mabe if the naval experience wouldnt suck some people would play it. right now the maps are terrible. You spawn in and the guy with the bigger more armored ship wins. Everyone else is there to be food for the big fish. Unless small boats get enough kills to spawn a high altitude Bomber like the Ju288, nobody but other top tier ships can kill you
Bots are the only targets that is easy to kill with French battleship, but for me we need more RP per battle and more score. It's pain..... for BR, decompression is not the only way, you can do +0.7 -0.7 or less like +0.3 -0.3
maybe submarines can save it, i would not recommend to add any more obsolete hulls from ww1 almost no one is interested in them, start with actual ww2 ones or cold war vessels.
The problem with Naval is, it's boring. Everybody spawns looking at each other which quickly evolves into a fuck fest. At higher BRs, if you're not in a battleship, you are useless.
I mean, if you create a mode and forget about it. Don't improve it and leave it as tasteless and unbalanced mess, you will have a crisis. Which really sucks cuz me and the rest of 6 people that play naval see that it really has potential. Adding another fucking battleship =/= fixing naval
Also with this update decompression actually would help out Naval, at least to some degree. Two main reasons noone plays NRB are: - Long queue (worked on with this update) - Unbalanced matches (BBs BCs vs CL and DDs) which makes the mode almost unplayable if you are not interested in the biggest ships. I don't really care if I'm fighting AI or Players, maybe thats why I don't see the void of players in certain BRs as a problem, at least now when it is possible to play even with out them. Before that, yea you wouldnt be able to play the mode half of the time.
@@WujoNeronI think with air and ground bots would annoy me, but the style of gameplay naval has lends well to bots and it doesn't detract from the modes at all imo.
Yeah, I really looove spawning in my 5.0 destroyer with 4 people on a team and face 3x +0.7-1.0 players and 1x +0.3 BR. Adding players in the middle of the match means that you just will not push forward because the gameplay can change at any moment where enemy just spawns in his +0.7-1.0 BR ship and swat you down.
Honestly, restructured as a PvE mode purely, fleet on fleet or fleet on shore defenses would be infinitely better than how it is. IMO the only reason World of Warships works and is bearable is the HP mechanic (and a much better grind, but that is a WT wide issue not just isolated to Naval).
Naval just feels like a mode that just amplified the Ground RB issues. Most maps have no cover and the moment you spawn, everyone is shooting eachother Gaijin really needs to restructure their mapmaking and gamemode teams. Or actually make them if they somehow haven't already Also, instead of going through the trouble of decompressing BRs, why not just make the max BR difference in battle 0.7 instead of 1.0?
coastal is a slog, just get a boat or destroyer from bp, i have grinded france till rank 3, italy rank 2 2 full, i have the vs-8 for germany and the whole rank 4 on ussr, unless you like coastal there is no obligation to torture oneself with coastal slogging, i was pretty fond of coastal thats why i slogged through the ussr tree.
Fr. The grind is hell and the separation between coastal and blue water made things even harder... They should've made blue water ships their own line and keep every naval vehicle on the same tree, so you would be able to research coastal with blue water and vice-versa, while at the same time not locking cruisers behind PTs and such
@@lucasmoreno2154 yeah, I agree with that, make it the same way ground can research helicopters, and maybe reducing the rp cost in general, a 7.0 ship costing as much or more rp than an 11.7 tank is ridiculous and unreasonable.
Naval probably not played because its AWFUL 90% Of games you have. After waiting 4 mins for a game. The game experience is TERRIBLE : Huge ships and the whole team all spawn in 10 square yards of of each other, with the enemy at point blank range ( 5 miles) no where to move becuase everyone is spaawned within 30 yards of 2 map edges meaning all you can do , while taking constant fire ( because I'm in a Helena) is sail, while stuck to the front , side and rear of your team mates straight at BR 7 BB's. And then , loose server conection . Get nothing and now have a LOCKED CREW. Very shoddy treatment of players, maps way too small. I give up on it. Its WORSE than World of Tanks. I'm totaly unintrested in the worthless battle pass. Tried it one time and found it complex, and kinda childish and failed to complete it even though I played every day. Nothing worth having. Cammo's , insignia etc and ' war bonds' hold no intrest.
These Naval changes are good for getting into matches faster. Bopping bots for SL is my favorite part of Naval right now, so having lower time in cue will be nice. It was around 5-6 minutes previously.
@@filonin2 The good thing about naval is that if you are on the right vehicle at the right time, you are playing a point n click game. Very chill and the bots help making it even chiller
I have to disagree on decompression being to blame for the current naval problems, I think it has more to do with the slow nature of naval gameplay, especially in the higher tiers with battleships, as the lower tiers with destroyers and coastal vessels seem to avoid this problem.
speaking to new players who tried Naval, they hated the aiming system tht WT did and preferred that of WOWS. I dont really blame them. fun mode, just needs to be new player friendly
Part of the problem is WoWs is extremely arcadey and players in WT tend to try Naval Realistic which is a much slower game mode with less user friendly aiming compared to WoWs. Naval Arcade is a closer comparison, even then it's much less arcadey than WoWs.
