This is a great analysis! It extracts the powerful and important message Spielberg intended to convey with this movie - apart from the typical Spielberg-Adventures within the movie. Mora's monologue to Peter at the window back in London hits so much different when you're an adult, and especially a parent. Thank you for the reminder what a great movie this is.
@@MhLiMz Thank you for your comment! I have loved this film since I was very young. As a child I enjoyed the adventure, but I agree that as an adult message of fatherhood is what hits home for me.
My dad was a hard worker. He strongly valued education and a strong work ethic. He loved to give and serve others and genuinely loved people! I also have fond memories of him doing my sister's and my hair for school. taking us fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing ball. He was interested in our interests and sharing his with us as well. He is a big part of who I am. Thank you for sharing this message. It is encouraging and powerfully motivating. A great video using a great film!
It is remarkable that the moments with our loved ones which strike us most powerfully are often simple. Small acts can tell children they are loved and important. Thank you for sharing some of those moments from your life. You’re father lived a wonderful life. ❤
What impact did your father have in your upbringing? And what do you do to successfully navigate your responsibilities as a father? Please share your thoughts below. Happy Father's Day!
@@GeekyStoics Hook is one of my favorite movies and one of the greatest movies ever made! There may not be a film with a stronger message about the importance of a father fighting to restore his role with his children. I saw your YT short which compared JD Vance’s story with the scene when Peter yells at his kids. It was brilliant and made me excited to see another creator tapping into this powerful movie. Great work!
