First Time Here & Already Breaking Rules!(Deer Creek State Park)

- In this episode of Wandering Wagners we visited Deer Creek State Park for the FIRST time and broke some rules! We also had our first taste of Fall weather and started a minor grass fire. We met up with our friends Matt and Debbie in their @jayco Seneca Super C RV with our @NeXusRV Wraith 34W.
They weren't calling for rain, but just cooler temps and higher winds but that didn't keep mother nature from raining on us! haha Luckily the storms were short lived and we were able to have a nice time outside and even got to ride our @LectriceBikes Lites! We rode the entire park and even rode our bikes on the Storybook Trail made for walking with kids... oops haha I guess I'm a Rule Breaker!
We tried to go hiking but they had a disc golf tournament going on, on the hiking trail.
Lynn made some S'mores treats and come foil pack dinners and they were both so good and super simple to make to be sure to give them a try!
This park was big and SO BUSY with traffic, which wasn't expected. If we do return, it will be in the Winter to it won't be as crowded.

"Actually cleaning up is the worst part..." I was thinking that watching you stir that gooey yummy mess. You might just try letting that pan sit with water in it overnight. Since most of the sticky is sugar it should just dissolve into the water. Lynn, I see you let Mike have sharp things again, he must have really behaved himself this week. Looks like a nice park. I like the foil pack idea but I'll have to skip the peppers, they fight with my wife and win. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Haha yep the pot got sprayed out with hot water and some dish soap and water overnight and it was pretty simple to clean😊
We had as fun time here with our friends dispite the crazy weather switch overnight. The foil packs are great because you can add whatever you like!

Lynn I always enjoy your culinary skills. Never made the foil packs with broccoli, will now. That dessert looked great, as a diabetic that wouldn’t work for me but I have grandkids that would love it.
Thank you! The foil packs were so good! We had enough leftover for breakfast and we added eggs on top and it was so good😁
The desert is great to make and share.. Very good but yes if you're diabetic, probably not the best choice. The kids would LOVE it

I make cereal treats at least once a week. I use many different kinds. Flavored Cheerios really work well, but I use anything that we like.

Yep you're exactly right! Disc golf is throwing frisbees from one net thing to the next on a course like golf but it's typically in wooded areas at campgrounds. For some reason campgrounds then put a hiking trail near and in the disc golf course area. Super annoying for anyone trying to do disc golf or hike😂

Wooden Spoon, a must when making any marshmallow treats, fruit loops, coco pebbles, are some of my most favorite ❤ Love that bike, we are in the market for some camp bikes. As always love your videos.

The Golden Graham desert looks yummy! Going to try that next time out. Foil packs are one of our favorite camp meals as they are so easy to prepare and taste amazing! Keep up the great vids!

This campground looked really nice. It looked like your site had electric and water? I couldn't quite tell what services were available. I haven't made foil packs over the fire yet, but I think the grandkids would have fun creating them and then cooking them. Thanks for the idea.
Just electric at our site. They do have a handful of fhu sites though.

The easy way to clean that pot is put water in it and let it boil
I sprayed it down with hot water and let it soak and it was all good. Easier than stirring it🤣

I had a similar dessert a few times growing up - very tasty (a little more to my taste than rice crispy treats too)! Bonus that it is easy to make, even if clean up isn’t the best with it 😂. The foil packet dinners looked great too. I need to bring my similar oven mitt gloves next time I cook over the fire pit grate.

The grill/oven gloves worked perfect for this, especially since I had to move the grate up and down
Your dinner in foil is a lot like what my mom used to make only with hamburger and it was delicious.

We go all over but state parks are easy to see what's available and reserve where private parks aren't and are mostly seasonal people. Plus most state parks are open year round

Had both but still like rice Krispy treats better not so sweet 😊 I found after marshmallow melted just turn down flame to low not off . Makes it easier to mix 😊
Yes after marshmallows are melted you have to turn off the heat otherwise it'll burn

Yeah, we used to do that. However, it’s toxic to dogs. Don’t do it.

I love ur vids! Thank u for keeping vids kinda short! Some people belabor the content. We have a Jayco Embark Super C we soooo love! We have logged over 50,000 miles and smiles. Recently retired, we spent 3 months in AZ and Texas last winter and this year 3 months in AZ. Retirement Rocks! Every day is Saturday.… with an occasional Sunday in the mix! Keep ur vids coming!
