Probably not a hot take but here we go: Starscream being killed by Sam and the soldiers was so dumb. Starscream deserved a death at the hands of an Autobot, not the "insect" humans.
The reason I prefer G1 designs is mainly because I think they're just good character designs. They're easily recognizable, colorful, unique, and get far too much hate as far as I've seen. I'm not saying I want all of the characters to be blocky and their alt modes to be vehicles from the 80s, I just want each character's most notable features to remain faithful/consistent to the source material. One of my biggest gripes with the Bay movies is that I literally can't tell who's who for a lot of the characters included in those films. It's generally good for the franchise as a whole to establish iconic appearances beyond just Optimus and Bumblebee. Despite being a part of Gen Z, I grew up watching the original cartoon on DVD, and love it to death
Opinion: the fact that the spotlight has been taken off of G1 even a little bit is such an amazing thing. The fact that we’re getting armada figures, beastwars 2 figures and animated figures is insane compared to even 5 years ago. It’s wild seeing a full mainstream wave of figures not have a single g1 character. Acting like an entire wave is trash just cause it’s not G1 is really annoying and stifles creativity and future wild possibilities.
Imo, I think that if rotb wheeljack was named beachcomber, people wouldn't dislike the design that much. I think Pablo fits better as a Beachcomber than a Wheeljack.
My Transformers hot take is that the twins from RoTF weren't any more racist than Dino being italian. All of the side characters are "stereotypes," but people think they're somehow worse. As I was watching RoTF I didn't even think they were meant to be "black" I thought they were meant to be wannabe thugs, which if you actually look into it, was the actual intention. The issue is that the characters were annoying and had too much screentime compared to better fan favorite characters that got like 2 seconds.
My hot fake is related with in my opinion one of the best Optimus prime toys of all time which is the one and only MA 01 Optimus prime by hasbro in my opinion this toy is insanely good
I couldn't agree more with the ironhide statement. Same thing applies to Jazz. People making a huge fuss that Bay killed of a character, in a franchise about constant war lasting forever
The only problem I have with jazz's death is that he hasnt appeared in media since 2015, and with ironhide, if he didnt dir on screen he wouldve died off screen.
Always kills me how possessive fans are of their respective franchise. I grew up with G1 and I prefer those characters over some of the other iterations. Was never a fan of Animated, but I think some of those had some good designs. The Bay movies brought Transformers to the masses and, arguably, made them relevant again. I thought the first movie was so cool, seeing my childhood 'come to life' on the big screen the way it did. I think people need to just focus more on what they DO enjoy and worry less about what others enjoy. I agree, no need for the hate people have. If you like a figure/style, great! Go on and enjoy it because at the end of the day, it doesn't impact my life in any way. As for the Hasbro vs 3rd Party... they offer different things. 3P companies are often able to get more animation accurate with their characters, often at the expense of overcomplicating the transformation. They aren't for everyone. Hasbro figures may be less animation accurate (if that is important to you), but make the transformation process more enjoyable in most cases. It all comes down to preference.
@@Windcharger84 is that the RID 2000 series? Honestly, not my cup of tea, but I thought some of the figures had cool toys. Also, I will admit that I liked how the toys looked like the animation. No real mass shifting or anything like that. If they had kibble in the animation, they had it in the toy.
@@tommcneil7669 yeah they translated the toys to the cartoon fairly well, it's interesting how everyone has forgotten about it when it was a huge success for only being a shelf filler
@@Windcharger84 I watched a couple of episodes and believe I have the Sideburn toy, but that was about it. I definitely don’t hate on anyone that enjoys it or collected/collects the figures.
It’s videos like these that make you realise how wonderfully diverse the fandom is but the problem with it is that as you said people defend the opinions like their first born child. Anyway my hot take: While I love G1 I’m getting tired of every new adaptation being just G1 based now and I want to see some more creativity.
I agree but the characters at least have to keep a few of their personality traits. Otherwise it's just a completely different character with a name randomly slapped onto them for the sake of having a recognized name.
