in the legend of runeterra cards there is always a little history going. jhin history in the cards is that the maker, the person who make is weapons, asked him to kill some persons who stealed some of his creations, lord broadmane stealed a glove, the legion deserter a mechanical bird, and in the card "captived greyback" the person take a broch that allow to mindcontrol. she used it on that big Shark /lizar creature. the stage hand is a person jhin convinced to help him in exange for revenge but the revenge implied in the end she blowing herself up together with her enemies with one of jhin lotus trap. the interctions with annie are mostly cause they both use similar mechanic in the card game and will end being in the same deck pretty often

the ",but he wasnt hungry anymore" line was what made me really wanna read more of jhins story. and the akali capture is in a comic, im not sure which champion it is specifically for but it contains shen, zed, akali and jhin.
The flavor text for the cards helps. Jhin is hired to kill the Noxians who stole from The Maker. The final kill is on the Ionian who let them do it.
There are stories for Jhin's victims in Legends of Runeterra, like how the stagehand helped Noxus enter Ionia during the war.
Everything is up to date on the wiki so yes, he does occasionally change the summoners rift theme, can be heard humming it from time to time and is once again in prison ;w; free my mans, him boy done nothing wrong! (╥﹏╥)

Has to be one of the best concept for a champion so far. They have yet to top it.

There's a story in Jhin's cards with Legion Deserter, Lord Broadmane, Captive Greyback and Stagehand and they tell it in their flavour text.
Dark Cosmic Erasure loses a crap ton of points for being a $200 chroma skin for an old legendary skin. it really doesnt add anything to it that makes it worth that much.
The awaken cinematic happens within the timeline that the Zed comic takes place

Also, to buy Jhin champion from the shop, you have to spend 4444 blue essences.
Jhin is that one character i hope not to get unmasked or it will shatter the illusion
they already unmasked master yi and zed and everyone seems to be applauding for them, but I hope they would not do that to Jhin

I like how even you point out the erasure skin isnt much of a difference, a FOMO skin that costs $200...

@@AvanteReacts Riot recently introduced a gacha-system into the game for a new line of mythic skins which in it's reality is only a recolor + new splashart, with no other changes done when compared to it's originial counterpart, which is only made available through the said-gacha system up until it leaves the rotation (FOMO) of which I believe amounts to at least 40 capsules/"loot boxes" which equates to $200 if unlucky.
IIRC riot stated that people want to spend more on the game on items that hold more value and ig they settled on limited edition $200 chromas :/
'Breakout' True Damage Ekko, 'Peacemaker' High Noon Yone, and Dark Cosmic 'Erasure' Jhin are the few FOMO skins released.
Honorable mention to 'Divine' Heaven Scale Lee Sin, which adds a cool finisher when kill dragons and/or towers (idr which one it was) but it's still not worth $200 for a finisher imo.
11:08 that story is one thats depicted in the Zed comic, these three boyfriends are all tied together ✨
(Side note, Jhin's LoR play style syncs really well with Annie so that is a reason for the voicelines, he also does have a lil campaign you can playthrough in LoR which gives some backstory on the other cards such as The Stagehand, etc.)

Dark cosmic erasure is a chrom that costed 200 dollar if you did have luck, it was a gatch skin. so there for its jhins worse skin
