You probably had trouble with the NPC's flying the B-17's since they were WAY too low to be dropping bombs like that, something to do with the world height of Minecraft perhaps?

Fun fact: during the morning of d day the allied aircraft meant to bomb the German positions but since it was dark they missed but as the sun began to rise they were able to see their targets more clearly.
I loved this video. It was mostly realistic; however, I do have one thing to critique. There wasn't just one wave of Allied attackers, there were several. But the first wave was certainly the most 'interesting'. As I said, though, great video.

It seems that bombs are used to change the terrain of the battlefield instead of killing soldiers
