Playing 8.3 Britain myself, this really isn't that big of a deal. None of my guns have any issue killing it. Shoot the turret, or the right side of the front plate.
Puma is like "This isn't even my final form" *Adds Spike-LR fire & forget missiles* *Adds programmable AHEAD ammunition* But yeah, this thing needs to go way up in BR... even in it's current state.
And the aps also covers bigger area and is more effective. Thereare also multiple reports that the armor should be even better but I don't know how accurate they are since I consider it very difficult to rate armor reliable.

Those things are everywhere right now ! Surprisingly my AMX30B2 deals with it fairly well, the front hull can tank the shots and even if they disable my main gun i can do the same to them with my 20mm. Their armor is insane for an IFV, i bounced my apfsds on their side armor many times already.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's all down to the fact that a lot of times he's in a play style geared for making good content: aka "Chicken With Its Head Cutoff". I feel like that results in him being slightly unpredictable to the enemy. Like if your SP are hard to come by, you're going to play much more reserved, which is probably what most expect for behavior of the enemy. Not to say that Phly isn't good, though he has mentioned that he plays quite a bit to make these single vids, and dies a lot, too. However, if this were Fallout franchise, I'd say he *clearly* maxed out his Luck trait at character creation! LOL 🍀 _(I'm rather curious if his "playing for personal enjoyment and not recording" gameplay play style is the same as what we see, or more methodical... 🤔)_

It deserves to be 9.7 at least. It tanked all 4 my ATGMS , on another occasion survived two APDS rounds and on third 2 100 mm APCBC rounds. And its too OP.

This thing is op, I was playing with the Bradley for the first time after finally unlocking it and was being wiped out by this thing everytime, it’s gun goes right through and you can’t hit anything other than the engine, I got killed through like 3 bushes and trees inbetween, never even saw the guy properly, just wrecking me from miles away and eats the Bradley’s shit ass ap rounds and eats it’s atgms too, you’re literally just powerless against it😂
I wanna play this game so bad, then i remember that i picked the italian faction as a casual player. Game stoppe being fun the second repair costs got higher than battle rewards also unlocking any helis are impossible because you get 14 snebs and a weak mg for the starter heli.
@@weekikk The puma is closer to a light tank than an if, it's armor outperforms pretty much every light vehicle in the game thus far, it's got aps, it got great forward and reverse speed. The only limiting factor is it's weaponry, still has a 120mm apfsds belt that's going to perform the same all the way to 11.3, most nation's side armor can't defeat 120mm. It also has versatility in its VT rounds. All this combined and given its missing things, in the future it could be up there with the HSTV-L at 10.3. For now though 9.7 seems reasonable even without atgms. Imo.

I unlocked the important stuff ASAP. While spading out I already got 3 nukes and I'm not finished, which means I used this thing without any mobility upgrades. The weird thing is, it is a harder to use when you get a lower BR game because of armor meta and stronger side armor. It should definitely go up to 8.7 or 9.0.
That thing should not be 8.3 but 10.3 minimum. And it doesnt even have all of its armor and a lot of broken Subsystems. Gajin, stop undertiering vehicles and stop releasing them with a broken ass model, that 10 min. of research could fix. Here is a short list of whats wrong: -The frontal "exterior fuel tanks" are actually AMAP Armor inserts that can be taken out to lower weight for transport in a A400M -LFP is wrong -Sides are missing additional armor under the ERA and on the lower hull sides -The front corner boxes are also armor (not sure if ERA or passive) not 5mm structural steel -The back is missing armor (should be protected against russian 14.5mm) -Turret is missing NERA armor plates -CLARA ERA is missing its KE protection -CLARA ERA on the Puma is only triggered by EFPs and insensitve to other attacks(such as KE), so it should only explode when hit by HEAT (More sensitive CLARA exists but is not used) -Transmission is wrong, should be 6/6 not 10/5 -Reverse is wrong. It is not capped at -30kmh -Thermals are still wrong (i think ?) should be gen3 (the forums found the actual resolution+zoom and angle) -Commander optics is missing zoom -MUSS is broken, should provide 360° by 70° protection -MUSS directional auto smoke is missing -Helicopter warning is missing -PMC308 HETF should be KETF -FCS for the KETF Ammo is missing, (makes it act like proxy fuze, can track & lead Helis) -Ammo feed is wrong. Should be 200 rounds contious feed, then reload from Hull ammo -Gun feed is wrong, it is open bolt double fed. There is no delay between ammo switching -Name is wrong, ffs. Should be "Spz. Puma" not "PUMA".

