of St Peter's Square but 360 views of Rome ... to this day I still get chills just remembering that experience🌟🌟🌟

I remember working backstage in Junior High School back in the 1960s. Climbing up into the catwalk was amazing, but I never had anyone join me.
Like this format with just the 2 of you. Didn’t hear any back ground noise. Listening through AirPods while on a plane so tend to always have my own back ground noise any ways.

Thanks guys !!! I did not notice any of the afore mentioned sounds that you spoke of hahaha. Yea I am to busy listening to the content to notice much tho. And I am an audio engineer so I usually do hear that stuff and yes it can drive me bannas hehe. I think the mike have enough gain so thats pretty much what we hear yea Mike was a little off camber now and again but his voice is soo good it still sounds good !! As someone who has sung in choirs for 35 years, I assure you that barbershop is definitely cool! Y'all are a hoot! Love both the intro songs. Keyboard Cat was a sensation online about 10-12 years ago. As current president of the Cat Writers' Association (yep; it's a thing!), I've since had the pleasure to have met a number of celebrity cats through the years! As one of my cohorts in the cat world said recently, "Dogs are cool, but cats are sexy."
Have you ever seen when James May has kitties as an effective Neighbourhood Watch? Search for "Can James May Catch A Lightning Bolt? | Man Lab." The effective cat security detail is about 25 minutes in.

Great story! If I had to pick a song to play everytime I enter a room, it would be Unbelievable by EMF. Sure , I would get tired of it in my everyday life, but when entering new spaces, it would be Unbelievable! Can you imagine entering a job interview?
It's life affirming to know that healthy well-adjusted men like Mike do in fact enjoy musical theater from time to time.

I appreciate Chuck's need to strive for excellence, but it does get a little over the top at times. I don't notice any of the things that he ever worries about. I've even tried to back up the tape to hear some of the noises he has heard in past episodes, and cannot hear them... not even Mike's Mom filing her nails! And even if I did hear all of it... it would be worth it. The only thing that I miss in this format is the ability to have you both on the screen constantly. I like being able to see the facial expressions of each of you reacting to each other. I also wish you would put the entire podcast on video, not just clips. Couldn't you put the long version, and the short version for those that want it?

The sound was fine, I haven’t noticed any fans, elevators, children running/playing/yelling and everyone was picked up well and clearly on your professional-esque microphones.
