The tutorial looks easy enough to understand and I love the way you made the UI for it! Teaching the movement or basic combat is super basic for me and just instinct but since you can move on to the next page instantly this seems like a good solution. Very solid tutorial in my opinion!
Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for so that players can go through the tutorial on their own pace. Some people are faster than others and I thought this was the perfect balance for it
Nice work! I love interactive tutorials and yours looks really interesting! One suggestion I have. Is it possible to tie in the book to the level loading? So maybe after the tutorial you go to a thing that says "Forest Chapter" and after clicking on that it transitions to your level loading art?
That pretty neat! Was the tutorial book idea your very own one or has there been something similar you took inspiration from? Also 2 things: 1. Is the turorial skippable? 2. Can you reopen the book anytime you want?
Thank you!! I didn't directly take inspiration to make the tutorial in the book, but the majority of the game actually also takes place within the book. It's most likely something that has been done before, like in Final Fantasy Tactics for example, but I didn't take direct inspiration to make this tutorial visually inside of the book. The tutorial is currently not skippable. You can simply click on next page a few times, which takes about 10 seconds and I think this is a minor inconvenience if you don't don't want to watch the whole tutorial. I don't want to make the tutorial fully skippable because I think it's important to showcase some of the mechanics in the game. The book is a big part of the game which you can open most of the time. It currently doesn't contain the tutorial, but I will add a feature for this in the future.
What do you think about the tutorial? Is it too short, too long, too much text, anything else? What would you have done differently? Let me know!
Good luck on your job search!
I really like the tutorial. Animated instructions are great to let the player fully understand what's going on.
Thank you!! 😄
I'm liking the tutorial book look!
Thanks! 📖
game looks aweosme

That's a really good idea! I'll write it down and add something like that in the future
@@GoldenEvolution Nice! :D Glad I could "help" !
