It' an old but still decent laptop but need some upgrade.

i have this laptop, i bought it as a 2nd hand laptop. its really cheap, i upgrade it to 8gb of ram, switch to hdd to ssd, and use linux (arch btw) instead of windows. runs like butter!, can even play csgo, and gta v, just really in the lowest settings but its still playable! i dont really care about graphics quality that much

I don't think so, better stick with the same ram module 👍
@@JasonDonguines Thanks for your reply! As I understand it should depend on the Processor specs. Crucial claims that the Lenovo G40-30 can handle a single stick of 8 GB for instance... And here @qxb348 says he got it working with 8 GB and Intel states that their Intel Pentium Dual Core N3540 processor can handle 8 GB DDR3L-1333 (1333 MHz)... So it is more likely to be able to handle it but depending on processor I remark. Best regards!

I have the same lap top , this ssd is 6.9mm, can I also fit a 7.8mm thick one ?
Hi I'm not quite sure I think there room for a 1mm difference it's not really snug when I installed mine

Maybe but not too powerful and it will be a tedious work.
Gusto ko mag-upgrade ng dalawang 8gb Crucial DDR3 para sana maging 16gb siya. Pero di siya nag tuturn-on. Pero pag ibalik ko yung luma na isa na ram yung 2gb ram nag tuturn-on siya. Pahelp naman po
