I so enjoy your tutorials it's lovely to see the beautiful scenery around you . I'm catching up with them . Your correct about hidden gems always exciting thank you Kim 👍
I have watched EVERY one of your videos now, I find your enthusiasm addictive, even when the light wasn't there, your videos have had a really wide range and been filmed in all weather conditions, everything from , wind, rain, sleet, snow, and The unusual Scottish heatwave, and throughout, you have been so positive (with the odd dissapointment) - sadly this was the last video on my list, so i am looking forward to your next batch of videos... I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the series so far, and I look forward to the ones you haven't yet recorded....I can see a future TV presenter "Mark my words" anyway Thank you for posting these BRILLIANT videos, and your stunning photos.
Just finished reading all your lovely comments! Thanks again David - very very kind of you to say. I'm glad you've enjoyed all the videos you've seen so far and hope you will continue to enjoy what's to come :)
Yay! I'm glad you decided to have a look the bay is called North Haven and as you discovered is a beautiful hidden treasure on our stunning NE Coastline....... Next time you must head up the steps on the other side and follow the path around it leads you to more hidden treasures including the old Long Haven quarry and small Granite huts ....... the Puffins are best viewed on the right hand side path as you come to the first house, follow around heading towards Slains Castle and you will see them on the bends at the water side! I was only here the other week as I hadn't visited this year and I had forgotten just how much I love this place especially when the sun is shining and you can hear all the birds on the cliffs oh how good it is for the soul to enjoy these days........ Congratulations on your wonderful vlog it's great to see our underrated coastline getting some exposure it really is worth visiting for both its stunning views & wildlife 😊
Thanks for your local knowledge again Leigh-Ann. Would love to explore further and find those places you mention. Don't think I'll make it back again this summer but hope to do more exploring in the autumn/winter months. Will have to wait till next year to see the puffins there now i think. Thanks again!
Kim, another great vlog. Having just got back from London and the noise and the bustle, it's so nice to hear the sound of the sea and birds is just fantastic. Looking to be in Aberdeen in October, so a short excursion is on the cards. Once again great video.
Good morning Kim. Amazing sights & sounds, beautiful location 😚 Aren't the birds vocal? Ha! Fab sound to hear though & I love how you say it makes you feel alive. Such a lovely interesting & calm bay. Those sea stacks are incredible, I'm now imagining the stunning images you'll get at sunset in autumn! It is really shattering trying to get up for sunrise in summer, I did it on holiday last year a few day,s, but was so tired by about 9pm! Ha! I'm off to north east coast of England for a few days & thinking about getting up for 🌅 sunrise , but 4.30am starts wear me out! 😴😚
Thanks again Debbie and they sure are vocal but I love it! Good luck/hope you got on OK with your sunrise awakenings in England. I'll be doing some sunrise shoots again soon - going to be tough but hopefully worth it :)
I only stumbled across your channel a few days ago but I must say how refreshing it is to find someone with such enthusiasm for the beauty of their country and wildlife. You have inspired me to revisit my local coastline, Dorset, with fresh eyes and to plan a possible visit to Scotland in the autumn.
Welcome to the journey - lovely to have you on board! Hope you make it to Dorset soon and enjoy every minute of it. I can image that is is a beautiful area.
Hi Kim, as some wag said on one of your Vlogs, it's your own personal helicopter services coming to fetch you... Gotta laugh eh?.. Good Vlog, stunning views again - Wish I was there... Cya
Hi Kim. I will make sure to visit the Bullers of Buchan as well, next time I make it to Scotland. As much as I like your positive attitude, this video also made me thinking. In most of Europe the Summer was (and still is) warm and sunny but in the past years we hat a lot of hottest (and driest) mays, junes and overall years since records started. We all like it sunny and warm, but for nature this is very often pure stress. I would be really interested in how this summer and its temperatures affect the seabird colonies. Most of the atlantic seabird species depend on fish that lives in cold water. So be careful what you wish for when you say 'if only it was as hot as the mediterranean sea'. :) I don't want to spoil the good mood or be a pessimist though.
Everything has its pros and cons. We've had so many bad summers in Scotland over the past decade. Its been refreshing to have a good summer (like I remember from my early childhood). Obviously warming seas etc are a worry but I'd be out enjoying nature even if the weather had been bad. Just got to make the most of whats thrown at us but keep that scientific and concerned head on too. Thanks for your input :)
Two indicators of the success of this channel, Kim: 1) Running into followers of your channel from other countries. 2) When you go on a shoot, the news channels send out helicopters to report on it in real time. 😄