Hot Take: The bayverse devastator is one of the best designs to come from the movies. It really shows that its the decepticons ultimate weapon while also not just being a larger robot
I wish in the Bayverse movies, they focused more on the Autobots and Decepticons and less on the human characters. P.S. Why does Devastator have testicles? Why does Wheelie hump Mikaela's leg? Why does Alice need to exist? Why does Bumblebee take a piss on Seymour Simmons? Why does Lennox shoot Blackout in the crotch? Why does Laserbeak have a tea party with a little girl? Was that bathroom stall scene between Sam and Wang really necessary? Why would they make a joke about under age sexual relationships and Romeo and Juliet laws? I could go on and on.
@@papermelon i swear its so wild. If you wanna buy like a voyager or leader class figure here, the price would be equivalent to like a month’s worth of food
Here's one for you, no strings attached. The Vehicon transformations in AOE made sense. Of course the minute humans manage to crack the genetic code to the Transformer Robotic DNA, the first thing they'll do is try to streamline the transformation sequence. It's still dumb of course, but it's obvious we'd try to improve the efficiency of it.
Yeah, I agree they made sense if you want it to. I just personally think it’s an outrageously stupid idea to implement in a transformers movie where people come to watch transformers…transform 😂
@@papermelon On that same note, Transformium is a stupid Goddamn name. They could have gone with literally anything else and it would be better than that. Sentio Metallico from the comics, Transmetal from Beast Wars. Here's one I just made up, Cybertanium. God, you know what the worst part is? Transformium was the point where I turned against the movie. The name was the last straw for me.
My favourite character in Transformers Bayverse is Ironhide and even then, I completely agree with the sentiment that Ironhide's death was necessary in Transformers DOTM to showcase the sudden shock and betrayal of Sentinel Prime and him being able to take out one of Optimus's most powerful autobot and establish him as a memorable transformers villain. Also, DOTM is my favourite bayformers movie too.
Dotm is my favourite bayformers film but one thing I hate about it is that after Ironhide dies he's instantly forgotten about. Like at least mention the guy, thought he was your friend
I consider Sentinel Prime begging for mercy claiming he wanted the survival of his race and Optimus telling him rather he betrayed himself and what he stood for as Optimus thinking about Ironhide and avenging one of his most trusted comrade's death.
@@GhostRoasterDrankAllTheMilk yea that's one way to look at it but no direct dialogue mourning one of the originals not even from bumblebee and rachet. The reason ratchets death was so tragic is that we got to see Optimus raw reaction to his friend getting slaughtered, even bee driving away in anger. Honestly they should have mentioned him but that's how most deaths are in bayformers.
My hot take: Bayverse is a lot more faithful to G1 than people give them credit for. They're both goofy af, have Saturday morning cartoon ass plots, cheesy dialog, and are fun as hell.
There is something i want to tell when it comes to what Transformers figures sells the most. Here in Norway i travel alot to many different toy stores and most of them does not have the biggest Transformers section, but when i look at what they have it's mostly legacy, that earthspark line and some main line ROTB stuff. I just look for studio series and almost none of the shops have that line, and when they do it's mostly out of stock which is annoying and the rest just doesn't sell very well. Studio series from the movies is what's popular here, I’ve seen alot of G1 studio series figures just sitting there while all the movie stuff gets sold out really fast.
As much as Hasbro keep putting their prices up, I think their overall QC is slowly improving. It's definitely improved 100% when you compare Combiner Wars Powerglide (bit's just KEEP falling off of mine!) to something like the new Legacy Beachcomber figure. A VAST improvement.
Absolutely. People focus on the QC exceptions and assume they’re getting worse, but people forget how bad it was. Their general qc is overall really solid, especially compared to 2015/2017.
