here are some of the reasons the strategy may not work:
If you died to Stealth Abominations it means you didn't do the top path on Barracks, which you should do for all 4 Barracks.
if you died to Plague Doctor, it's because you didn't get bottom path John's or didn't use the axe ability properly against Plague Doctor.
If your time was to slow for the 1,900+ Gold an hour, it's because you didn't skip when it was safe. (basically every wave is safe except debatably wave 23 /24)

Step 1: place a 2-0 john then upgrade to 2-3
Step 2: place a 0-2 barrack into a 4-2
Step 3: upgrade john to 2-5
Step 4: repeat step 2
Step 5: upgrade both barracks to max
Step 6: place and upgrade 2 barracks to 5-2
Step 7: SPAM 2-5 JOHN’S!
