Before buying mine, I searched every u tube review, I couldn't find anything about fuel bleeding after injectors etc, I bought it anyway. I can now reveal, it does!! GREAT BIT OF KIT!!! It told me which cylinder was at fault. I have never had a scan tool before, so nothing to compare with. (BMW 325D) btw.

Once the car leaves the factory, it's free game. Factories can only "change" scan data protocol for upcoming cars, not existing ones. These tools rule the car diagnostics world.

I just purchased one of these a few days ago.. Granted I only have 2 cars in my house hold, but will be downloading for other vehicles, I know friends have.. I did origanally have a Innova 5610, but got rid of it, because it would not recognize my friends 2003 Chevy Blazer. Trying to get that thing to work was a absoulte pain in the rear.. He did have a service engine light on, that it would not even pick up any codes.. Plus the software for the phone was a huge pain as well.. So I went on a search and spend hrs watching reviews and looking at other scanners.. After watching this plus one of your other videos on the particular scanner, plus a few from other user.. I settled on this one.. It will be all I need, as I do not work on my cars as much as I use to.. Plus because of your videos, I just recently subscribed today.. Thanks looking forward to watching your channel.

For a multi car unit it's pretty impressive. As you pointed out for those fo us that have only one model of car (Or brand I guess) it's probably not the most complete unit. I'n using "Protool" which is an amazing replacement for ista and impa. Coding to a total pro level (Way beyond me lol) as well as the google look up on all codes and how to etc. I think I paid under $300 CAD. I hope you've gotten in touch with some sponsors!

I've found this is a great service scan tool. Anything above service tasks or basic diagnostic tasks will probably require a much more in-depth scan tool. My go-to fully-featured scan tool is probably the Bosch ESItronic and the KTS590. Use it for Merc gearbox services, basically any other car that doesn't get registered by the TopDon or any other advanced task requiring powerful access.
Only thing I don't use that stuff on is JLR vehicles, which gets either Pathfinder or SDD.

I’ve just bought one of these tools to replace my fifteen year old snap on souls pro, the equipment seems to be adequate for the average home mechanic. I did find the registration process a bit of a faff, but once it’s set up it seems to be fine.

As far as china goes with sharing libraries and methodologies you hit the nail on the head. Generally they like to make money on hardware and sell things as an appliance...the practice of sharing software makes that easier.
In the rest of the world it's quite hard to make money on hardware given the cost of labour, logistics etc. and the tendency therefore is to make the software proprietary to maintain some sort of competitive advantage.

Had mine for over a year now
, it’s generally been okay but like
    With any budget aftermarket tool
It’s hit and miss in terms of
What I can do on what car, one thing I am
Noticing is that Topdon seem to send these to
Bmw channels a lot and I have noticed it does seem to work better on bmw

The Artidiag 800 BT comes with free lifetime up dates
      No strings attached
It’s a mid level scanner and will read live data
      It’s not bi directional though
But you can still figure out most problems with the live data
I have had mine for a year now and I’m impressed
For the price it is well worth it
I deleted all China makes because I will never use them but if I did I can always download them again
It is a great kit for the price
I have 0 complaints so far.

I used to get juked with $80 every time my engine service light would come out. I got tired of it and ended buying from Mac tools when I used to work at a body shop, a CRP129 premium. ET129P from Mac Tools. It has given me a relief since day one. I was able to make money when I fixed peoples cars back when I used to put in work. But overall I was able to finally fix my cars at ease. The only problem I have is that I can’t decode the index anything injectors on my 335i.
I do recommend the tool you’re using. I’ll admit if I could I would.
Also your friend from the other video reminded me of Wangan Midnight.

@@friguy4444 I was lucky when I worked at the body shop, my friend had an account and he let me use it to buy the Mac Pro tools. If there was anything like there is today I would have bought this one instead. It’s only $330, that’s half of what I got mine for. Also it was in payments. But since then I have been able to help people and make some money back.
At one point someone wanted to buy it for more because of how efficient the Mac tool was but this one from zero to sixty is just as good as that one.
Only question I have is if it can decode the injectors.

    • @friguy4444
      @friguy4444 2 года назад +1

@@bavarianhero I'd imagine the Mac tool would be the perfect tool of making a few bucks helping others as it has the capabilities to go deep on so many makes etc. "Protool" is BMW specific app and I coded my injectors no problem with it as well as any other types of coding and fixes. On a BMW it does far more than a multi vehicle tool and the price is not bad for being able to replace the bmw Ista and Impa completely. I did fuel tests to determine my bad low pressure fuel sensor and not the pump. And I'm no expert that's for sure. You'd think I owned stock or something talking like it's so great LOL. 😆 Just put "Protool" in youtube and you'll find videos on it.