In nearly every match I have played since the update, the team with Germany on it has won. Nearly every freaking match. What was Gaijin thinking, putting that OP PoS at 8.3? It's already the vehicle I hate the most in this game.
This thing is OP and drives me insane. Join a game at 8.0 and half the enemy team is pumas. Shoot the puma broadside with a 120mm and it doesn't even kill a single crew member. Then the pumas turns and knocks out my gun and pens my 150mm armor.
it's all fun and games until you actually get the PUMA and have to go through stock PUMA which takes hours, even days almost to get through it, it's honestly fucking horrible.
The puma should have its real life fire and forget missiles, like that how it is in the game, it is a bad version of the begleitpanzer 57, just half a br lower.
this is a "poke out corners, take hits and search after enemies in the middle of the street while under intense fire" 8.3BR IFV I guess they'll just wait until toxicity levels rise too much in the pressure cooker and then switch it to 9.0-9.7 BR and place it right next to the TAMs in the tech tree. At that moment I'll start researching it and avoid researching all the previous useless marders :3
I decided to use a AEC AA in my 8.3 line-up for shits and giggles and I managed to kill two PUMA's..Let's just say the players were very unhappy that a 2.7 dinky twin-autocannon wielding armoured car managed to annihilate their modern IFV's..
I've watched a few RUclipsrs play the Puma and they have all said it's over powered. Yet when I see them in game they get 1 maybe 2 kills then die. Based off what I've seen it's very powerful in the hands of good experienced players, but in the hands of normal folks....it is balanced 😂🤷♂️

The Pumas does really well in the hands of people who know what they are doing, know the maps and play to the vehicles strengths. Its balanced by the player base. But that's the case with so many vehicle 😂
Spamming my tier 5 German line up to try and get in this machine. On one hand I’m happy to have this to start out tier 6, on the other hand.. the German tech tree just keeps getting bigger… and bigger… and bigger. The grind is rough.
I've seen people try and do trickshots with ATGMs to try and get a quasi-top-down attack going against this thing, but even from an ambush position it's hard to pull off, since you've really only got one chance before the autocannon shreds you.
Puma still massively overpowered. I'm playing British 8.3 atm and against the army of German IFV's the game is almost unplayable. Germany's win rate at that tier must be through the roof rn. :(
So... we get the Swedish Pansarbandvagn thingy running around at 2.3 or whatever. Yeah, it's Cold War, but it's a troop carrier being shoehorned into the game as a low tier SPAA, so it gets to hang out with 1940 vehicles. But this thing is new. Capital 'N' New. The Newest thing in the game. The opposite of the Fairey Swordfish. Neue. Which begs the question... what is it doing at 8.3? WAR THUNDER! WAR THUNDER!! (Tinfoil hat activated: Russian training program to practice simulated combat against contemporary NATO vehicles.) Day 77: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, out for a spin.
It's not the newest vehicle in game, it entered full service in 2015 so Challenger Black Night, the last Merkava, Type 16 and Sprut-SDM1 are newer. Also some helicopters like Mi-28NM and the version of the AH-64DJP we have in game appeared in the late 2010s. I agree with everything you said tho
I have found the best way to kill this thing is with the he-vt atgm on the bmp2m. Just aim for the gun and it will overpressure the whole crew 90% of the time, and even if it dosent it cant shoot back
I really feel like RB needs to be balanced based on the years the tank was deployed instead of BR based on some weird assumption of its lethality (ie 1950-1955 MM instead of BR 7.2 [6.2-8.2 MM]). All of these tanks had their place in the threatscape of their time but the way Gaijin sets up the BRs you end up with tanks from an era where computers took up warehouses fighting things slinging shells and missiles with computers the size of watches inside. It will be a PITA finding a good system for the paper tanks and prototypes but I think overall it would be well worth the effort.
The PUMA has been absolutely insane trying to fight while grinding out Israel with the merk 2d. The killfeeds are just PUMAs and bagelpanzers slaughtering everything and then when you do manage to kill one you get swarmed by another 3. This going up to 9.3 at least, given that the 9040B is there. It probably should be 9.7 or 10.0, but taking into account how bad a lot of German players are which results in a lot of their tanks being undertiered, it'll probably only go up to 9.3
Phly you should take out the AC.IV for Australia's sake! Tis a gorgeous tank with a ripper of a gun and pretty decent manuvering ability, plus its been 6 years since you last posted a video on it! (Day 11)
@@Birb_of_Judge I think they should at least lower the SL-prizes for the vehicles. If I don't play my TAM 2IP I just always loose so many SL but on the other hand I want to ace out my Marder.
It does suck going against them in the 120. You have to get the first shot on them of you are screwed. Even then there are usually a few more ready to spot you with thermals and range you.
PUMA feels like playing one of those Future Tech April Fools tanks against T-54s lol