The current aiming system is a joke. It's either a big bug or it was done by design. Add to that constant uptiers and losing streaks and you have a receipt for a disaster.
I came from wows, it's what got me into historical MMO type stuff, I wish I could analyze hour count, grind, and gameplay (I have similar hours in wows and WT) with more reach. I think there should be some more in depth analysis of the advantages of Wee Gees products without the criticism of "grr not realistic WT is sooo realistic it's better, but when I play I complain"
I hope that they adjust the daily, special, and battle pass tasks to account for the majority of your kills being bots. I remember struggling on one of the earlier seasons tasks, because the bot kills wouldn't count towards the challenge.
Enduring Confrontation is the future of naval. They should dedicate more time to that mode. Naval as it is now is lacking in gameplay for how slow it is paced. It should be a mix of ground rb and air rb. Take the secondary objectives from air rb like killing AI and bombing bases, combine them with the objectives and SP mechanics from ground rb and put it all on a giant map. Make spawns limited only to SP for bluewater, maybe limit air spawns to 2 or 3. Make light ground targets and heavy ground targets like bunkers, ammo depots and naval defense cannons so BB can shell ground targets as well, or aircraft can attack them. Put some ground targets even by the costal spawns, so that our PT boats and river craft can be used as designed....Have random AI waves of bombers/dive bombers spawn in the map and attack the teams, forcing players to stick with one another for AA or risk getting caught in open water.....All the potential is there, they just need to use it....
The grind is too damn high.... and if you are in a destroyer and light cruiser pickes you out your fucked. The balance between the craft is all off.. let class fight class that is the whole point of the classes.
Naval mode and i say this as a fan of naval vehicles in war thunder! is so boring for alot of people, because it doesnt even use its full potential, also the maps are quite meh also the overall feeling is just...i mean to a certain degree its realistic, but being constantly on fire from HE shells of enemy ships where you barely cant do anything against it, ruins the entire fun for example japan. There ships seem to be consisting of wood soaked in gasoline and drenched in pure sulfur! We have soooooo manny naval planes in this game, yet literally they have no usecase? using your plane with a torpedo against a player ship, would be SOO much fun, but its just a a death wish! AA is controlled by A.I gunners who already start hammering on your plane from over 5 kilometers away, which makes plane gameplay in Naval comepletly useless. I played Naval ALOT, and from all these matches, i maybe have seen a handfull of people, who used a plane. Bigger ships already have nearly 51 seconds of reload time, how hard can it be, that when an enemy plane is approaching you get a voice like warning from the crew, and also a direction indicator from where that plane is approaching, while you still have 45 seconds of reload on your main batterys? so you can switch to your AA and shoot the plane? is that really to much for modern gaming audience?
naval has SOOOO many issues where to even begin? the spawns are horrible, spawn to spawn line of sight and you spawn in basicly touching your teammates. "out of bounds" timer for bigger vessels is way to short, alot of them have one chance of getting back inside the zone within the timer. and i know it sound counter intuetive, but br decompression, the cruiser vs battleships thing hav egot to go, only one of us is going to enjoy that. coastal need to have the RP requirements reduced, a 4.3br boat costing 300k+ to research? get out of here! and then 19k-29k per part after that.. for a 4.3br?
So how come ground is more varied? The way Naval is currently set up would be like having to grind all the light tanks, then all the mediums, then all the heavies? Most of the destroyers have unmodeled systems and the maps are bad/overused. Naval needs a complete rethink. I would be fine if Gaijin shelved it to completely overhaul it as long as they gave a time frame of when it would return. How come in ground you can still play different types of vehicles, while in naval they all feel similar.
Br decompression does not lead to this... No one wanting to play the game does... As much as I love being in a 4.7 light destroyer and seeing a 5.7 cruiser THIS IS NOT a br decompression issue its the simple fact no one wants to play naval if anything it's more of it's not enough of br decompression happening
They feed into each other...BR compression leads to nobody wanting to play naval because their 4.7 light destroyer is getting ammo racked by a heavy cruiser 9km away. So maybe they take out a 5.7 cruiser thinking they will donk 4.7, only to have 6.7 Battleships absolutely wreck them...Then they stop playing naval altogether.
@@TheEuropeanCanadian I do agree it's both u can't have the cake and eat it to. I have been playing wt for 10 years br decompression, map design, grind (modifications) have been my three biggest complaints. Personally I would love to see a bracket system like SRB or SIM they have got to step away from the 1.0 up and 1.0 down I have subscribed for awhile but I don't think you have discussed pros and cons to a bracket system
@@TheEuropeanCanadian With the addition of bots, decompression on Naval is perfectly possible. Decompression is an issue when you don't have enough players to feed the queue, but the moment you flood the matches with bots this issue is automatically gone.
@@psychosocialpenguin5358 Yep, sometimes it feels that the only solution is to play BR 7.0, but then the big shells don't work or just work sometimes and you have to wait a long time for a reload. It gets boring very fast. I play sometimes for days at a time and constantly have losing streaks. It's not fun wasting your Friday evening and getting 10 losses in a row where the enemy ends the match with 90%+ of their tickets. I had losing streaks like that in the past, but now it seems I get them all the time and I question myself what is even the point of logging into this stupid game.
