- I should have done this modification a while back. So easy & cheap and changes the look of the car. The 1 Series project is slowly coming together can't wait to get the front bumper on!

Your altercation to this e87 is an amazing transition. Keep up with the good work!
Cheap and easy mod for the Shark Fin, but be aware that the seal isn't great using the 3m tape provided, and water can get in under the Aerial and start to corrode the roof! (and the electrical connection) as it just sits there underneath and slowly rots. What I did was to use some silicon sealant too, just to be safe. I have done this mod to my Seat Leon, and my Mini R56 (on my channel) if anyone wants to take a look :)

I would love for you to change the Head Unit to an Android Model. Been looking myself but I'm quite doubtful of what to get and how to get cracking. I bought a 1 DIN radioplayer and this totally did not match so i lost about 160 pounds. Will you be changing the radio to a aftermarket Android model someday? You can get pieces to fit on the dashboard instead of the useless dashboard storage space. Also get an iDrive unit for about 250 pounds. But Like I said, I would be so happy should you make an How TO about this.

I brought a repeater but it has no connection from it to the cars cable ? It just has a 2 pin slot. What do I need to buy to connect the two ?

Glad you finally changed the side lights. Personally I don’t like the new fin. It makes the rear end look weird with your spoiler. I stuck a really small Carbon bee sting aerial on my E81 which makes it look (in my opinion) more unique than all the other generic shark fins out there. Keep up the good work though, at the end of the day it’s you car so only you have to like it!

I had led side indicators for few months, then half of them stopped working. Then i just smoked old side indicators. Unfortunately didn't passed MOT, so had to sand them back to original white...

I unscrewed my shark fin then took my original areal out and put it inside the shark fin screwed it all together then used the 22mm nut inside the car to bolt the whole unit to my roof as well as the 3m tape supplied

You probably are aware but just worth saying: make sure the timing chain issue has been addressed! Very common on the n47 diesel engines iirc

Get the bmw 1 series e82 m tech bumper, i got it in my e87 and it look a lot better than the e87 m sport bumper
I saw you struggling with that brake line.. that happened because the nut was seized to the line.. it’s an easy fix for a garage and cheap. You can try abit of brake fluid on the joint that may have separated the nut from the line and stopped that happening..
you have to put a satnav on it, and try to smoke the lights again ,

Avoid all 1 series with small engines too many problems with then
