We just traded our 2019 XT4 for the 2024 model. The interior upgrades are remarkable. The new screen is stunning, and really modernizes the vehicle. Lots and lots of customization features. I have noted the suspension is improved, and I really like the new front end styling. Our 2019 was very reliable, with only two very minor issues, both fixed under warranty. Our new one is the Stellar Black Metallic colour, which really pops in the sun with all of the gold flake. There are lots of little, pleasing details such as the illuminated Cadillac logo on the back of the screen, visible through the windshield, the suede on the sides of the seats, the embroidery on the top of the dash, the carbon fibre trim on the doors and dash etc. Its a really nice vehicle, and a perfect size for the city. Anyone considering a CUV really should check out the XT4.

I'm looking for a small to midsize luxury crossover/suv. 2 rows approx 190 inches long. What I find is that some are high spec and well appointed, but typically the larger vechicles come with higher end and more options. Why don't the manufacturers make the smaller vehicles with the same high end options? Just because I want a smaller vehicle mainly for parking, turning, etc, it doesn't mean I want something less luxurious or high tech.

Thanks for the various reviews as I was in a predicament as to which model to buy.
So today, I placed an order for the 2025 Cadillac XT4 with all options and onyx package 😎
The turbo is peppy and it does everything I want: sport, luxury, quick, nimble, all wheel, front wheel, roof rails for roof rack, 3500lb towing and dampening suspension.
The styling is spot on and a well-rounded, well-designed machine. Went all in with black on black on black 🖤
Will be a great vehicle for me, my Mom where I care for her and drive her around and my little pug... Who is also black 😂

@ I ended up cancelling the order as there was no guarantee of shipping date/date to receive.
So I bought a 2025 KIA Sorento X-Pro which was on the lot (just shipped). It actually has 4500lbs of towing vs the 3500 from Cadillac. Also has an extra row of seating when needed. Warranty was longer, at least 50+ more HP and Torque, comes with all terrain tires (but I upgraded to TOYO for an extra $100) and the interior is more appealing. I also added to warranty for 8 years so everything is covered including electronics for same amount of years (do not have to pay for anything and also a great selling feature should I decide to sell).
I also added a lot of extra accessories which all came out to the same price as the Cadillac XT4. So I basically got an extra $10,000 out of my budget with a whole lot more. I am happy I made the choice.
I was looking at a GLB as well but aesthetically, I like the KIA better, especially with all LED lighting, new grille and taillights and squared-off design that would take a long time to go out of style for a Utility-looking vehicle.

We live in Europe so the options are a bit different for us. Looked at the Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and Mini and narrowed it down to the Volvo and the Audi. Eventually decided on the Audi because my wife wasn't a fan of the Volvo even though we were offered a great deal on the XC40. Got the Q3 Sportback (not sold in North America) and are very happy so far except for the rear seat headroom when our tall kids are with us. Love the way it drives, both on long trips and around town, and got an extended seven year warranty thrown in. Price was OK [we have a 25% VAT to account for instead of sales tax] and we loaded up on many extras including leather seats. We very much prefer the physical buttons for the AC and the traditional shift lever. Would do it again.

I've seen alot of the Audi Q3, since hearing about this vehicle on your page and I quite like it. Noting how expensive vehicles are now, we can now actually think about a regular brand or a luxury brand. The money will be spent, when buying, so why not spoil ourselves somewhere along the way. The only thing that may stop me with a luxury vehicle, is the price of maintenance and oil changes, since they seem to be alot more with these.

I had a Q3 which, while emotionally a loser (involved in a divorce fight) when we got it I loved it! Was a 2014 S-Line with 220 hp fun car (with too much turbo lag) . But it had costly issues needing replacement of the dual clutch robot shifter, radiator, and the tires last about a year. Looked at a new one and it looked cheaper but not better. Happier now with Hyundai Tucson hybrid. Now I can’t sell it no one wants an old q3 too costly to fix.

Yep, my 2024 Cadillac XT4 (0-60 in 7 sec) is quicker than my 2014 Toyota Highlander (0-60 in 7.6 sec) that I traded in. XT4 also handles better too.
I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4 this past weekend (the 2024 highlander drove the same and is pretty much the same chasis and interior so it's boring).
The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag).
The Cadillac has these features that RUclipsrs miss:
    - lighted logo behind the dashboard
    - pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep)
    - left behind child in the rear seat alert
    - capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 )
    - umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce)
    - active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose)
    - power passenger seat with lumbar
    - free 5G hotspot
    - stop/start feature is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced that I don't even notice it.
My other car is a 2017 Corvette Stingray in stickshift.

Id rather it be separate and in the middle, and then a separate screen behind the wheel that shows the speed, etc. And i do like some basic knobs for temperature, radio, etc. While i love technology, a touchscreen just seems annoying and unnecessary for basic things like radio and temperature.

  • @thenderaaa9252

Good info. My concern with all of the cars in the round up is no dual mode fuel injection (Direct and Port) in these small turbos. If you are leasing the vehicle or only plan on keeping it for 30,000-50,000 miles then carbon build up on the intake values should not be a problem, but, if you plan on keeping the SUV for many years/miles it is very possible that the intake valve issue will need to be addressed. I know there is no agreement on how much of a problem intake value carbon build up is (of course every brand that does not have dual mode injection says it is not a problem at all), but if I were purchasing a new vehicle, I would like to have the manufacturer address it.
Lexus/Toyota, Genesis, and I *think* Ford are offering a limited number of engines with dual mode injection.

Definitely Q3 and X1. I have driven XC40 for quite a while, its overrated for its top position. The front seats are thinner than what Volvo used to have. Damping feels more like a warm over subcompact SUV with a luxury badge, not premium brand. I kind of associate Volvo with Buick's tier-2 segment rather than Mercedes/BMW/Audi/Lexus tier 1 premium segment.

@@SHBK1980I like that the LBX is a bit smaller, & I loved my 2015 Yaris SE hatch 5-MT for the 4 years that I had it before it was crushed by a distracted driver. The LBX looks a lot better than the UX in a variety of way. The UX has ugly, weird-looking styling & bulges towards the rear & looks more like a flashy station wagon than a crossover. I don't care much about the luxury aspect of things, as I found even my $19K 2015 Yaris SE to be fun, comfortable & perfectly fine. Same with my current 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE.
