Jimmy Diresta is one of the most talented makers I have ever seen. Please have him back soon. He is to making, what Norm is to carpentry, a true master.
So great to see you all and Jimmy Diresta together. He has been a RUclips hero of mine for many years now. I hope you'll feature him on more builds in the near future. He has so many talents and gifts.
Loved it!! You totally need to do more of these. I'm excited to see the other projects with Jimmy and the Ben Uyeda segment too! I grew up in Massachusetts watching the show and it's amazing seeing my peers make their way onto the show now.
Huge Diresta fan here, nice to see an iconic show like ATOH showcase one of America's great Makers, Jimmy Diresta. ATOH and Jimmy Diresta, two of my absolute favorites !
fantastic! please do more videos with jimmy! this is just the tip of the iceberg of his knowledge. between his experience and outlook on things, he should be a regular on TOH.
Lovely how it all comes together, the avoidance of mitred corners a nice touch & all made extra special & unique by using ones own lumber & all beautifully lit & filmed with clear audio. Super job!
Thank you Kevin and TOH for reaching outside your normal sphere of influence to feature a true craftsman and artist. Jimmy and his contemporaries deserve to be recognized on the national stage. Could RUclips be the new PBS!? Next up - Frank Howarth, Laura Kampf, Chris Salomone, Taylor Forrest, Brian Oltrogge, Matt Cremona...
Nice project, and while I'm not knocking Jimmy's personal video style (which I love), it was totally refreshing to see Jimmy working in earth time and talking with Kevin about his process.
Nothing I can add that hasn't been echoes already. Love Jimmy, love TOH, great to see an older making institution really embracing the YT maker community.
Big fan of Norm Abram, then TOH, then sled down the YT rabbit hole with Jimmy Diresta at the center... All y'all changed my life for the better, I'm a Maker Dad now ! When pouring the epoxy in to the cup and using your stick line method, one of the parts of the epoxy will be more than the other because the mixing cup you were using is tapered.
