Glad to see internal mufflers coming back. I love them and use ‘em all the time.
Oh how I have dreamed of having a set of Sonor and now with cool auto dampers 🤘🏽🤘🏽🥁🥁🥁🥁🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Amazing snare and great to bring back the internal muffling, you get three snares in one basically 🤷♂️
Benny rules! Also, what camera and lens are you using? Looks great!
I'm sure you're a nice guy, but he really put you in your place. Awesome!
Those dampers are a great idea.
Andy Ham They were a revolutionary idea 90 years ago too. Some ideas should stay in the past.
Guest appearance by no other than Kirk Covington (Tribal Tech) at 3:29! :)

Hello darkness my old friend...
his appearance causing a chain of handshake fails
Best in namm 2020!!!
GOTTA get the brass
Will sonor become affordable and assessable in 2020 is the real question 🤔💯
Hi Jeremy. You are right, they cost quite a bit of money - you can check the prices here: tho.mn/u3cs2
Jeremy Sims The short answer would be.......No.
There is no difference compare to brands like gretsch, dw, ludwig snares. If you want a good sound, you have to invest boy :)
You're right - Sonor had some rather steap price increases over the last couple of years, especially with SQ2. To be fair though, these two Benny Greb models shown here are loaded with features, build quality doesn't get much better either and there are snares that cost 1000€/$ without any "extras" and a strainer that is simply aweful compared to the Dual Glide. I was surprised tbh that they didn't put it at 899€ :-P
Jeremy Sims If you top of the line and affordable you have to look to the SLP lineup from Tama. I have several and they are no doubt pro level drums. Gretch also has a nice selection of snares in the affordable range.
The 50s Teardrop 😢 🥁 Lugs look killer 🤘🏻! An interesting and very smart dampening mechanism, they sound 👂🏻 great. I wish these snare drums came in standard 14" x 6.5" sizes as well because not everyone wants or needs a 13” piccolo snare drum. Sonor, it would be really nice if we could get the cool retro 50s Teardrop Lugs on the SQ2 kits as an option, I will take mine in Black Nickel.
if its greb its great