I wanna play this game so bad, then i remember that i picked the italian faction as a casual player. Game stoppe being fun the second repair costs got higher than battle rewards also unlocking any helis are impossible because you get 14 snebs and a weak mg for the starter heli.

The puma shouldn't go that high if it doesn't get atgms, and the 2m should go to like 10.3
@@weekikk The puma is closer to a light tank than an if, it's armor outperforms pretty much every light vehicle in the game thus far, it's got aps, it got great forward and reverse speed. The only limiting factor is it's weaponry, still has a 120mm apfsds belt that's going to perform the same all the way to 11.3, most nation's side armor can't defeat 120mm. It also has versatility in its VT rounds. All this combined and given its missing things, in the future it could be up there with the HSTV-L at 10.3. For now though 9.7 seems reasonable even without atgms. Imo.

@@weekikk Bro most of the MBT at 8.3 cant even pen PUMA's side armor if not facing 100% vertical, totally "balance". Should I remind you CV9040C, which has a much worse armor and less survivability equipment, apfsds with 20mm more pen, a cannon with strange reload, is currently sitting in 10.0.

While spading out I already got 3 nukes and I'm not finished, which means I used this thing without any mobility upgrades.
The weird thing is, it is a harder to use when you get a lower BR game because of armor meta and stronger side armor.
It should definitely go up to 8.7 or 9.0.
At 9.0 it would still be overpowered, 10.0 would make it balanced.

That thing should not be 8.3 but 10.3 minimum. And it doesnt even have all of its armor and a lot of broken Subsystems. Gajin, stop undertiering vehicles and stop releasing them with a broken ass model, that 10 min. of research could fix. Here is a short list of whats wrong:
-The frontal "exterior fuel tanks" are actually AMAP Armor inserts that can be taken out to lower weight for transport in a A400M
-LFP is wrong
-Sides are missing additional armor under the ERA and on the lower hull sides
-The front corner boxes are also armor (not sure if ERA or passive) not 5mm structural steel
-The back is missing armor (should be protected against russian 14.5mm)
-Turret is missing NERA armor plates
-CLARA ERA is missing its KE protection
-CLARA ERA on the Puma is only triggered by EFPs and insensitve to other attacks(such as KE), so it should only explode when hit by HEAT (More sensitive CLARA exists but is not used)
-Transmission is wrong, should be 6/6 not 10/5
-Reverse is wrong. It is not capped at -30kmh
-Thermals are still wrong (i think ?) should be gen3 (the forums found the actual resolution+zoom and angle)
-Commander optics is missing zoom
-MUSS is broken, should provide 360° by 70° protection
-MUSS directional auto smoke is missing
-Helicopter warning is missing
-PMC308 HETF should be KETF
-FCS for the KETF Ammo is missing, (makes it act like proxy fuze, can track & lead Helis)
-Ammo feed is wrong. Should be 200 rounds contious feed, then reload from Hull ammo
-Gun feed is wrong, it is open bolt double fed. There is no delay between ammo switching
-Name is wrong, ffs. Should be "Spz. Puma" not "PUMA".
Reading this List... Just imagine having THIS Spz. Puma in the game....
@@Mr123donald456 Wait until you hear the VJTF, S1 and proposed S2 upgrades :D The current one in game is just the broken Baseline Puma. The upgraded ones should all be BR 12.3+ and Rank 8. With gajins unwillingness to decompress BRs and fixing their game, i _fear_ the thing to come.
In nearly every match I have played since the update, the team with Germany on it has won. Nearly every freaking match. What was Gaijin thinking, putting that OP PoS at 8.3? It's already the vehicle I hate the most in this game.

