- Today we are looking at an interesting selection of watch brands which people generally dislike despite their enormous success on the market. HOW!?

For me it was Fossil I never got why people hate it so much, it was the brand that got me and my father into watches and still it holds up to its quality obviously on the cheaper side of the spectrum and I love it...
I dont think that the people that hate those things are the same that buy them.

I’m not going to lie I love my 216570 Polar, but also love the Pagani Homage when I travel to countries where I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing a Rolex

You can get stabbed or even murdered in Europe, wearing a copy or homage too. So…funny, but South East Asia is becoming the safest region on the globe for watch loving people .
@@arikcagan7123I’ll tell you something funny about that, I’m not worried about some pussies in Europe with knifes I’m Albanian and we have our police in Europe ;) I just rather lay low, most people don’t even know what an explorer 2 is a Rolex let alone a lookalike. It depends also where and when you go out. I was in London in 2022 wearing a two tone sub and a twin eagle thick 18k gold chain, trust me people what symbol that is. My point is homage watches are great to lay low and keep your original home for unwanted attention

The Glycine is a perfect watch. Nothing wrong, so NOBODY hates this watch when they have one. It's only the purchase of the brand by Invicta and suddenly everybody and his sister HATES a watch they never touched. Be honest and review a Glycine, then talk again.
Exactly, other than the recent one off Invicta x Glycine watch the watches coming out of Glycine haven't suffered at all in quality.

Uemura is very nice. I am still trying to get it back :( the guy wants an IWC or a Panerai for it. Imagine
I've had three separate Seikos that lasted more than 24 years. I've always loved the brand despite some of their...cooky all overness...:)
In the end, the watch needs to have meaning to you and that's all you need to wear one. My favorite watch ever was less than 50 bucks and my family got it for me.

I buy what I like. Look at watches I think I like. Sometime buy and sometimes don’t. And never buy what I do not like. And then the price factor. And the deal factor. If the Rolex Explorer 40mm will go back to the $7000s I will buy. On the other end, 😅 Pagani design l don’t like. But SAN Martin, Escapment Time, Boddery etc, I like. Same with Seiko. Turtle 🐢 Samurai, 5GMT etc 👍then the Deal…
Number 10 for me would be the Omega Speedmaster special model circus.
Not only are the prices getting sillier and sillier, but the watches are getting more and more unimaginative and childish.

I cant believe I am going to come up for Invicta but here we are. I honestly think that their watches aren't all that bad. I don't mean those weird monstrosities and those 50mm frisbees but their Pro divers are decent. I have recently seen one of their "Master of the Sea" watches in slate grey that looks awesome even. Id go so far as to say that I'd rather have one of those than a PRX. 😅

Timex. An amazing history, and some amazing value watches, but often hated by watch folk. Citizen. I think they suffered because in the internet age their name didn't sound as "sexy" or "Japanese" as Seiko. But they seem to be in the midst of a "revival".
I hated the prx but I bought one 😅 never wore it because I realised it was too big for my liking, sold it a few month later, same with the Hamilton murph, got the 40 mm and didn't like it and the 38 was too small, so I returned it, now I'm debating to buy one again
As with everything if something can cause an emotion it means you care about it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a positive or a negative one. What matters is the magnitude. As they say from love to hate there’s just one step.
If a product or design causes emotions in people - it’s a good one.
I would quit watch collecting before I would ever wear a Hublot.

I can't find the picture on Facebook, and it's not on the official website either, but it could be a soon-to-be-released model, because Pagani only recently started using only the shield logo without text on the dials.

There are some so call "affectionado" who themselves claim wouldn't get a Rolex and hating on people wearing or owning one. They are as equally as disgusting as snobs who only "wear" Rolexes.

Try as I might I’ve never been able to look past Seiko’s hideous “X” logo, it’s like a hairy wart on someone’s face. No matter how much I try not to see it, my eyes always eventually go there.

Who hates Casio??? It is an incredible brand, especially for sports watches.
You can hate rolex as much as you want going with the heard but you can’t deny the Submariner 124060 is as close to perfection on a dive watch you can ever get!

PRX is garbage. Cash grab. Bracelet too sharp. Plastic pallet fork and escapement. My watch was a few seconds slow per day. Junk. IMO. Had Ice blue and sold it after 1 month. to each his own I guess.

@@bertholdbach4959 Problem my specific example was that it would have been forever stuck with a slow watch movement. These watches cannot be regulated by a local watchmaker. The are fixed regulated off the assembly line. So, it really is the luck of the draw on the movement specs when you purchase one of these. If I wanted it corrected it would have had to go back to Swatch, to replace the movement altogether. Not worth the hassle in MY opinion. Cheers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the PRX’s bracelet isn’t made in the far east: the “Swiss Made” rules only apply the watch head & say the strap/bracelet can be made anywhere

Agreed. For me AP is my most hated, they could do so much more with the fortunes they make milking the Royal Oak, consciously and unapogetically turning a horological icon into a status symbol for influencers. Richard Mille is as well, but at least they have always been.
Having said that I would immediately buy a steel RO at retail if I could 😊

I'm going to go in a different direction, and say I hate the Rolex Superclones. To me, it's creepy and gross that they don't just pay homage to a watch, they 1 to 1 rip it off. That said, I might accept one if I was offered.
I must admit... you kinda lost me with your last Rolex video. I really like when you find Us a great deal, rather than showing how You got a great deal... that isn't available to anyone. See what I mean? You picking up what I'm putting down?
This on the other hand, is a great video... true... we hate those brands.

It's definitely not about showing off, It's more about sharing with you a pleasant experience. I was totally surprised by the watch and I am pretty sure there are owners or people which have or wants to grab such a model and I found helpful to share my feelings about it :)

Seestern is the worst.
Even Pagani adds a bit of a twist to their "copies", but Seestern are borderline fakes.
Besides, Doxas are not that expensive so I honestly don't understand throwing away $300 for a piece of crap when you can save up for the real thing in 6-12 months (if you can afford throwing away $300) for a Seestern.
It’s laughable that people on eBay are STILL trying to sell a MoonSwatch for almost a grand 😂 Hard pass.

@@brucesuitt993 Well, I liked TAG before it was cool to like TAG again and I can't see what's so dramatically different that everyone suddenly decided they are cool again. But then everyone thinks the 39mm Glassboxs are the bees knees and I really, really hate them. Maybe I should get a T shirt with 'I wore TAG before it was cool to like TAG again' on it?
