There are three types of kids that make me really sad and sorry 1) kids who suffer from incurable diseases 2) kids who are being abused 3) kids who played Ace Attorney and decided to become a lawyer
This is actually 100% true. I remember playing Ace Attorney for the first time really having no idea what I was getting into, but when I played the First Turnabout and it taught me how to play perfectly and it also the insanely comedic tone of the game that I was not expecting.
Bro I introduced my friend to ace attorney She was playing the first turnabout when she looked at me and said 'mia's my favorite character' I sat there, holding in laughter for so long just because i knew she was about to cry and i felt bad about it
Ikr? My first AA game, I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was just going “these games seem fun.” Before the case was even over I knew I was hooked. The comedy, the writing, the mystery, it’s all great! Even if I don’t really play the games a lot anymore, the Ace Attorney franchise became part of my top 5 franchises of all time from that first case alone.
Yeah, some of the tutorial cases are amazing. Like the great ace attorney one was insanely good! But also some, like the one where Phoenix got amnesia suck
Its insane how important this first trial is for a person just starting ace attorney. I swear if my very first game was spirit of justice, i would've just quit
This case is one of the best introduction in any game I played because of its simplicity, normally people rank cases separately but I think it's incredibly linked with tournabout sister and they both deserve at least A tier. Trials and tribulations also starts extremely strong with a case I love immensely but it's not a tutorial, it's a full on case condensed with tons of complexity and a story you need to play the full game to understand. AA1 greatness is mostly due to the first 2 hours as you get incredibly invested in those characters and there's nothing superflous, it's distilled AA magic. It takes amazing skills to perform an incipit that strong and representative and I think only TGAA1 comes close to that although the second case is lame for the most part.
As THE starter case of the entire series, it's the best we could have gotten. It's not too difficult but still teaches you to use deeper thinking and apply some basic logic to each case. Nothing else could have made a better introduction to Ace Attorney in my eyes
Though it's not nearly as short, I think the first chapter of Great Ace Attorney is a good first chapter as well, and its an amazing introduction into the series
I really liked that one as well but it’s way too long for a first case. Ryunosuke is super endearing and seeing him get more confident as the case goes on despite especially rigged against him is so satisfying
I love it, i instwntly loved the game after playing the case. If id played like the first case of dual destinies or SoJ, it wouldnt have been a good introduction
I felt so smart when I was able to comfort Lary after the case. The thinker really is too heavy to take to Europe just because it's a neat thingamajig.
I just started the trilogy on my (totally not homebrewed) 3ds and I completely get the hype, the first case was incredible and the games humour is nothing short of golden but the 2nd case was so overwhelming 😭😭😭😭 no spoilers but I feel like the 3rd case is more suitable for a 2nd but more extreme case
Been meaning to write something about this for a long time! People usually consider it mediocre because it doesn't stack up to what comes after, but the true metric of The First Turnabout's efficiency is how many people play it and then go on to play the rest of the game
Actually being one of the shortest cases to tell a compelling story has me ranking this pretty high too!
As someone whose life was also ruined by this franchise, can confirm
💀💀💀
Why your Life was ruined by the franchise ? I don’t understant…
Bcoz its toooo good

My life changed becausd my friend introduce me to this franchise

First case is a perfect introduction. Case 2 is perfect emotionally

Its worst for me because the first game i played is SOJ and im literally stuck at the first divine seance for some reason

This case is perfect!
B tier
(No offense, just a joke)
Bciz theres a lot more cases that are much better better it keeps getting better
@@ChichikimCdyea, it’s a good case… it’s just that there are much better cases in comparison.
This case was the prefect way to start the series and set the tone for case 2
Plus Mia is alive
Downside being no Maya.
When I saw mia I said she was my favorite character and then the game just said let's kill her
Hard agree. People shit on tutorial cases way too hard for no reason.

Eh that one kinda sucks
But I am kinda biased since I don't like TGAAC

It’s a perfect setup for a perfect game
this about to be a fire series

will you rank the other cases too?
I mean, it’s the one that hooked me to the game. So it being the first one is perfect

This editing is incredible!
The big problem with this case is that there isn't really a whole lot to it, plus we already know who the killer is from the beginning.
Yeah agree completly
Great to see you upload again! 😄
4/10, no Edgeworth
Yes
Strongly agree
Only a B cmon mia Is alive in this
Biggest downside. The Butz
You think I didn’t see the clock change to 69:69
I agree🤓☝️
ngl turn about trump did all of this better
People still talk about this game??
Almost dropped the game because of this shitty case😂