They should make Mission scenarios for all types of battle, If they are improving the Ai Then a proper PvE without any silly nerfs to rewards would pull in more people across all game modes. And they can have community content with created missions etc. Defend Pearl Harbour, Midway, Channel Run, Protect the Cargo or Carriers etc etc.
I blame the grind for it. The gamemodes are already boring and compression is awful, but all of that would be manageable if you coukd actually grind without many issues. The grind in naval feels AND is insanely slower than air and even ground. I blame the rewards and separation of coastal and blue water for that. Yes, I know the issues we had before the separation, I was there, but separating them into whole separate trees was NOT the solution; instead, they should've made naval trees somewhat like ground, with each class taking up one column and you being able to research one class while playing on another one... The fact that you can't grind battleships with PTs and vice-versa only makes things much harder for players to grind the separate trees, since then they can't skip bad vehicles.
Naval doesnt feel grinding slow. It is very slow, time you spend action you do and reward doesnt match at all 30min for barely 5k rp when in plane you get about 3 time if not 5 time more under 15min
Worst thing is that Battle of the Atlantic event showed them the way. If Naval was just a bunch of similar modes, with set limits for how many vehicles of each type on each team...itd be a killer mode
Naval is interesting to me, and it has great potential. But it needs more mixup. Similar to World of warships. There they have carrier's so each unit has it's purpose. You can play as Destroyer or Heavy Cruiser with Anti-aircraft fire and you can actually do something important. In WT the BB is the king and hardly anything can be done by lower tier ships. They are often nothing more buy a fodder. Naval needs more mixup. So either they add submarines (something that can threaten BB), but gives Destroyers something to do. Or they make sure there is more AI/Player planes to make battles more dynamic.
The games being full of Ai in coastal is kinda wild I had a 20 kill game at 2.0 the other day because the enemy team literally had 1 real player in the match. it was fun but 20 was just way to many kills I don’t think I’ve ever had that many kills before in any naval match
Also a new problem that you should mention, it forces you to repair now so when I get set on fire and have a leak if forces me to have both on making them take ages and it won’t let you stop them
Give naval something appealing: for Air people are attracted by modern planes (everyone keeps asking f/a 18, we have typhoons/Rafael, su lines, eagles) Ground has reached its top but can be expanded in everything except top echelon.. Naval is missing updates focused on it (like last 5 updates where full air).. now something is moving like nelson, amagi (maybe Richelieu next update since Gaijin leaks)... But we all know what People wants: Iowas, Yamatos, Bismarck.. these ships give a reason to grind and play Us tech tree at top suck ass with 40 sec spaded, ijn is overbooked
What’s in crisis right now is the namers, gaijin refuses to give them their correct weight and top speed and they lose all their ammo after it burns out, this shows that gaijin only cares about their top three nations. What I suggest is that gaijin gives more ammo to ifv’s who don’t carry troops like irl
How to revive Naval, a proposal: (copied from the last video) 1. Allow Bluewater Ships to research Coastal at a 2x bonus 2. Return all 'hidden' premiums to the store and have a sale 3. Reduce the point totals required for event vehicles 4. Introduce Sweden (and friends) Coastal with Brazil bluewater added in
Well at least they're trying to get more people into naval, sometimes naval can be a bit boring, because half the time it's actually sailed to point shoot at each other and see who dies first, and yeah that's not really fun, but hopefully this year naval will getting the Love It desperately needs
I think one issue with naval is its tech tree structure. Increasing BR purely on firepower isn't a realistic or sensible approach. A 1950s destroyer shouldn't be 3 BRs lower than a WW1 dreadnought. In my opinion, naval tech trees should be focused around era instead with separate trees for different classes branching off earlier. Similar to world of warships. This would allow better grinding options than just 2 branches that won't give you a battleship until the very end. And it will help with match diversity. No more only one type of ship dominating a match. Naval needs a healthy mix of ship classes to complement one another
I was just about to begin a couple of lines in BlueWater but now I will wait to see how this is implemented. If the SL rewards boosts are maintained and increased credit is provided AI kills, then this may be what is needed to draw Naval out of the dumps. I suggest BR decompression: Top Battleships in today's mix should graduated up to at least 7.7 in anticipation of ultimately Yamato, Musashi, Bismarck, Tirpitz, Vanguard, Iowa, Missouri, etc. can take it up to 8.0 - The Final Naval Top Tier. Unless there is indeed an influx of players into the modes, then I expect Naval to go the way of Helos: Players V Bots. (PS: Even so, new Helos are entering the game with every update.)
