    I am so upset, i just received the edc 35 today. I had it on in low mode and slid the lock out button on and the light flashed then went out. It will not turn back on. I am so disappointed. Its a good thing this wasnt a life or death situation.

    The EDC27 needs a better switch. Its extremely finicky and does not switch on unless you press the switch just right. I lost the mid click and had to send it in for repair. Hope there will eventually be a version 2 of the EDC27...that has a less temperamental switch...and a deep carry pocket clip. The top of the light protrudes really far out of my pocket. I recently got the EDC33. The tail switch has a more tactile feel vs the 27's vague feeling mid click. Sometimes I'll switch the light off switching brightness levels.

      The power button issues: It either won’t turn on from unlock or off from on.
      I unlock the light making sure the lock icon is not visible. I do a “quick click” to turn the light on. If I do the “quick click” too fast nothing happens and causes the light to glitch on the follow up “quick click” in which the light will turns on briefly, then off again.
      Seem like the power button likes to be pressed at a specific speed. Too slow and it’ll go to instant spot or Lumen Shield. Too fast and nothing happens 25%-50% of the time.Both my EDC33 and EDC35 have this issue. EDC35 button issues are more drastic.
      I love this light, I love the new LED so please forward the to the manufacturer 🥺🙏🏽

    Hello Nitecore,
    Why the EDC33, and the EDC35 torches are sold out all over Europe?
    I'm trying to acquire another EDC33 and my first EDC35, but the only stockists who have this light ready to ship, are in the US and Honk Kong.
    Since you created this new dual-beam light, together with the necessary advertising, could you please ensure that the new devices are actually available to buy?
    I've carried for years a modified SureFire L4 - which had the perfect shape, size, and finish for a "Personal" class of illuminating instruments. Your EDC33 is a massive improvement but it requires some changes before we can call it a professional device. You must change the knurling, using a finer diamonds pattern; the actual pattern doesn't work when you must hold the light, without gloves, for long periods of time.
    The tail switch is perfect but you must make it 20-30% more sensible. You could use some software to detect the intention of the user, improving the overall operations of this new three stage switch. Make it clear that the 3-stage switch of the EDC33 is new concept and requires some initial training.
    Also, try to add PD capabilities to the USB-C port. It would be great to charge the EDC33 at 36 W while on the field, like I do with the LR60R by using the 100W Zendure power banks.
    Don't worry if a refined EDC33/35 is initially somewhat more expensive. I'm thinking of a new tactical lighting concept where the user can generate a contiguous "Lumen Shield" by using two flashlights like the EDC33; but the runtimes, the thermals, the grips and some other details must be finely considered.
    Very good job with the EDC33/35. You must complete the finer refinements, and you will have an outstanding piece of illumination instrument...
    Anthony

      These batteries have long lasting runtimes, under right circumstance it should last you a good couple years, and we like to advise that the EDC33 and 35 specifically are meant for periodic use and perhaps would recommend another light with removeable batteries like the SRT7i for those that need it daily on the field.

      I agree 110% Why in gods name would they produce this light with a sealed battery?? When it runs out of juice you have nothing but a high tech paper weight!!

  • @iosonoi.7132
    @iosonoi.7132 4 месяца назад +6

    Edc33 and edc35 are terrible for “work”.
    Forget about the fact that once the battery fails, the light is done - the fact that you can’t swap the battery makes it terrible for any real use during a shift.
    Non removable is never acceptable unless it’s for a specific use case, like the EDC27 designed for comfort.
    The only reason to non rep on a standard tube is to force consumers into planned obsolescence.
    And no compactness is not a good argument. If the EDC33 or 35 were a centimeter longer, it would not matter because girth, not length, makes a light unwieldy.

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  4 месяца назад

      I see your point and I can agree, these are not meant to replace your daily tactical flashlight for work, but more for periodic use to impress your friends or colleagues.

    • @iosonoi.7132
      @iosonoi.7132 4 месяца назад

      @@NitecoreStore that’s my point. Lumin sheild is obviously a marketing play that gives the light a tactical connotation. But in reality the light is not a tactical light.
      So the real use of this light directly contradicts what “Lumin Sheild” is suggesting.

    I bought an EDC33 out of curiousity and regret it. Great UI and light, but having used it a bunch a couple of nights, once it runs out you're done. Using while charging is not practical either. So, these are no good for "law enforcement, first responders or military" as stated. Unless they carry several lights, since battery can't be switched out. I'll hold on further throw away lights. Nitecore: Make the equivalents with replaceable batts.

    I have the EDC27 and EDC33. The EDC33 is better built overall however the floody light of the EDC27 is more practical in daily life. The EDC33 is missing Strobe and low/medium modes are too spotty.

  • @happyamerican3235
    @happyamerican3235 4 месяца назад

    Until Nitecore offers a battery replacement program for these to be rebuilt at a reasonable price I have no interest in these. Why make throw away lights? Surely the led bulbs will outlast the lifetime of the battery so why the waste? And these aren’t made to break glass like the P series which has a steel bezel and inserts. I’d like to see you smash a window with that aluminum bezel the first hit with minimum damage to the light/lense.

    • @NitecoreStore
      @NitecoreStore  4 месяца назад

      These I'd like to recommend to those who only would use it periodically rather than daily in which youd have ample time to recharge, for those who are seeking a powerful daily use I'd recommend something like the P20ix or SRT7i

    • @happyamerican3235
      @happyamerican3235 4 месяца назад

      @@NitecoreStore these are marketed as EDC “every day carry” which would include daily use and you don’t recommended daily in your comment? I understand you guys are probably having trouble selling these units but Nitecore needs to understand the issues I explained in my first comment. If this light is someones first nitecore purchase and they find out it’s a paperweight after a couple of years good odds they won’t be back for another. Even a trade back/trade in program of these old lights would be something to stay positive about.