This thing is OP and drives me insane. Join a game at 8.0 and half the enemy team is pumas. Shoot the puma broadside with a 120mm and it doesn't even kill a single crew member. Then the pumas turns and knocks out my gun and pens my 150mm armor.
Thats how I feel when I shoot russian troll armor from the side.

it's all fun and games until you actually get the PUMA and have to go through stock PUMA which takes hours, even days almost to get through it, it's honestly fucking horrible.

I decided to use a AEC AA in my 8.3 line-up for shits and giggles and I managed to kill two PUMA's..Let's just say the players were very unhappy that a 2.7 dinky twin-autocannon wielding armoured car managed to annihilate their modern IFV's..

I've watched a few RUclipsrs play the Puma and they have all said it's over powered. Yet when I see them in game they get 1 maybe 2 kills then die. Based off what I've seen it's very powerful in the hands of good experienced players, but in the hands of normal folks....it is balanced 😂🤷♂️
...nah it is also very good in the hands of normal players but all the players that have no skill now want to play this op vehicle to get kills.

@@akiara8491I have watched that video and I still stand by my comment. I spent pretty much all my time in the 9.0 to 10.0 range. The Pumas does really well in the hands of people who know what they are doing, know the maps and play to the vehicles strengths. Its balanced by the player base. But that's the case with so many vehicle 😂
Spamming my tier 5 German line up to try and get in this machine. On one hand I’m happy to have this to start out tier 6, on the other hand.. the German tech tree just keeps getting bigger… and bigger… and bigger. The grind is rough.

I've seen people try and do trickshots with ATGMs to try and get a quasi-top-down attack going against this thing, but even from an ambush position it's hard to pull off, since you've really only got one chance before the autocannon shreds you.

Puma still massively overpowered. I'm playing British 8.3 atm and against the army of German IFV's the game is almost unplayable. Germany's win rate at that tier must be through the roof rn. :(
So... we get the Swedish Pansarbandvagn thingy running around at 2.3 or whatever. Yeah, it's Cold War, but it's a troop carrier being shoehorned into the game as a low tier SPAA, so it gets to hang out with 1940 vehicles.

It's not the newest vehicle in game, it entered full service in 2015 so Challenger Black Night, the last Merkava, Type 16 and Sprut-SDM1 are newer. Also some helicopters like Mi-28NM and the version of the AH-64DJP we have in game appeared in the late 2010s. I agree with everything you said tho

So I was fighting this thing in a realistic battle and I launched an ATGM at em and it said it was disrupting my ATGM laser guide.
It has soft kill aps against certain atgms
I think it has IRCM, if you look at the bottom left corner while he’s playing it says IRCM

I have found the best way to kill this thing is with the he-vt atgm on the bmp2m. Just aim for the gun and it will overpressure the whole crew 90% of the time, and even if it dosent it cant shoot back
I really feel like RB needs to be balanced based on the years the tank was deployed instead of BR based on some weird assumption of its lethality (ie 1950-1955 MM instead of BR 7.2 [6.2-8.2 MM]). All of these tanks had their place in the threatscape of their time but the way Gaijin sets up the BRs you end up with tanks from an era where computers took up warehouses fighting things slinging shells and missiles with computers the size of watches inside. It will be a PITA finding a good system for the paper tanks and prototypes but I think overall it would be well worth the effort.
The PUMA has been absolutely insane trying to fight while grinding out Israel with the merk 2d. The killfeeds are just PUMAs and bagelpanzers slaughtering everything and then when you do manage to kill one you get swarmed by another 3. This going up to 9.3 at least, given that the 9040B is there. It probably should be 9.7 or 10.0, but taking into account how bad a lot of German players are which results in a lot of their tanks being undertiered, it'll probably only go up to 9.3

The puma is an enigma: strong at the sides, weak at the front. I love using it and I hate playing against it
The addition of the Puma has rendered my Object 120 usless. I get sniped by them each time at like 2 km.
It does suck going against them in the 120. You have to get the first shot on them of you are screwed. Even then there are usually a few more ready to spot you with thermals and range you.