What I dont understand is why they not simply add option to go into q with different lineups. For me I sometimes have multiple nations I paly at different BRs and I dont mind to play a certain one. If more people like this qould go into q then the game could analyze where players are needed more. They also could simply increase the transparency of the matchmaking system. Like they could say after 5minutes you get a q guranteed. But rn people dont know will there be a game or not, leave and enter q again. If one knows its a guranteed maximum wait time people would be more chilled and stay longer. They also could make suggestions like player gets notification: A battle at BR xy just started, you wanna join? Idk there are just so many options to improve matchmaking
The problem in Naval, least on the AB side, isn't Decompression, as someone that likes it - it's the scatter shot ship and type placement, with a lot of things sharing BR's they should straight up not be in, added on then to issues with Aircraft, the BR's there, and how AA works - especially for Gajin bots that can spawn in an SKR and snipe your plane before you know it's there. I have a Douglas - it should not be at 4.0 lol sniping planes with SAM's that never saw them, other than the occasional lucky dodge. There's a bunch of 1920's and 30's ships in pre-war configuration who's AA is a joke against the BR of plane they see. You basically run in to a scenario that the lower BR's have more action oriented ships, where as higher BR the maps actually become too big for how slow the ships are, and while yes BB's have massive range it's not great gameplay wise to have them crawling to a cap point at the speed of drying paint. The cruisers they've pushed in to mid tiers are a hit or miss balance of it, but any time I play naval - it's basically the high end of the BR for DD's I see played in any numbers because the guns fire fast, the ships are decently fast, etc. This 'oh, the ships type basically determines it's BR' thing - is not working. This mish mash of 'oh, both of these are are the same BR - but one is outdated as hell from the 20's and the others is a mid-1940's monster with stuff learned in the war' - is not working. Starting BB's out with HE shells is one of the dumbest things they've done. If 7.0 is post war jets - than post war modifications and ships, or ones that would have operated around the same time, need to be there - regardless of DD, CA/L, or BB - they need to bring the spawn points in so it's not a slog to get to a capture point, or, in AB where they screw with how things work anyway - make the damn ships faster. When naval is fun - usually in the Rank 3 range of both Coastal and Bluewater - it's fun. But when you get to some of it's many, many problems - it really is a slog and infuriating.
@10:33 Stona was wrong, as he later admits in that same thread. Kill rewards for SL and RP against AI still have the same x0.3 modifier as other modes that they've always had. He was thinking about damage rewards, which are the same against both AI and human players.
The other big problem with coastal is that it doesn't have any famous or sought after vehicles. People want the big cruisers and battleships. They aint gonna grind a 3.7 pt boat that no one has ever heard of for 380k rp 😒😒😒
My issue with naval is definitely ques in part. 5 min wait on a good day, with naval EC being easy 15-20 min. Another factor is line ups, I like playing CAs and had fun in WoWs in CAs and BBs and you could counter whatever you match against. But in warthunder my Des Moines / Newport News has to fight battleships with flatter firing guns regularly, and you can't really lower it in BR because it has 8 inch guns at fire every 6 seconds it would destroy lower tier. Idk what the fix is and I don't think snail does either since they stop selling the Des Moines. And then I test drove one of the Russian cruisers and had a similar experience where I kept going up against battleships I could barely scratch.
The problem with Naval is also the screwed up aiming system. It's so RNG either by some bugs or by design. Even Napalm was talking about it (so it's not just Arcade, but RB as well). Very often the shells do not work and one team gets run over by another. Constant uptiers and losing streaks. This is a clear income nerf.
What I hate about naval is the grind. Tier I, II and III are somewhat fine. But Gaijin has this thing where tech tree with fewer vehicles takes the same time to grind as tech tree with more vehicles. That's why Helis take too much time to grind and spade... Given that more naval vehicles vehicles will be added in the future - especially more higher BR ones - it is waste of time grind today knowing that later down the road they will reduce the RP requirements for those vehicles that currently are "top tier".
Sometimes players have names similar to bots. You ignore them and then get a torpedo spread to your side. Often you see on the minimap that your teammate is going to cap, so you relax, but few minutes later you see that blue mark still sits near the cap and does nothing, so you lose. You then figure it was not a player, but a bot derping around. Very annoying and misleading. I want to know what units on my team are bots on that minimap.
Here's a solution for naval: Remove the BR rating completely for naval which would allow players no matter what ship they are in to play together or against each other. If they complain, use the simply just say skill issue and they should just get good
Now this will show that Gaijin has a setup for a winning or losing side for a team if a person gets into a naval game all by themselves against a full team of bots and they are the only live player on the team. So what if that single player leaves the game after one death will it count the match as a win? This happens in Helicopter PvE if the team is ahead on the tickets and the live player team all leaves it ends up giving them(live player) the win for the match so will this type of thing happen for the naval matches with a single live player in it?
My ideas - Coastal needs to be WAY quicker to grind out (the max a shitty pt boat should cost is 20k rp) - after it is ground out it should provide a fixed (maybe 15%) boost to research bluewater - there should be a checkmark in coastal to research bluewater For EC - add light tactical elements such as the ability to command multiple units. I.e the ability to command a squadron of aircraft while sailing a battleship. So that players arent just sitting doing nothing. If any of you played the battlestations games you know
coastal rank 4 top end and rank 5 really need to be trimmed 30% of their r.p, rank 5 top end even 50% both grind and mods. they also need to increase r.p rewards and sl.mulitplier on a lot pf boats.