I definitely agree with the "just because you like it doesn't mean it's good and vice versa". I like age of extinction more than most people but it has many flaws. Even for the last knight, I do genuinely enjoy some parts of the movie but as a whole I wouldn't be keen to watch it. As for hasbro, I feel like the past 4 years since wfc and ss line started, hasbro has gotten so much better with engineering, sculpt, playability for the price. If it weren't for ss i wouldn't have been able to get so many good figures of my favourite characters without going to the aftermarket. I do agree the price is going crazy high right now and it will continue on which is why I mostly get them on discount when possible. And the qc issues aren't even that bad compared to ko companies who receive too much praise for upscaling others work with poorer materials
My opinion is that beast wars does have good animation (for the most part), but dreadful rendering. Like the actual movements of the characters are good, it's just that the lighting and textures have aged about as well as milk left out in the sun for 5 years
@@papermelon Yeah those are a step of animation... The LAST step Which doesn't even factor into the animating process. You gonna say Toy Story has bad animation too? They had the same limitations.
@@NexusProductions-rz1sv bud I don’t care what step of the animation process it is, it’s the animation. No need to try and sound smart 😂😂 trying to compare Toy Story animation to this is hilarious lolll. That only came out a few years after beast wars, but it’s has 20x better cgi. And yes, it’s still very dated for today’s standard. Beast wars is just abhorrent 😂
@@papermelonTwo things: 1. Toy Story came out one year before Beast Wars. But 2. In fairness to Beast Wars, it had to come out when CGI was very new AND had to somehow make it look good on a TV show budget (Toy Story would've had a much larger budget). Then again, I've never watched Beast Wars so I can't really comment.
Toy designers and engineers aren't the ones to blame when we have inaccurate toys... *SOMETIMES* It's the character designers fault for making the robot modes complicated without the transformation and practicality in mind. (Usually characters from live action movies) Also faux parts are not bad. Even live action / CGI uses faux parts. If you look at their transformations closely, you'll notice that a lot of the robot mode parts just tuck into their body and magically disappear. (not all the time tho)
I actually really liked the Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy. Siege was awesome, Earthrise kinda sucks, and Kingdom is definitely second place. I recommend only watching Siege, it's the best season by far.
My Transformer Hot Takes: 1. Starscream deserves his own solo movie. I don’t care what anybody says, if handled correctly Starscream can be one of the most complex and well written characters in all of transformers. Bay did such a terrible job with him, and he deserves so much better. Just look at shows like armada, where they turned him into a tragic autobot, or tf prime/animated where he is one of the most fun characters to watch on screen. There is even an idw comic that dives deep into his psychology and mental status. Come on give us a joker style spin off movie, Starscream is so much more then a shallow cowered. Hot Take 2. Dark of the moon should have gone with it’s original ending. Don’t get me wrong, I love Dark of the moon, but I feel like the original ending would have rapped up the bay trilogy perfectly. If you never heard of the original ending, look it up. I mean, Megatron literally saves Optimus’s life. And how does prime repay him, by tearing off his head. It just makes prime come off as an asshole. If Megatron would of surrendered and offered to let prime kill him as an alternative, I feel like it would have made Megatron so much more compelling, and rapped up his character ark much better then just killing him again and endlessly reviving him. It would also help show that Prime still has some kindness and surrender in his spark, which was a big compliant of the bay movies. Megatron once was his brother in arms after all. Hot Take 3. Slipstream is the sexiest transformer. Yep, I’m a weirdo. Also Shatter and Arcee. Well I hope my hot takes have either make you agree with me, or pissed you off. Don’t take anything I said too seriously. Goodnight and Roll Out!!!
Bay did a terrible job? Man, I really liked Starscream as a character. Only thing I could think of to make him better was to make him more energetic toward seizing the decepticon throne.
Well, ok to be fair I guess I was being a little too hard on Bay. It’s not that he did a terrible job with Starscream, it's just that I personally was left very disappointed with his take on Starscream. Growing up watching the g1 and animated cartoons, Starscream has always been a favorite character of mine. He just brings so much fun and life to the deceptions. So when the first bay movie came out, I was really let down by the fact that he only had one line in the entire movie. Then the sequels came around, and I don’t know something just felt missing. He did have any of the energy or charm I loved about him. Also Bay gave him the most pathetic death scene ever in dotm. If you like bay Starscream, good for you. We all like different characters, and I respect your opinion. I just do not like the character personally.
