Suzuki RG 500 gamma | Dynorun | Soundchek | 2Takt Sound

Wir hatte eine Suzuki RG 500 gamma bei uns auf dem Prüfstand. An dem Motorrad wurde einiges verändert (z.B. Gabel + Gabelbrücken + Räder aus der RGV250, Sportauspuffanlage von Figaroli, Motorumbau auf "Screamer")
Hier ein paar Eindrucke von der Bestandsaufnahme auf dem Prüfstand.

81 PS am Hinterrad was in etwa 91 PS an der Kurbelwelle ergeben würde.
Somit 4 PS unter der Werksangabe liegt .
Normalerweise müsste man hier deutlich darüber liegen durch die modifizierte Abgasanlage wie man sieht .
Ein Indiz dafür das diese nicht bzw noch nicht zusammen mit der Bedüssung abgestimmt wurde .
RG 500er mit einer guten Abgasanlage und und ordentlichee Abstimmung kommt man schon über 100 ps Rad Leistung was gute 110 bis 115 PS am Motor ergeben würde.

wir gehen auch davon aus, dass es hier noch einige Probleme gibt (wahrscheinlich auch in Zusammenhang mit dem Umbau)...

Schöne Leistung... aber die waren ja echt giftig! Der plötzliche Leistungseinsatz musste bewältigt werden.

I don't know about the rg500 but the rd500 still oils on a closed throttle

ofc it does. all self lubing 2 strokes do. it's done on engine revs

It always scares me when people let the engine brake with no throttle or lubrication on twostroke engines after a hard pull when everything is hot. I prfer to clutch out to avoid the risk of seizing a piston.

You mean after each run?

@@PS-Treff after every pull on the dyno. Shutting off the throttle and let the engine break with no lubrication is a risk. Another thing to do if you don,t want to pull the clutch is to raise the idle so the engine gets a bit moore lubrication. Here is how we do when we dyno my bikes:

Yeah ok
We made a lot off runs back in the days with our rsv250
Always like that up to 6th after the run and than little bit throttle.. and had never any problems

It is rare that the piston seize but it has happened to me.

have u never rebuilt a self lubing 2 stroke? the pump supplies on revs.not on open throttle