Changes to Naval are so dumb. I already had plenty of matches where there were just 4 people on a team to start, yet I'm always bottom BR where enemies have 3 players that are 3+ players that are 0.7-1.0 higher. So stupid. Now you cannot push forward and attack something because at any moment you can have enemy ships spawning in the middle of the ocean out of nowhere. What's even worse is when you shoot at a bot, do heavy damage and it just disappears, so enemy player can spawn at 100% health. Also, the stats show how many PLAYERS you have killed, not bots.
Recently you commented on console players getting free stuff, nothing is free on this game, and to receive the Year of the Snake bundle will cost you ~24.00 USD paid to Microsoft for the Ultimate Pass, and you get a bunch of other perks also. However that’s not the problem, I only received one of the two vehicles, that being the Cobra King tank, but not the King Cobra aircraft, and for six days Gaijin has played games and refused to credit the King Cobra aircraft to my account. So again nothing on War Thunder is free, and remember Gaijin hates console players, and console players will always receive the worst customer service.
I was a closed beta tester for World Of Warships, have many of the top tier ships. I left that game about two years ago and fully switched over to warthunder. ( already preferred warthunder for ground and air and made that switch a long time ago) I still hop on WOWS every now and then. I expected it be dead because lower tiers have many bots now but high tier is still alive. They have many cross over and events and a battle pass and honestly it’s just better than Gaijin. The Naval team over at world of warships split from world of tanks team in early development so a lot of them were early developers of world of tanks team. I still have to admit Naval is more fun over there than warthunder. I left when they added subs which was an early promise they made they would never add to the game. Also they never still to this day can get carriers to balance properly. So it’s not perfect but Gaijin should ask a few of us what to change or implement to make the mode overall just more enjoyable and increase player count. For example I don’t naval in warthunder anymore because my USS Texas is a tier 5 in wows but I’m facing the Scharnhorst which over there is a tier 7. 😂 I just can’t enjoy the naval grind for an American top 7.0 which still can barely tickle a scharn. They are talking about adding Colorado but honestly it’s. It going to be the right year of her to be in balance with the scharn. I’ll play again when the US gets the USS North Carolina. The final thing I’ll add for now is in naval if you are not a BB you just expect pain, and if you are in a 6.7 one you expect just a little less pain but still hurtful. In wows I can decimate and terrify top tier Battleships and straight up bully them in a Destroyer. In warthunder you hide and hope they don’t notice you.
Submarines aircraft carriers, naval simulator, proper gun calculations, like dreyer fire control table, etc squadron planes of carriers, there lots to improve
Big ships were a mistake. They should have focussed on the "coastal" smaller vessel part as it was in the beginning. Big ship vs torpedo boats is ridiculous, especially on more open maps. its basically a battle between 100s of men vs ~10 men.
Naval have a real lack of ships ! We don't get many WWI's ships, those ships matther really cause they can reduced the gaps between destroyer, cruiser and battleship, naval is fun unless you get to late cruiser
Naval would be more fun in a world war mode. The ability to strike inland targets etc too. But yeah, it's just boring right now. Tanks are fun because you aim for a specific spot, but in naval you just aim where you think it will be and hope for the best. Roll the dice.
i think 0.7 should be the maximum Uptier you should get.... Recently I get uptiered literally 90% of my games (Calculated)... This SUCKS. Also it doesnt matter what Rank I play... 5.3 goes 6.3, I play 6.3 get 7.3, or 10.7 getting 11.7. It doesnt matter and it is horrible
ya over 6k GE what a discount for a Su-7 that has no AAM and n countermeasures facing constant up-tiers in AirRB So i would hate to see the FULL price of the Su-7BMK Works great in SIM if that's what your thing is but if I want to play SIM i wouldn't play WT i switch over to DCS
Maybe increase RP rewards.....everybody is talking about the SL gain in naval but never about the RP rewards....and yes RP reduction. I will not play a stupid boot with 15k RP per Mod at 4.3. Instead i play a destroyer with 1100 RP per Mod.
People are not playing because of the BRs, so you are wrong. No one want to play 6.0, 6.3 or 6.7 because they always face 7.0... and a 7.0 ship really outclasses everything else. That's why no one is playing.
The problem is not the decompression, its that bad game mechanics and poor map design and the disaster wit the pt boats in ship battles. I really would love to play naval, but not like the game is designed. I played it for a long time, but stoped like may others due to the bad game design. New vehicles only work short time, as you mentioned as suggestion. They did that for years. Decompression is always good and not to blame. Also, regarding battle tasks, the issue with those bots is, they don't count for most of the tasks.
Yeah, I love spawning in a cruiser far away from any caps and a dinky 1.0 BR boat caps the zone and I can do nothing about it. The game is over before I can get any kills sometimes. No, I don't want to start each match in a boat to cap. If I survive, then I have to either j-out or stay in the battle and keep dodging incoming shells with nothing to show for it. Yeah, I get the RP for the time in the match, but this gets boring really fast.
@@lucasmoreno2154 well i understood he said it, but unless gajin actually changed it, it won't count for most of the tasks. I know it from past battles, but i haven't touched naval in about 9 months.
@@lucasmoreno2154 Also, I just tested it, at least the task: Coast Guard worked while killing bot players. So they really changed it. But yeah, the game mode is still bad though.
