We just traded our 2019 XT4 for the 2024 model. The interior upgrades are remarkable. The new screen is stunning, and really modernizes the vehicle. Lots and lots of customization features. I have noted the suspension is improved, and I really like the new front end styling. Our 2019 was very reliable, with only two very minor issues, both fixed under warranty. Our new one is the Stellar Black Metallic colour, which really pops in the sun with all of the gold flake. There are lots of little, pleasing details such as the illuminated Cadillac logo on the back of the screen, visible through the windshield, the suede on the sides of the seats, the embroidery on the top of the dash, the carbon fibre trim on the doors and dash etc. Its a really nice vehicle, and a perfect size for the city. Anyone considering a CUV really should check out the XT4.

I appreciate you don't do a top 5 but let the viewers choose due to lifestyle, affordability, etc. I think you are the only RUclipsrs that do that. Kudos! That takes the debate out of "which is THE best". And many are loyal fans of a brand, so top X lists falls on deaf ears unless their brand made it to the list.

I've seen alot of the Audi Q3, since hearing about this vehicle on your page and I quite like it. Noting how expensive vehicles are now, we can now actually think about a regular brand or a luxury brand. The money will be spent, when buying, so why not spoil ourselves somewhere along the way. The only thing that may stop me with a luxury vehicle, is the price of maintenance and oil changes, since they seem to be alot more with these.

I’m used to the idrive software..I don’t miss knobs and buttons for various controls…it’s all easily accessible in the very nice looking user interface screen provided…an unobtrusive screen as well…looks great. I actually ordered the X1 too…something I couldn’t do with Toyota for a 2023 Prius…which is how I ended up with X1. Guess I’m stuck with the X1..lol.

I had a Q3 which, while emotionally a loser (involved in a divorce fight) when we got it I loved it! Was a 2014 S-Line with 220 hp fun car (with too much turbo lag) . But it had costly issues needing replacement of the dual clutch robot shifter, radiator, and the tires last about a year. Looked at a new one and it looked cheaper but not better. Happier now with Hyundai Tucson hybrid. Now I can’t sell it no one wants an old q3 too costly to fix.

The UX is fugly towards the rear due to oddly protruding rear lights & rear design in-general. Plus, it looks more like a station wagon than a crossover. Lexus should toss that model in the dumpster & bring over their true subcompact (smaller) size crossover to this market (which also actually looks good) - the LBX & LBX hybrid.

Good info. My concern with all of the cars in the round up is no dual mode fuel injection (Direct and Port) in these small turbos. If you are leasing the vehicle or only plan on keeping it for 30,000-50,000 miles then carbon build up on the intake values should not be a problem, but, if you plan on keeping the SUV for many years/miles it is very possible that the intake valve issue will need to be addressed. I know there is no agreement on how much of a problem intake value carbon build up is (of course every brand that does not have dual mode injection says it is not a problem at all), but if I were purchasing a new vehicle, I would like to have the manufacturer address it.
Lexus/Toyota, Genesis, and I *think* Ford are offering a limited number of engines with dual mode injection.

Definitely Q3 and X1. I have driven XC40 for quite a while, its overrated for its top position. The front seats are thinner than what Volvo used to have. Damping feels more like a warm over subcompact SUV with a luxury badge, not premium brand. I kind of associate Volvo with Buick's tier-2 segment rather than Mercedes/BMW/Audi/Lexus tier 1 premium segment.

I’m not exactly sure why this class even exists. For $50,000 I would consider stepping up one more class for way better options (and a more livable size) or drop a class, go up in size…. and get a vehicle fully optioned out (read -> EVERY option). The mileage savings are minimal and/or moot at that point. Luxury CUVs are overpriced in my opinion. But if I had to drop $50 grand on a not-quite-big-enough CUV… it’d be the Cadillac… leased obviously. Thanks for the video.

Looking at reliability most being below 80 with JD Power, 72 each for BMW and Volvo, I would take a pass on those right away. I would shop amongst your last video Top 5 subcompact SUV and buy a loaded one of those brands (Toyota, Honda, etc) with better reliability, more features, etc... plus most take regular gas. I too was surprised by the good JDP ratings for the Cadillac.

Bizarre that the Lexus UX250h doesn’t make the top 5 cuz it’s small. To me, that’s the point of a sub compact, to be small. As the sign in the Vinyl Cafe record shop says: “We may not be big, but we’re small.”

    • @jraheemjefcoat429

I actually think Cadillac is killing it design wise. Think the BMW got too large. The UX is the perfect size for a *sub* compact. Mini ain’t gonna be mini anymore 🥹 plus it’s too expensive.
I’d be torn between the Cadi & the Q3

I really dont like that one piece long wide infotainment screen. Id rather it be separate and in the middle, and then a separate screen behind the wheel that shows the speed, etc. And i do like some basic knobs for temperature, radio, etc. While i love technology, a touchscreen just seems annoying and unnecessary for basic things like radio and temperature.

LBX is even smaller than the UX as it is based on the Yaris Cross. UX is way more luxorious.

    • @dystopia-usa
      @dystopia-usa 2 месяца назад

@@SHBK1980I like that the LBX is a bit smaller, & I loved my 2015 Yaris SE hatch 5-MT for the 4 years that I had it before it was crushed by a distracted driver. The LBX looks a lot better than the UX in a variety of way. The UX has ugly, weird-looking styling & bulges towards the rear & looks more like a flashy station wagon than a crossover. I don't care much about the luxury aspect of things, as I found even my $19K 2015 Yaris SE to be fun, comfortable & perfectly fine. Same with my current 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE. So, I'm sure the LBX is plenty refined for my tastes even as a "bottom-tier Lexus".

The fact that the Audi Q3 STILL doesn't offer ventilated front seats on the Premium Plus is ridiculous. Even the Lexus UX has ventilated front seats. For the price of a fully-loaded Santa Fe Calligraphy or even a better equipped UX 250h (if you want a subcompact luxury option that doesn't need premium fuel), the Audi Q3 really should offer ventilated front seats. And the same for the XC40. Otherwise there's no point in going for a premium or luxury brand when mainstream brands have luxury models that give you more features for less $
