“Sampling the Latest Automotive Delicacies!”
Only the first couple of seconds of the video I realized that you guys were driving the Genesis GV70 and I had a feeling that it was going to be the first pick. I’d have to say, I would 100% agree! Hyundai/Kia/Genesis has really been killing it the past few years!
I like some of their vehicles like this, but they have also done a lot of bad things.
Fires in both ICE and EV vehicles.
Theta II engine disaster
Fuel economy ratings scandal
Not installing engine immobilizers on many vehicles making them theft and joyride targets.
What else?
@@webcomment8895 so true
True!
Have owned Mercedes, BMW, Lexus in the past and currently drive a Genesis. Besides not having its dedicated dealerships readily available, I can tell you its one of the best luxury brands out there. It’s luxurious, reliable, and got great warranty. I have noticed Japanese vehicles going down in both quality and reliability, not as superb as they are used to be known as. Also, Genesis has huge price advantage when compared to German brands with similar configures. I would consider Genesis as the first choice until it disappoints me.
Nice review gentlemen, if I wanted to buy an SUV in this segment it will be either the RDX or GV70!
I can’t believe how accurately non bias this list is. It is almost the exact same order I would have done it in. Very nicely done guys.
Great job. I agree with you 100% based on the 1s I’ve driven at least. I’ve owned the GV70 and traded it for a Hyundai Ioniq 5, but would love to get the eGV70 if I can afford it. I test drove several of the others. The GV70 is insanely good for the money, and an amazing job from Genesis on their 1st try in the segment.
Good sensible list. I seriously shopped your top 5, and bought a GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige (Uyuni white over red/charcoal). Six months in zero regrets. To shop the Germans and match the GV70's specs, you end up adding practically every option they offer; the GLC43 was over $80K spec matched. Genesis belongs............
But it’s Hyundai are you worried about the recalls and not lasting like the Japanese ?
@@no9254me No, JD Powers ranked Genesis #1 last year. I buy new every three years, lasting is not an issue.........
@@rmyAddison I wish you the best with your Genesis and hope you enjoy it for as long you keep it. But I wouldn't be the first person to argue that JD Power isn't a reliable source.
@@arhamkhakwani5851 They're only 'unreliable' when their data doesn't agree with your opinion. Otherwise they're "spot on".
LOL so no regrets after a whole 6 months? Sounds like a keeper.
Nicely done! This list feels right. While I haven't driven all of them, based on reviews and personal experience, the order seems spot on.
Good job guys! You nailed this list!
So proud of Genesis. Next generation of these vehicles is going to seal the deal on whos on top!
Also can you do this video but for sport sedans?
Genesis makes really, really good cars so far. I love their products so far.
Good for Genesis!
I know it's gonna be GV70! It's the best in so many ways and a lot Compact SUV for the price.
I really enjoy your comparison videos to see who wins at the end. Thank you for all that you two do on your car reviews. So glad I found your channel.
Thank you, Chuck! We appreciate it 😁
Great video.
Fantastic video!😸
I couldn't agree more with the number one spot's vehicle for I love, love, love my G80
Hi Car Confections Can You Make The 2022 Lincoln Corsair Reserve
I always like it when Car Confections makes awesome and fun videos like this :)
The Genesis is going to take home the crown 👑
I’ve driven many of them and personally the Lincoln Corsair is my favorite
How about comparing all of the 4 cylinder options? I drove the Genesis 3.5 and it was too much (in a variety of ways). I am surprised the Macan is not on this list
the Lincoln corsair, has the best looking roof line of all of them , like the genesis for being rwd base , lexus NX for lexus reliability , bottom of the list for looks the NX
I think the NX should have scored a bit higher, well lower in terms of 1-10
Nah the nx is down there. It really deserves a 4/10 barely tying withInfiniti
@@naveenthemachine Yes I believe you. The NX deserves to be place at 4/10 and not 7/10
I don’t see how you can call the Genesis number One when you have a Media screen that is mounted so far away and Narrow making it difficult to reach and read. The interior does not make up for the media screen as this is what you have to interface with all the time. just sayin !!!!
