Say what now..? A Turbocharged engine doesn’t send exhaust gasses back into the engine, the waste gate has nothing to do with making anything environmentally friendly and turbo engines can tow (a lot in some cases).
Also a limited towing capacity in case of the dynamic force engine has nothing to do with the cast aluminium block. By the way, my Japanese built, European registered 2023 RAV4 with Dynamic force engine is allowed to tow 4400lbs…
You were doing so well until the pro’s and con’s..

      You are right, Thank you.
However, the exhaust gases acts on the turbine which propels onto the compressor, dragging in more air into the cylinder for more efficient combustion.

The waste-gate causes more air to be sent to the cylinder which gives a complete or more adequate combustion which is more environmentally friendly compared to a non turbo engine.

@@manufacturingtechniques2377 The wastegate leads exhaust gasses around the turbo to prevent overpressure at high revs or when lifting the gas. It doesn’t lead any air to the intake. if anything it causes less air (pressure) to go to the intake. It’s meant to prevent your engine and turbo from failure

@@roelp1126 that’s not the main function. It’s primary function is to power the turbine

@@manufacturingtechniques2377 Does the ‘waste’ part in wastegate ring any bells? You don’t have to believe me (trained mechanic). In that case just check wikipedia

THIS engine from Toyota is a joke. Efficiency my butt, the six cylinder opposed engine is more efficiency and has killer long life. Plus 50 plus miles per gallon with half the electronics which always come back to bone the owner for repairs.

I agree, we have always gotten 50 mpgs from all other engines