What decompression? Naval has been 7.0 for ages... No this is because people bitched about botting and Gaijin replaced them with their trash bots that pay out nothing for SL and RP. At least they count for tasks now finally and hopefully they have unnerfed the rewards. The AI is either garbage or god tier at sniping and dodging.
Make bigger naval games. 40 players to side. Organize it like enduring confrontation. Fix Battle rating metas. Quit placing day 1 noobs with 4000 hrs played experienced players.
Putting all the ships at 7.0 for years is a joke its logical that the mode will die ... why not putting WW2 ships and modern whips with cruise missiles at 7.0 too ? seriously its a joke that last for too long....
8:24 - *IT'S ABOUT $#!^ING TIME!* Seriously, not being able to complete Naval tasks because there aren't enough human players in a match is a great way to drive off even MORE potential human players, not to mention the morons like me who are still trying to keep Naval alive 💩🙃
Omfg, what CONFIRMED DECLINE? The people who play naval like it. End of ? Oh No, we can farm eachothers bots for easy grinding? God thats just so bad isnt it
Lets not agree that its decompression in naval 😂 causing the issue. Naval is stale like all the other games in war thunder and thats more of an issue than decompression
its frustrating cus you know they dont even try to fix the problems in it even though a lot of people have been pointing out all the shit for years... the maps, spawns, the tech trees, br decompression etc fuck all that throw in bots and thats it usual gaijin lazy ass approach to everything as if getting too much copy paste isnt enough sign that theyre mfking lazy these days wows is another greed demon but despite the arcadey nature you wont be frustrated by the smallest shit like wt naval
I don't understand how people don't have millions of SL. I've never run premium and I have to gamble j7st to keep the SL below 10 million. It's SO much easier to get SL now it's crazy.
I gave been playing wows since beta I ground up one tree in wt navel.. it just does not look good to me it’s to grainy dull and idk.. if loook at wows it’s sharper cleaner.. plus it just plays boring.. wows is a much better ship game.. I also prefer wt over wot in ground.. so there you go
Naval is boring. They need to take inspiration from WoW. Make different ships with different visibility distances and show the players visibility as a ring on the map. Players can play strategically then. Also, show ship classes on the mini map. FFS you can't tell what's going on the way things are. Make maps much bigger and spawn distances further. If they included the above then it wouldn't matter if the map was just plain open ocean. The ability to move stealthily outside of visible range gives breathing room to bloody enjoy the game. At the moment Naval is totally crap.
Worrying Signs for naval with some changes over the last few days. Hopefully it can be resurrected
mabe if the naval experience wouldnt suck some people would play it.
right now the maps are terrible.
It's pain.....
for BR, decompression is not the only way, you can do +0.7 -0.7 or less like +0.3 -0.3
Just when i started playing it again
I would love ai controlled plane swarms in Naval
maybe submarines can save it, i would not recommend to add any more obsolete hulls from ww1 almost no one is interested in them, start with actual ww2 ones or cold war vessels.
The problem with Naval is, it's boring. Everybody spawns looking at each other which quickly evolves into a fuck fest. At higher BRs, if you're not in a battleship, you are useless.
I personally only do it for SL and to use in custom matches.
@@lizardo667 Same
I generally agree with this statement, but it is a lot of fun to take a PT-810 and torp all those big beautiful battleships.
@lizardo667 Yeah, the rewards are good, but the gameplay is horrendous. Either way, that isn't sustainable for Navals long-term future.
yes
I mean, if you create a mode and forget about it. Don't improve it and leave it as tasteless and unbalanced mess, you will have a crisis.
Which really sucks cuz me and the rest of 6 people that play naval see that it really has potential.
Adding another fucking battleship =/= fixing naval
Also with this update decompression actually would help out Naval, at least to some degree.
Two main reasons noone plays NRB are:
- Long queue (worked on with this update)
- Unbalanced matches (BBs BCs vs CL and DDs) which makes the mode almost unplayable if you are not interested in the biggest ships.
I don't really care if I'm fighting AI or Players, maybe thats why I don't see the void of players in certain BRs as a problem, at least now when it is possible to play even with out them.
Before that, yea you wouldnt be able to play the mode half of the time.
Well said.
I really wish I liked NRB, but it is so bland and boring. Decompression isn't NRB's problem. NRB is NRB's problem.
@@WujoNeronI think with air and ground bots would annoy me, but the style of gameplay naval has lends well to bots and it doesn't detract from the modes at all imo.
@@KTheStruggler frfr. Naval actually benefits from small matches and bots
@4:48 Think of Naval, not as the least popular PvP mode, but as the most popular PvE mode in War Thunder.
Honestly, restructured as a PvE mode purely, fleet on fleet or fleet on shore defenses would be infinitely better than how it is.
IMO the only reason World of Warships works and is bearable is the HP mechanic (and a much better grind, but that is a WT wide issue not just isolated to Naval).
naval dead server hours are best hours to grind
Naval just feels like a mode that just amplified the Ground RB issues. Most maps have no cover and the moment you spawn, everyone is shooting eachother
Gaijin really needs to restructure their mapmaking and gamemode teams. Or actually make them if they somehow haven't already
Also, instead of going through the trouble of decompressing BRs, why not just make the max BR difference in battle 0.7 instead of 1.0?