@@nintendofan232 yeah, fair point. Bayverse Screamer definitely was lacking in terms of personality. Although I did like that they showed more of his power as air commander, I’ve definitely liked Starscream more after starting to watch g1.
Bayverse prime wasn't too brutal and g1 prime wasn't too soft, both had adapted to fight their version of the decepticons. Bayverse decepticons were more brutal, leading to autobots needing to be brutal to combat them. G1 decepticons were mostly a nuisance, so the autobots didn't need to be that brutal. But by the time the g1 movie happens, you can see that the decepticons have become more aggressive and Optimus has become more serious, he has started to treat them like the threat they are, hence why he guns down and runs over them instead of a few half hearted shots. Same with animated, he didn't need to be a warrior because the war over, they didn't need to be trained as soldiers, the decepticons weren't as much of a threat. There were only a scattered handful left in the galaxy.
Funi Hot take i have: TF:P Megatron is VERY overrated, his entire personality was his Dark Energon addiction (i was gonna say smth different but i don't think i can) and his backstory is easily the WORST version of Megatron's "slave turned gladiator" backstory, since you need to read the novels to find out he was a slave in the first place I'm not saying he's bad, he's my 6th favorite Megatron, but he's VERY overrated
Hot Take: Bayfans are just as annoying as geewunners. They’re just in another format. And most of the time they don’t stop on hating on other transformers fans
I think the disconnect comes from the characters being changed. Bumblebee for example, the character from G1 and the character from the movies are totally different, not the same character, so which one is bumblebee? They are both official so we argue about it
Bumblebee was not a good movie and it also wasn’t a good transformers movie it was just all around garbage if you replace the transformers with anything else it would be better
As a g1 guy who grew up with the original series and toys i have to say you are right about something. The transformers toyline and cartoon series wouldnt be anywhere near what it is now without the michael bay movies. The Last Knight is still trash tho and i love Revenge of the Fallen. Lockdown was the only cool thing about Age of Extinction. You are right tho,g1 fans can be so hateful bc they feel they are protecting"their" transformers. Its nonsense. Good for you to point this out. Great video!
If you really think about it in the bumblebee universe characters looking inaccurate from there g1 counterparts has been quite consistent such as Blitzwing looking like Starscream. Mirage having Jazz's alternate mode with also Scourge being a truck and Wheeljack being Pablo also hot take jolt was the most underused cool looking autobot aside from trench in tlk in all of the bayvesrse
my hot take is that the aftermarket desperately needs to have a major shift in it. for those like me where we almost exclusively back collect it's a pain in the diodes and then some. cap the prices at original retail cost and go down from there based on how complete the figure is. it'd make at least something in this day and age of constant dumpster fires a lot less painful.
I mean, to be fair, they aren't the worst fandom by a long shot, but it's also wrong to label the fans toxic just because something polarised them. They are people with passion and seeing something that is wrong. By the end of the day, as long as nobody is hurting each other , it is all fine.
The way I see it, each character has core design elements, in their aesthetics as well as their personalities. It's alright to innovate on these characters, but I prefer it when new designs incorporate key features of the characters' core design. It doesn't have to be 1-to-1 exactly the same. It just has to be enough for the viewer to say, "yeah that's Optimus Prime," or "I can tell that's supposed to be Starscream." The idea is to keep some part of the character's design philosophy without being completely shackled by it, and exhibiting creative freedom in the design without sacrificing what made those characters recognizable in the first place. There are exceptions, where the creative ideas applied to a character that fans react so positively towards that it becomes a new core identifier of the character. And there are times where the design is great, but it just doesn't suit the character that it's intended to represent. And there are times where a very obscure character where creative freedom is more easily forgiven, and it leads to that character's newfound popularity. And I would lend this scrutiny to characters from every continuity of Transformers, be it show, film, video game, or comic book. As for G1, it was our first introduction to many of these characters, so all those characters were initially defined and designed by it. Whether we like it or not, that's where most of the design philosophies originated for these characters. That's why so many fans put emphasis on it.