There is also a controller on the center console in addition to being a touchscreen. FYI
Pls pick Midsize luxury SUVs & Sedans too
This is a hard choice I would choose the Volvo XC60 or genesis gv70!
Just purchased a 2023 Porsche Macan S and after looking at several other compact SUV's the Macan is the best by a large margin if you care about driving dynamics and performance. It is not cheap but if you can afford it you won't be disappointed.
Qx55 and nx tie for the worst luxury cuv in the class. Mediocre in just about every way possible
X3 gv70 Rdx xc60 GLC are all way better in just about every way. Not a single area where they fall apart
LOL 6 people unfamiliar with the bot, or 6 alternate logins from the bot.
@@mrsj1417 😂
Lmao !!
Nx outselling all these money pits 😂😂😂
@@ibrahimbashir6634 they are only money pits after 10-20 years
Who even keeps luxury cars for 10-20 years? The vast majority of them lease it not buy it. Even if they buy it generally they are reliable for the first few years.
@@naveenthemachine money pits anyways😂😂😂😂😂😂
Toyota/Lexus they are the only kings of automotive world !!
1)They invented electric cars ( hybrid cars have batteries and all electric cars have batteries too )
2) Toyota invented fuel cell technology
Big giant groups of multiple companies don't sell as much cars as toyota alone !!
So keep on shitting Toyota !!
They will continue to outsell each and every unreliable money pit car brands like a pro
Great video! I love the Mercedes’ GLC the best
So basically, get a top trim Mazda CX 50 and save a ton of money.
Helpful listing of small, luxury SUVs. But you do not provide essential info: Which are hybrids; and what is a mild hybrid? MPG? Price of base unit?
Each of these vehicles has a respective Full Review on our channel with all the details that you can check out 👍
Bias! Funny how you talk about Infiniti inside s Genesis, i shows! Infiti should not be even on this list since it is forgotten and downgraded
Just to share my experience and inform your subscribers: as a 2020 GLC owner, it is by far and absolutely the most garbage vehicle I have ever had in the last 25 years. Super unreliable and too many failures. Even Mercedes dealership told me that it is the vehicle with most complaints. I will Never go back to german hypes again.
Sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience. I have a 2017 GLC with 60K miles, and have fortunately enjoyed the vehicle with no issues. The 2023 models look interesting but always hesitant to buy the 1st year of a major redesign.
@@curiously1510 yes, I bought this GLC with lots of enthusiasm to be my first Mercedes but I hope it's the last.
Great video. I would rather pick the nx and the x3.
X3 over nx all day any day
Vinfast VF8 number 1 and Acura Rdx number 2 😎😎
I gonna perfur the Tesla Model Y for my second opinion for myself of course.
I gonna choose the Volvo XC60 for myself.
Great choice. Volvo's are the best. I own a 2019 volvo s60, and I have never had any issues.
All money pits except for Lexus and Acura
Based on? We own a 2018 GLC amg line, and it’s never had a single mechanical issue beyond regular services, and as it’s around 130k plus miles I wouldn’t consider that a “pit” by any means.
@@jstring depends on models I guess.
@@jstring 130k miles already on a 2018?!?
@@no9254me I have a long daily commute (almost 70 miles each way) and do Lyft lux on the weekends… we drive the sh*t out of our cars 😂
Reliability is based largely on the owners. Most ppl can't afford to maintain luxury, but drive it, whine about "unreliablity" 🤡
I have to be honest about the GV 70. I would not buy that in any other color except White. The problem is that every GV 70 in any other color I have seen at a traffic light, the rear quarter just seems to disappear into the street and the rest of the cars and the back actually becomes very ugly when that happens. So at least with white it doesn't just blend in to the asphalt and scenery, and you actually can see the curves
Sooo true!!!!
Lincoln is a glorified Ford escape
The nx is a glorified rav4 / Camry
You could also say the RDX is a glorified CRV and the NX a glorified RAV4
@@robtaylor4365 the RDX isn’t based off the crv. the platform it uses is bespoke. Not shared with lesser Hondas
As for the nx though, it’s literally just a rav4 underneath. Same platform, base engine, hybrid, PHEV, transmission, suspension
It’s practically the same car only with a different logo and less space