It's too bad we don't have a say in things........👍
Yep, there’s no WAY a 4.3 destroyer should EVER be in an encounter map with Atlanta’s .
That is still decompression tho
@@lucasmoreno2154 yea but without the work of manually changing every BR rating, which seems to be Gaijins main reason for holding back on it
I love slowness of naval, for me biggest problem is having to grind a rank 2 costal vehicle for 30 matches
coastal is a slog, just get a boat or destroyer from bp, i have grinded france till rank 3, italy rank 2 2 full, i have the vs-8 for germany and the whole rank 4 on ussr, unless you like coastal there is no obligation to torture oneself with coastal slogging, i was pretty fond of coastal thats why i slogged through the ussr tree.
Their screw up was removing all these islands from maps, so now ships have no cover and now more maps are just death circle type.
Not that almost every naval battle wasn’t in the open ocean, but in this game, it just doesn’t work
Naval probably not played because its AWFUL 90% Of games you have.
If your favorite part is fighting mindless bots then it's long over.
Yeah farming bots for SL XD
@@filonin2 I just don't have the mental bandwidth for PvP these days. Naval is chill.
@@filonin2 The good thing about naval is that if you are on the right vehicle at the right time, you are playing a point n click game. Very chill and the bots help making it even chiller
@@filonin2 sounds like a personal issue.
I have to disagree on decompression being to blame for the current naval problems, I think it has more to do with the slow nature of naval gameplay, especially in the higher tiers with battleships, as the lower tiers with destroyers and coastal vessels seem to avoid this problem.
Wrong. Too small maps. Wrong spawn placements. Time restrictions need at an hr at least
speaking to new players who tried Naval, they hated the aiming system tht WT did and preferred that of WOWS.
I think there should be some more in depth analysis of the advantages of Wee Gees products without the criticism of "grr not realistic WT is sooo realistic it's better, but when I play I complain"
the aiming system should be the same between arcade and realistic
I hope that they adjust the daily, special, and battle pass tasks to account for the majority of your kills being bots.
I remember struggling on one of the earlier seasons tasks, because the bot kills wouldn't count towards the challenge.
Supposedly, that is part of the deal. Bots (Naval only as I understand) are no longer excluded from BP dailies (and other challenges as well).
Bigger ships already have nearly 51 seconds of reload time, how hard can it be, that when an enemy plane is approaching you get a voice like warning from the crew, and also a direction indicator from where that plane is approaching, while you still have 45 seconds of reload on your main batterys? so you can switch to your AA and shoot the plane? is that really to much for modern gaming audience?
yippeee naval getting noticed!!!
naval has SOOOO many issues where to even begin?
the spawns are horrible, spawn to spawn line of sight and you spawn in basicly touching your teammates.
It's both
They feed into each other...BR compression leads to nobody wanting to play naval because their 4.7 light destroyer is getting ammo racked by a heavy cruiser 9km away.
Personally I would love to see a bracket system like SRB or SIM they have got to step away from the 1.0 up and 1.0 down
I have subscribed for awhile but I don't think you have discussed pros and cons to a bracket system
Honestly they should increase the number of slots to 12 and merge naval into ground rb in some way
They should make Mission scenarios for all types of battle, If they are improving the Ai Then a proper PvE without any silly nerfs to rewards would pull in more people across all game modes.
Also a new problem that you should mention, it forces you to repair now so when I get set on fire and have a leak if forces me to have both on making them take ages and it won’t let you stop them
Give naval something appealing: for Air people are attracted by modern planes (everyone keeps asking f/a 18, we have typhoons/Rafael, su lines, eagles)
Ground has reached its top but can be expanded in everything except top echelon..
Naval is missing updates focused on it (like last 5 updates where full air).. now something is moving like nelson, amagi (maybe Richelieu next update since Gaijin leaks)... But we all know what People wants: Iowas, Yamatos, Bismarck.. these ships give a reason to grind and play
Us tech tree at top suck ass with 40 sec spaded, ijn is overbooked
What’s in crisis right now is the namers, gaijin refuses to give them their correct weight and top speed and they lose all their ammo after it burns out, this shows that gaijin only cares about their top three nations. What I suggest is that gaijin gives more ammo to ifv’s who don’t carry troops like irl
What is a "namer"?
@ Israeli “light” tank that weighs 65 tons while not having the entire turret of the Merkava
Join the club buddy. PUMA's been like that for years
@ true but the puma is much better because it has mobility the namer is the worst ifv
As a German/Israel main I agree. The Namers & Merkavas all need re-spec. The LIC was so nerfed badly.
How to revive Naval, a proposal: (copied from the last video)
1. Allow Bluewater Ships to research Coastal at a 2x bonus
2. Return all 'hidden' premiums to the store and have a sale
3. Reduce the point totals required for event vehicles
Naval needs a healthy mix of ship classes to complement one another
Mi problem with naval is … TO MUCH GRIND i dont have time to much grind planes tanks (copy and paste) 😢
Naval dmg model needs improvement, when you shoot HE, you should be able to kill a bigger ship.
