- This video is about a Ferrari F2001 (chassis 208) my friend Italiansupercarvideo, MattyB727 and I recorded last August during the Ferrari Racing Days at Mugello Circuit.
This particular chassis has been used by Michael Schumacher in 3 rounds of the 2001 F1 Championship and than it was mainly used as a test car during the season by both Michael, his teammate Rubens Barrichello and Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer.

I know the new turbo hybrid F1 cars are faster but nothing sounds as beautiful and alive as the V10s and high revving V12s did.
Even the F2007 and F2008s
I wonder if they're be faster with the new aero and chassis. But im all for a return to the early 90s car design. They really had to druvevthose things
They have better cornering speeds but in the straight the v10have them beat even without a drs

Peak power of a screaming NA V10 and the current engines are similar, the driving style would be exciting to watch, the low revs and dull sound make it look boring

@@tonymontana3873 that's a shame! I saw every US Gran Prix held at Indianapolis (I live there) and, my most cherished, I saw Michael Schumacher teat at Fiorano in May of 2005 by pure luck during an Italy visit. It was like God in person.

The Golden Era, with numerous championship winning drivers.
And the noise?, the LFA and these v10’s have so much soul and character!

I went to the USGP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 2001-2007. To hear these V10's come screaming down the front stretch is something that I will never forget.

Actually the stewards are just passionate people, they don't get payed. They access the circuit for free but they have to work not getting payed.

I was born in the end of the V10 era, when every team except TR had the V8 already, but I started liking F1 when V6s where already in use. I am pretty sad I didn't have a chance to hear the V10s in action.

It was biblical mate. You just can't imagine how loud they were. Coupled with the track side smell of the exotic oils and fuels being burnt it could make you feel pretty queezee.
@@randomcamerajunk6977 I haven't experienced a F1 race yet, so I don't know how it feels even now, but I would really like to see one. I'm too young too travel alone and my dad, though he was a big F1 fan, haven't ever been on one either and isn't planning going to one either.
I think they should make a retro series where older cars would race, maybe they could make new ones, so if an accident happens it is a smaller loss, because some of the actual old cars have big historical value. Would love to see a V12 race today...

Went to my first grand prix at Silverstone in 2001. First car out was a Minardi and i was the inside of the track just at the bridge on Hanger straight ... that woke me up :)

Nothing beats the thunder of the V10 when it comes by. I know the world has moved on but I would love to have these back, I will drive electric if we can have this back in racing as return.

Yeah the new cars are faster, yeah the V12s sound great, but V10s are the F1 I grew up with. Nothing better than the sounds of this formula!

The first F1 i Watch in 2001 & i was 1 year Old.
Nothing sounds better than this
Ahh, this video catches all the rumbling these things made when off or at low throttle. I was in Hungary, watching the 1998 Hungarian F1 GP when I was 11 (traveled from Finland on a bus with my dad) and I remember hearing the rumble these things made, which for some reason wasn't there when you watched F1 on TV so it was kind of a big surprise. The sound these cars made was fantastic, and it's a shame the turbo hybrid era got rid of one of the most exciting aspects of watching F1.

You could the noise in your chest when they were coming down a straight and into a corner, flipping through the gears.. It's hard to convey the feeling. But there were a variety of noises.. A baritone bark when the revs were low, and a shriek when they were on full throttle.

I was there in Mugello last year of V8 NA Cars....it's difficult explain the sensation to be totally inside a sound wave. Impossible stay in tribune without headphones ...even my bones were vibrating.
