How about show adding the ice packs? Sure, probably simple, but why leave out? More to this point, mine came with a larger ice pack (~= 3 of what you displayed), so not completely intuitive where/how to place??
I recommend everyone get the Hessaire MC12V. It's $99 at Home Depot. I absolutely love it. It puts out more CFM than this and is most likely the same price or cheaper.
Hi @skinners100honestreviews : I have question on this fan. Just picked it up yesterday. I filled the water tank with water about 1/2 way, turned on the fan and pressed the Cooler button. The cooler light blinks on/off for about a minute and then just shuts off. I tried during that minute adding more water to the water tank but doesn’t seem to have the cooler button stay on…help me in Savannah, Georgia without A/C at the moment!
Shoot, I'm sorry it doesn't seem to be working right in this heat! Unfortunately, It seems as though you have a defective fan. Only thing I can suggest is to unplug it for a couple minutes then plug it back in and try again starting with a full tank of water making sure the draw tube is in the tank. If that doesn't work then you may need to return/exchange it
Ice packs would be better than water unless you want to raise the humidity in the room. We live in the midwest so humidity in the summer is too high to begin with. Ice packs would cool the air but not raise humidity. If you live in dryer climate like AZ, you may want to evaporate water into the air to raise the humidity more.
Thanks for the info. I live in Iowa so I know all about humidity :-) We actually went to Arizona this summer and discovered that 117 and no humidity there feels better than 80 here with 70% humidity lol
I don't think you should have to WD40 a brand new product. Couple other things, it's plastic on plastic making the growl and it's an ongoing problem with multiple units. I've read a number of reviews on the product page that mention the same issue. I did ask the manufacturer to send me a new one and within an hour of use it started making the same noise. The cooler does what it is supposed to do and is great when it's not oscillating but when oscillating you'll need to turn the volume up on the TV or stereo to drown it out lol
Just purchased This fan. Seems like they’ve made some improvements. The base doesn’t squeak at all since it just snaps on to the bottom of the yin it and they’ve added a small aromatherapy tray to add your favorite essential oils. Blows pretty cool air. Paid $50 at Home Depot.

He did their there at the end
5:12 timestamp for ice packs inserted.
Wonder if putting a piece of felt between the base & unit will help the creek.🤷🏽♀️
perhaps but It's a pretty tight fit so I'm not sure that would resolve the issue.
Thank you this was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
So you tested it before it ran 72 degrees and then after it was running a while 73 degrees?
it is an honest review...
How long did you leave it to run before taking the temp again?
@@skinners100honestreviews3respect that!
@@Miss.Flower no more than 15min
So not worth it 😅😅😅

Thanks for your suggestion
Thanks for the tip
@@bruyeretv Yes I absolutely love it. It's quite powerful for its size.
add some grease lube on the base. its ugly but works
Worth a try!

How much water can go into the reservoir?
Just a little over a gallon
Yeah man, you seem like a nice guy, but if you're doing an instruction (at least in part) video, why skip any little step??
Will it cool down a 240 square foot room decently and how long will the ice packs last and that gal of water?@@skinners100honestreviews3

Will the water effect/coolness be effective on a patio?
If it in enclosed it may help some but if it's an open patio I doubt it would make much difference unless it was blowing directly on you.
WD 40?

No problem
O.o Temp at start was 72 and then 73 with it on and running.......
Yes, I give honest reviews that include the good and the bad. No special editing to trick a potential customer into a purchase
Can the air spread upward and downward with strong wind?
I'm sure it can. Remember, hot air will rise and cooler air will fall.

@@BritoWorx hope it works well for you
How’d you put the base on?
I'm not 💯 certain but believe it had 2 pieces that snapped together then screwed to the base of the tower
@mehlm5941 no, they sent me a second one eventually it started squeaking as well
Ran mine for four days before it started to creak
Yep, have you figured out how to make it stop?
I have not, I tried loosening the base, but that made it unstable. I guess I will try some grease next
What brand and model is this?
Cftort on Amazon. It looks like this model is no longer available and has been updated