I waited an hour and 45 minutes for a match on a South American server with 1 other player 18 hours ago. It's better now, but crazy this morning.
I like the idea of shorter queue times, but how hard now will it be to complete tasks requiring player kills in Naval realistic?
Add the bigger battleships now??? Uss Iowa, Yamato, Bismarck, and the British battleships like the King George the fifth class
And you could have the Tirpitz as a Premium if they wanted to make more money. Also the French Alsace
Hi would you be kind to explain if the crew tells you AIR 310, 500 METERS? where is it?
I like the naval changes. I will likely play it a bit more. One change I would like to see is adding more slots in arcade naval.
He said “go back to the airfield to reset” 😂
Take off, bomb, J
Repeat
My ideas
- Coastal needs to be WAY quicker to grind out (the max a shitty pt boat should cost is 20k rp)
- after it is ground out it should provide a fixed (maybe 15%) boost to research bluewater
- there should be a checkmark in coastal to research bluewater
For EC
- add light tactical elements such as the ability to command multiple units.
Gaijin needs to put subs in if they want to save naval
With all of these changes to naval, what is the likelihood of us getting Naval Assault Arcade?
they should bring naval premiums back for sale like the Prinz Eugen or Karl Galster, some ppl will get into it cause of the 1800% silver booster
Honestly i want to grind naval but it pisses me off more than ground battles (including cas), especially if im against an US team.
I love naval. Interestingly I think there’s too much br compression! The prob is the maps and the match maker
I enjoy naval and I’ve been looking forward to it moving into the modern era, if they can get it right it will give it a new life
I stopped playing Naval above 4.7 because of the compression.
If I play naval at all I’m playing it like tanks and using islands as cover and shooting anything that gets near the point
Problem with naval is CAs is useless in it so it’s no fun when ur trying to do fun things
Submarines aircraft carriers, naval simulator, proper gun calculations, like dreyer fire control table, etc squadron planes of carriers, there lots to improve
As one of the 8 people who play naval, I’m happy it’s getting some attention
They should shut down Naval RB and just have arcade and RB is Naval EC (as in no Naval EC AB in rotation)
The spawns are a real problem.
I am navy player ❤
i refuse to play naval until they add submarines to the game.
106k ground kills with I think 2 naval battle kills
these new changes are really good from my point of view.
i think 0.7 should be the maximum Uptier you should get....
I have to test if those bots will count on 10kill wager if does then it can work on other wagers too free $
sl farmers using cheater naval bots be salivating rn
Maybe increase RP rewards.....everybody is talking about the SL gain in naval but never about the RP rewards....and yes RP reduction. I will not play a stupid boot with 15k RP per Mod at 4.3. Instead i play a destroyer with 1100 RP per Mod.
I haven't played this game in at least 4 years. The mm was so bad, I couldn't take it anymore. Are things any better?
Like TEC said, bots on the player count will be treated as players, giving the same rewards and participating on tasks
"Naval gazing."
Problem is not with naval, problem with gaijin company , game is going down (
Thanks TEC.
Putting all the ships at 7.0 for years is a joke its logical that the mode will die ... why not putting WW2 ships and modern whips with cruise missiles at 7.0 too ? seriously its a joke that last for too long....
Those bots got hands 😂 i got one shotted by a bot 😅
Only the true marksman, & sniper people who will love naval otherwise...ughh
8:24 - *IT'S ABOUT $#!^ING TIME!*
Seriously, not being able to complete Naval tasks because there aren't enough human players in a match is a great way to drive off even MORE potential human players, not to mention the morons like me who are still trying to keep Naval alive 💩🙃
Omfg, what CONFIRMED DECLINE? The people who play naval like it. End of ?
Oh No, we can farm eachothers bots for easy grinding? God thats just so bad isnt it
Lets not agree that its decompression in naval 😂 causing the issue. Naval is stale like all the other games in war thunder and thats more of an issue than decompression
its frustrating cus you know they dont even try to fix the problems in it even though a lot of people have been pointing out all the shit for years...
the maps, spawns, the tech trees, br decompression etc fuck all that
throw in bots and thats it
usual gaijin lazy ass approach to everything as if getting too much copy paste isnt enough sign that theyre mfking lazy these days
wows is another greed demon but despite the arcadey nature you wont be frustrated by the smallest shit like wt naval
I like navel I can grind out sometimes with a booster 200,000 silver lions and if other players just aim at the bots and not each other it's a win-win
Ngl i still enjoy navel even tho its against bots
Oh no.... i need SL badly and this isn't a good sign
I don't understand how people don't have millions of SL. I've never run premium and I have to gamble j7st to keep the SL below 10 million. It's SO much easier to get SL now it's crazy.
@@filonin2 If you play all the nations and all the game modes you just shovel silver lions into the furnace.
Yeah I have hardly any SL because I play 4 tec trees with planes and tanks and ships it’s an SL money pit
Naval is just far too boring. I understand a more grounded setting but it doesn’t work in wt. I hate to say it but it needs to be more like WoW.
