Seen him in the late 80’s. I was a young man then also newlywed to my first wife. We were in Vegas on our honeymoon. Anyway we got a seat up front. He let into us about sex and how I didn’t know what to do with a woman etc. we laughed our ass off. Anyway after the show the security guard come got us and said Mr Foxx wanted to have a drink with him I was shocked and honored. We had a great time. He had an Asian lady with him( wife or girlfriend I’m not sure). He told us that the IRS had cleaned him out and he had to go back to work. He was such a nice man and my opinion the funniest comedian of all time

I loved as a kid growing up with Redd Foxx on Sanford and Son definitely memorable moments. With my dad we had pizza on Friday nights and it followed by Star Trek original series. Couldn't ask for a better menu of show and food.

I saw "Harlem Nights" (which is a very underrated film) and saw how funny Redd was in that. Some comics are just funnier when they are vulgar compared to when they are "clean" - no pun intended to this joke. Redd is one of those comedians that relies on vulgarity to be funny -- nothing wrong with that, he just is funnier when doing "dirty" material.