Gewuuners need to stop pretending G1 was a masterpiece media too, most of the plots are hanna barberra tier and the animation studio seems to not even care with characters models most of the time, meanwhile back in the 80's japan already made Macross and Zeta Gundam
10:33 OMFG THANK YOU! SOMEONE FINALLY CALLED OUT THOSE ANNOYING PESTS. Just like some people and everybody who hasn't grew up with the G1 series, each of us have our own G1; Unicron Trilogy, Animated, Prime, Cyberverse, RiD 2001, and ofc, Bayverse. It's not so hard to not just being an annoying gatekeeping a-hole and let people enjoy things. And it's not hard to dislike it for yourself, and not dunk on others who love it. That's just pure dumb alienation. Is it not too late for me to share my Transformers hot (or coldest) take? If so, here I go: Geewunners are the self-milking lolcows of the Transformers fandom.
*SOME* of the Bayverse designs are the best versions. Ironhide, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Sideways, and the Constructicons (Not Devastator) look better in the movies than anywhere else. Also not every Fembot needs to be SUPER feminine.
I agree with you. The only think i hate it is G1 fans... They keep pushing away of the transformers franchise and Also *I Don’t Care About G1 Probamatic design* I loved the bay verse since I was a kid i know it kinda bad but the CGI is the best you know~
I wish g1 didn’t infiltrate every toy line, like studio series 86, the toys are good but all of them could be from the legacy or earthrise lines, now I’m hearing people say they want transformers devestation to be a part of the studio series gamer edition line… it’s just g1 but cell shaded
Dude I feel that on 86. I really like most G1 toys, but they’ve completely defeated the point of us getting our own movie toy line. The worst part is they’ve completely replaced the actual movie figures, so now studio series and legacy are both just full-on generations lines. And we’re FINALLY getting a SS commander class, and it’s AN 86 CHARACTER??? You could’ve just made him in the legacy commander slot??
All the Michael Bay transformer movies are good besides age of Extinction, aoe has SOME cool scenes like with the dinobots, I love the design of them, lockdown as a character in the movie was cool, and the knight design that prime gets is one of if not the best designs for optimus
I like Transformers Age of Extinction because that, Beast Wars, and G1 got me into transformers. TF4 came out 5 years after I was born. It’s like you and Revenge of the Fallen. Age of Extinction is a horrible movie but I love it.
Hot take: 2015 rid clampdown is the best Decepticon (sorry if I spelled that wrong) I feel he breaks all of the stereotypes about decepticons being brutes or tough, I like him a lot.
10:39 G1 fans act that way because it was there childhood, the one they grew up with thats why they tend to perfer G1 over anything else. When they see something new it feels like a personal attack to them thats why they hate the Bayverse stuff, but when doing this they completely forget that this newer incarnation of the franchise is introducing a whole new generation of people into the TF Fandom. Thats their biggest flaw, not being able to just go along a recognize that there's something new, something that will spark the joy of Transformers into a new younger audience.
To clarify this doesn't mean every G1 fan is like this, it's just from my experience on Ninjago since I grew up with the 2011 crew and not the new crew this was how it was because it wasn't really my childhood, but I recognized that it may no longer be my Ninjago but it most likely is a new introduction for a younger kid.
I can agree, just bc you like a movie or piece of media doesn’t mean it’s good is one of the most true statements I’ve heard like a lot of people don’t like rotb but like it or not it was live action beast wars not perfect and not really “good” but I like it and a lot of people do like it an honestly I think if was a great small introduction into the thing that is more than a few transformers factions (ranting in a comment section lmao)
I'm really tired of all this over saturation of G1, first with this new WFC trilogy (which I thought was the worst) and now with legacy, I know they've given us incredible and beautiful things, but I already want something new and not be square with wheels.
