Interesting approach! Indeed a good preparation solves tons of issues in any sphere of life! I also noticed that I can't master clear exhaling process (with or without grunting) during hitting for years (I play for 12 years, 4.0) because all my thoughts are on tracking the ball, on my footwork, on where to direct the ball, on how hard to hit etc... So on fast balls exhaling, especially with grunting, my brain takes as an unwanted extra work to do and I think I just hod it. But when the balls from the opponent are slow I have enough time for everything and I like to exhale or even grunt in this case.
Do you hold your breath when you play?

Pure gold content keep it up. Nice looking racquet can you tell me wich model it is?
A very old babolat pure drive. Sadly they don't make that version any more, so I've finally been forced to switch.
Interesting thoughts but exhaling through contact is what 95% of the world’s best practice and that shouldn’t be misinterpreted
