Ryan Maifield at NEO '12 - Onboard footage from RePlayXD camera

- LiveRC and Ryan Maifield teamed up to get some unique footage at this year's NEO race in England! This footage was captured by mounting a RePlay XD camera to Ryan's Team Associated RC8.2 buggy during the "Dash for Cash" race. The result: footage from a pro driver's car in an actual race from a perspective never before seen! The RePlayXD is small enough to be mounted externally to an R/C car without being as invasive and clunky as other cameras. We simply taped the camera mount to the passenger side window!
While any camera is likely to be a bulky addition to a race car that is carefully weighted down to fraction of an ounce, the RePlay XD's weight and bulk was minimal enough for Ryan to still contend during the race!
man... coolest thing I've seen in a while... sounds so badass!
this point of the view is awesome, they should get this live cameras on pro races like this, also the car sounds incredible :D
That was Absolutely sick and Completely off the Hook.😀
Can tell this is genuine Maifield footage because he rear-ended the car in front.
thechosendude I
hahahaha thats awesome
THE CARNAGE!!!!!
that was a bad ass you turn at the start when he got caught up in the slums! thats what i call the first 3 turns of a race! If you can make it out of the slums clean makes a big dif
Wow, awesome view.
That was some very NICE racing footage.
best onboard video yet!!!!!!
i love watching suspensions at work
dude this video is so beast! love it
love team associated!!!
No way you could put a GoPro on these race cars at this level. I'm surprised how well the camera preformed while still not hindering his driving noticeably. This is the Replay camera made by Team Associated by the way guys. Not the GoPro. I ran into them at Tower the other day.
How sick is that?!?!
The race seems so much more intense like this...
sweet vid!
indeed, i am seriously considering of getting one to take drifting vids with my touring RC from our local club bashes.
The replay is not made by team associated. It is made by a company called Stable Imaging Solutions. Nonetheless, its a very cool camera set up. I have one pointing backwards in my stock car to see the crazyness going on behind me with a gopro HD@ pointing forward..
That is just cool!
That was So SICK !!!!
Love the first person view
very very cool
nice car
Wow that's cool
sweet vid, was that 1080 at 30fps or 720 at 60fps. and it sounded like they used the wind shield stickers. mine comes in a week. cant wait!!!
Many times I say to myself, "He crashed", but no, he saved it and kept driving.
Epic
this is cool
i learned how to land my rc because of this vid
nice vid! definitedly sets bar for other cameras on market.
Btw, which one you used? 1080p or smaller?
WOW
that tire ballooning is power! and they wont balloon as much with the weight of he buggy setting on them. that ballooning is far from a problem!
You're just confusing people now with semantics. Stable Imaging Solutions "MAY" be the OEM for this camera but any RC'er looking for it would find it easier under Team Associated brand name as that's how it is being sold in the RC community, as the Team Associated Replay XD and if you watch the video it is on a Team Associated RC8.2 driven by Team Associated factory driver Ryan Maifeild. No need to confuse RC'ers who may want this camera. No bash, just keeping it straight for RC racers.
Cool save at 1:34.
I have a GoPro, May have to buy one of these JUST for my RC? Hopefully the GoPro does the job it's a lot bigger though.
my hero3 might be a bit too big to mount
So you were the one taking that vid, how long does the battery last on that cam?
Nah these buggies are doing more like 55-60 km/h The 1/8 scale on road pan cars are doing around the 100km/h mark
would not want to be strapped into one of those lol
looks like we are playing revolt the game xD
Nice example what rc-s must endure in a race.
What tires were those? When I saw the red inserts I thought aka's but I could be wrong.
Cameron Stella Aka doesn't make tires like that, most likely black jackets but could be hybrids. he could be running their inserts, some pro drivers try to sneak a better company's products over their sponsors to get an edge
what the speed of this cars???
up 100 km/h?
this is in Birmingham
ryan lutz crash at 3:50 lol
dohh. I didn't type what I was thinking. I meant brake if it's too high
0:28 LOU-DOG, START THE CAR
What RePlayXD camera is this?
What up LOU DOG!! I see you pitting for your boy
how do they control the car in the air?
Aka foams?
i think nitro is cool, but electric is cool too!
:D
the only control they have is if the front is too high they can give it gas to point it down.
Very Violent .....
インドアでGPできるなんてすごい!
Team associated all the way
Greqt vid
WRONG. to point the nose down, you apply the brake. To point the nose up you accelerate
WRONG if you give it gas in the air it pulls the nose up but if you tap the brakes it points the nose down.
who told you that rubbish - LOL
lol funny if someone read it then tried it xD
just google it... lol im getting sick of answering this question for people.
you can find some good instructional videos for it on youtube too
watching this gives me a headache...
I could not watch past 1:38. Utterly sickening. You can’t do FPV with 1/8.