My maybe a hot take? Probably not though....Is that Starscream from the Michael bay films is extremely badass.. even though he got bodied in the third film. 😞
My hot take is that I think transformers prime is overrated asf and the designs aren't very good imo, I feel like the G1 designs are fine but following the animation models too a T is dumb and stupid
Now, on a serious note. The comments about the hateful G1ers. I'm 47yo, I was 7 or 8 when I got my first Transformers toy, it was Sideswipe. Ironically, the only representation I had in my collection, until very recently, was the Bayverse one. Now I have it and the G2 one. Anyways, I started out, only wanting the charecters I remember as a kid, as they looked back then. I have since, opened my mind, and am venturing out into all continuities, and love it! It's in part thanks to Legacy for exposing the mainline to more obscure charecters, that I want to learn more about, so thanks Legacy, can't wait for year 3 United. Gonna be wild. Anyways, I cannot stand that my fellow old folk, have given ME such a bad rep, and if they knew just how much like little butterball babies, flailing around on the floor, whining and crying, they look like, they'd be as embarressed for themselves, as I am for them. Grow up you dumbasses, they're freaking TOYS YOU MAN CHILD!
Not sure if you are going to make more of these (I love them still if that matters) but 07 imo is the only well rounded bay movie. Dotm is way too carried by the final battle. And the highway chase scene. Everything else is basically human garbage
Strong disagree on DOTM, that movie is blockbuster filmmaking perfection to me, but I respect it 👌👌 I can see why some people think it’s a little heavy on the climax though.
I suppose you're talking about "humor" bcz the whole human "garbage" really maked sense in dotm tho I have some grudges on the final where things were filmed/ shown from the "human" pov . Also Sam's gf was the worst part .
@@vishnugopalawasthi5888 definitely. I really hate the bay jokes. It's just not for me. Granted I've only seen the movie a few times and that's what's sticking out to me. I feel if that's what I remember after a movie then it's not all that.
Transformers Animated is the best TF show. Each episode way to beat the Villian is so different and unique to others, each character is fleshed out and has personality. The animation also looks beautiful and vibrant. The references and cameos are Amazing.
my take TFP designs are kinda boring, they look like Bay's design combined with Cartoonish style but they look so bland. Some design is actually great like Optimus prime (except Beast hunter design, i like RID15 and Rescue Bot design more) Vehicon ( i like Vehicon design more than whole Autobot team design) Beast hunter Megatron, Goat Megatron design
"I think a movie is bad but I think it is well made" that last part is still a subjective opinion because there is no such thing as true objectivity quality in art.
yes there is lol. like I said, plenty of things are in the gray area, but some things are extreme enough that it's one way or the other. No need to play word games.
Pablo/Wheeljack was a good and funny character that was wasted. Also the bumblebee movie Wheeljack figure is mid, has a yellowing problem, and has shaky legs.
Ngl I agree with the batman take. I just didnt like it. The pacing was way too slow and I just didnt like the plot. I get why people like it, I just don't.
You conflated BW "animation" with the CG models themselves. Those models are absolute trash by today's standards, no one is arguing that. But the actual movement, aka animation, of the characters is totally fine and the facial animations are often very well done and expressive.

Honestly, I kind of liked The Last Knight
Rotb was great as a movie, but for me as a transformers fan... I was disappointed.

@@Stormfin so the war already ended and we have characters fighting elsewhere? Kind of a mundane headcanon

Also, DOTM is my favourite bayformers movie too.
DOTM for life 🔥
@@papermelonthat’s depressing

@@GhostRoasterDrankAllTheMilk yea that's one way to look at it but no direct dialogue mourning one of the originals not even from bumblebee and rachet.

As for hasbro, I feel like the past 4 years since wfc and ss line started, hasbro has gotten so much better with engineering, sculpt, playability for the price. If it weren't for ss i wouldn't have been able to get so many good figures of my favourite characters without going to the aftermarket. It's the character designers fault for making the robot modes complicated without the transformation and practicality in mind. (Usually characters from live action movies)

I agree with this I think people forget that in the the autobots were outnumbered most of the time and the decepticons were bigger than them too.