I love your upbeat, positive presentation style; its uplifting and brilliantly done. And your love of adventuring in what some might consider off-the-beaten path or secondary locations. That seemingly “random” tunnel would have made me curious about its history too.
Love this. Probably won’t ever be able to afford going there. You’re the next best thing!! Thanks so much 🥰 Curious if after 4 years you’ve got yet another hottest summer there on record?
Great video! I’ve been going to Bullers for a couple of years as it’s fairly local, never seen Puffins up the ‘left’ side however this year I decided to venture up the right side and found quite a few puffins :)
Kim, what a beautiful place! It is not surprising that you might run into tourists who saw your videos with you soon to hit the 10K subscriber mark; congratulations on that. I believe you are the best representative for the Scotland tourist industry that is not being paid by them! Keep inspiring us to love the natural beauty around us all.
Wonderful video...both the sights and sounds!! And your enthusiasm is very uplifting. Great work! It has been a very hot summer here in Canada as well. Several 30+ C days in a row. Hey...you need a little drone to add to your experience...well help to share it with us at least!
I enjoyed watching Kim - the coast comes alive on nice days like that. I too can't believe the warm weather we are getting, even on dull days the temperature is still high. Hope it lasts a few more weeks :)
Another great video Kim!!! It's nice to see that you are having the nice warm weather! I wish I knew what the temp was in Fahrenheit there. Here in my Florida area the temperatures are like 91 92 Fahrenheit with the humidity at about 88%! The midday temperatures are totally unbearable and it's next to impossible to get out to take pictures. But that's the worst time of day to be out taking pictures anyway. Here in Florida the problem is the bugs that we call Sand Gnats and the mosquitoes! I've been getting some really amazing photographs by getting into the mangroves which are trees that grow mainly in the water. But when you get back in the mangroves there is no Breeze so the heat, humidity, and the bugs can be almost unbearable! But the photo opportunities outweigh all of that! I'm sorry you did not get to see any puffins. I think they are truly amazing Birds! Remember don't get too close to those Cliff edges! Lol!!!!! Marvin
It's interesting to hear what challenges those form other countries have to face to get images. I thought our midges were bad enough but sounds like you've got some pretty bad things to contend with in Florida too!
hi kim the puffin area is on the right side and not that far away from car park , was there last week and got pics of a load of them on a corner area at their nesting holes i counted about 15 on that one bit . Keep up the great vlogs of our area :)
Hi Kim, always a pleasure when your videos pop up in my mail... I once again hear the " midges with motors " flying by. lol... Have you given any thought to getting yourself a " HIDE " Kim? We call them blinds here in the states... They are quite surprisingly affordable too. Just a another way to get " up close & personal " when shooting wildlife... Morten Hilmer has a link to some nice photographers blinds ( Tragopan ) he is currently trying out. Loved the hidden tunnel surprise! Cool stuff... :-) Bill...
nice location scouting Kim, would be quite a spot to capture some good sunrise photographs -- when it's a bit cooler of coarse :-D . BTW it's been -2c and less during the last few mornings here in Sydney, the world has been turned upside down I think.
Thank you Kim this looks like a really peaceful & beautiful place to be thanks for taking us along with you. That tunnel must be full of history ( if only walls could talk eh?) I wonder if it was for transporting fish or maybe seawead from the shore line ? might try and research it unless anyone already knows the answer? Things like that intrigue me :D Teddy
Looks lovely. Certainly not an area as widely thought of as "Scotland." Thanks for sharing another locale for the 'eventual' list. And "stupid o'clock" is a permanent setting on my alarm.😉 Keep on going.

That bay is absolutely stunning. This is why i love Scotland so many beautiful locations
It sure has Johnny
Brilliant vlog from a stunning location. Thanks Kim.
Wow that’s a fantastic bay, the colour of the water is amazing

I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe you have that beautiful space to yourself!
Some beautiful images to be had at the bay and it’s always a win when your videos arrive!

Love this. Probably won’t ever be able to afford going there. You’re the next best thing!! Thanks so much 🥰

Good vlog again...looks a nice cove to visit any time of year.
That sea in the bay was so calm, looked unreal. To bad about the puffings, I love how baby a puffing is called a puffling.
It did look unreal and such a cute name!
Great video! I’ve been going to Bullers for a couple of years as it’s fairly local, never seen Puffins up the ‘left’ side however this year I decided to venture up the right side and found quite a few puffins :)

Great location Kim, I could spend the weekend there taking pics of the sea birds, beautiful 👏👏👏
Me too Paul - they're a wonderful sight!
Great video as always.
You want to get yourself down to Boots and get some helicopter repellent 😂😂😂😂
HAHAHA - I know! Those pesky choppers are following me around everywhere just now.