I love studio series mirage 105. I cant wait to get it!
my hot take is that the aftermarket desperately needs to have a major shift in it. for those like me where we almost exclusively back collect it's a pain in the diodes and then some. cap the prices at original retail cost and go down from there based on how complete the figure is. it'd make at least something in this day and age of constant dumpster fires a lot less painful.
Transformer fans should be able to have their own opinions without one group of fans demolishing them for it.
I mean, to be fair, they aren't the worst fandom by a long shot, but it's also wrong to label the fans toxic just because something polarised them.
They are people with passion and seeing something that is wrong. By the end of the day, as long as nobody is hurting each other , it is all fine.
9:36 glad I’m not the only one that just CANNOT get behind this figure. Lol.
Genuinely one of the most casually infuriating toys to mess with I’ve ever owned 😭😭
I absolutely love the wfc trilogy
That's why so many fans put emphasis on it.
the insect head designs of decepticons in beyverse really add to their creepy and menacing feel and it really makes me like their designs.
Gewuuners need to stop pretending G1 was a masterpiece media too, most of the plots are hanna barberra tier and the animation studio seems to not even care with characters models most of the time, meanwhile back in the 80's japan already made Macross and Zeta Gundam

TFP designs are kinda boring, they look like Bay's design combined with Cartoonish style but they look so bland. Some design is actually great like

Beast hunter Megatron, Goat Megatron design
honestly i find all the bayverse movies good if i can sit and have a fun time watching a movie i will
The main reason why sometimes i choose third party over mainline is cause they always come with upgrade kits that are usually expensive on their own

"I think a movie is bad but I think it is well made" that last part is still a subjective opinion because there is no such thing as true objectivity quality in art.
yes there is lol. like I said, plenty of things are in the gray area, but some things are extreme enough that it's one way or the other. No need to play word games.
@@papermelon but any "objective standard" will just be someone's subjective opinion on what makes a movie good.
Im just happy someone else did not like "The Batman" I thought it was disappointing as well.
Pablo/Wheeljack was a good and funny character that was wasted. Also the bumblebee movie Wheeljack figure is mid, has a yellowing problem, and has shaky legs.
Dark and moon is my favorite movie not saying it’s good but I like it
Ngl I agree with the batman take. I just didnt like it. The pacing was way too slow and I just didnt like the plot. I get why people like it, I just don't.
You conflated BW "animation" with the CG models themselves. Those models are absolute trash by today's standards, no one is arguing that. But the actual movement, aka animation, of the characters is totally fine and the facial animations are often very well done and expressive.
my brother in christ they're both painful to look at lol
@@papermelon your take is so biased? You just said in this video that we should understand not everything is right and wrong and whatever but now you say this like if it was an absolute statement??
@@papermelon You're objectively wrong but whatever, it's your right to be so. Just like it's my right to ignore your channel in the future, thanks for nothing, algorithm suggestion.
The first 3 bayverse films are really good or at least I liked them for ROF I can watch it anytime but if it’s that turn your brain off for it too see robot fights 👍
I’m personally not a huge fan of the Beast Wars Universe idea, I like when the transformers only turn to vehicles or technology
In my opinion Transformers animated Megatron is one of the best Megatrons in the franchise .
i have leacy blitzwing and i love that figure but don’t feel bad i payed full price to 😭
Honestly I really like transformers robots in disguise it’s on top 5 of my personal opinion
The 2015 RID is way too overhated
WFC trilogy were good shows and bayverse helped the TF fandom grow
The maximals part of rotb was one of, if not the weakest and most disappointing part of the movie imo. It just felt like aoe where they just throw the dinobots in last second and just use all their scenes for trailer hype
True lol. I really enjoyed the movie, but they dropped the ball on the maximal’s screen time for sure
Well atleast the Maximals are more involved in the film compare to the Dinobots.
My take is the bay movies are awesome for the dumb fun action they are not great but they offer lots of dumb fun action
My hot take: I love most transformers media, but as an IP, transformers works best as a video game
