HAPPY NEW YEAR! Also, we're in need of another name... This time for Mr. Axolotl! (Because I don't think AxolotlAxolotl is gonna work quite as well as HorseHorse haha) Leave your suggestions here!!
I clicked on episode 0 thinking it was a video essay but was pleasantly surprised! I’ve been glued to this series all day! I love how simple everything is and how you take your viewers along with the journey. I cant wait for episode 5!
So Lovely to see someone finally playing minecraft slow, peacefully and casually and taking time to actually build stuff instead of speedrunning everything. Its just like the good old days 😭
Question-of-the day sounds great! My question would be: For how long have you been playing Minecraft? (you calling regular stone "smooth stone" suggests a long time. 😁)
This series just cures my soul 😭 I got burned out of Minecraft for more than a year now and I never really got into playing again. I have so little free time for playing left in my days and every time I could play for one or two hours I just can’t motivate myself because I thought I just cant get anything done. I have a huge world I built over the last years and it might be the right moment to return now. With a more chill playstyle and enjoying the game as it is. Using the original soundtrack as music in your vids is a great idea, it just calms everything down from out stressful lives Keep up the great work, I love this series 🫶
as much as I'm embarrassed to say this, whenever I try to sleep, especially in the dark, I get this weird paranoia which never lets me sleep (I just don't wanna say I'm afraid of the dark), except, Your videos are so soothing, I sleep like a baby every time, I can't explain it, and when I wake up, I always make sure to re-watch the videos. always.
Hey SoupSoup! I’ve been watching your series since the start and it’s really inspired me to return to minecraft! I really enjoy your content, but have a question for you; What inspired you to start this series? Anyway, keep up the great work! (Name the axolotl Princess Cobble and build her a small aquatic castle!!)
This series is exactly what I was looking for. Enough of speed runs and mega builds; I feel inspired to start a survival world from scratch and go back to what I would do when I first started playing
Every episode surprises me, I've played solo survival so many times I can't count anymore, and I feel like I've done everything. I love that people can still find minecraft enjoyable, I mostly play servers nowadays. I kind of wish I had friends to really enjoy minecraft with, but even that, after we play a lot, will get bored. And my friends will stop playing and leave me alone, just like a solo survival world. Minecraft is fun but it's not as fun as it used to be. I kind of wish I can play mc with someone who has as much drive as you.
Your videos are really good, reminds me of older minecraft youtube with youtubers like stampy. What would be cool is if you built a map room to document the progress of the world/base.
Love this series so much! It’s both a sedimental reminder that this game is so much more then modern RUclipsrs sometimes make it as well as a bountiful lot of new ideas for my own world! Already thinking about making a mine of my own, the railroad system in yours is so cool!
I started my own minecraft adventure while watching these videos ive currently made my dirt hut and im also taking photo of all the things im doing so i can look back and see the progress.❤
the Minecraft music that starts from 10:38 really matches the survival, because then it seems like you are really enjoying Minecraft, you should really keep doing it!
Thank you! I had a request to use more actual Minecraft music and I think it really sets the mood well, I will definitely be doing that more in the future!
I just want to thank you, this chill and relax series has inspired me to start recording my own Minecraft 6 month survival world, I wish you the best year imaginable in 2024❤
Absolutely inspiring! Been on a little binge of all your videos and it's got me excited to work on my own singleplayer worlds again. The way you build is amazing too! I'm absolutely taking notes on the animal pens, iron bars as chicken wire feels so obvious now that I've seen it done!
These videos have inspired me to give survival Minecraft another shot and taking it a slower pace. I usually burn myself out by taking things fast usually fizzling out after getting Diamond gear or going to the Nether. I've heard plenty of suggestions for End and Combat updates which are fair choices but honestly I'm actually a bit more keen for more unusual ideas like an update focused on fixing midgame stuff or mostly cosmetic update with lots of Quality of Life things working to inspire people to be make cool things and be creative. My question is then, what update theme would you go for next and what would you add? Loving the videos by the way!
Next episode, maybe you could upgrade your house? Like make a proper enchanting room, and add a small but cute kitchen? Also maybe you could turn the attic into a brewing room, with KNOWLEDGE OF THE ANCIENTS up there, haha 😊
This is one of the best ideas I’ve seen, the reason I get bored and quit playing mco is because I be having a goal to make a nice build in survival and get fully maxed armor and a really cool base, then I stop playing because I don’t have the passion to do that, I haven’t played regular MC in forever, just been on modded mc or build teams
I've been taking a similar approach to minecraft. Glad to know I'm not the only one. And your videos are very inspiring. Thank you for the good content. A question I have: What is your favourite biomo and why? Personally, I like jungles because of how vibrant the grass and leaves are.
6:31 it's a good idea ,you can do the same idea but maybe change somethings like instead of the question you could do something else , and you always can make a discord server for chatting with your audience
Great episode. I really like to montages of you gathering resourses between the builds and story telling. Keeps the emersion compleet. Great content soupsoup. Just watched all yojr episodes in 1 sitting
this video series inspired me to start my own minecraft world about a week ago, i started just taking it slow and im currently building an above ground ancient city with stone bricks and andesite! i gotta say, playing your way has really been refreshing!
9:24 I really like how you create like a little station to put your stuff instead of just putting it down and actually think about the little things, but I guess that is what this whole series is about
Thanks for noticing! In my opinion, it really adds to the immersion factor when you set up little workstations or construction spots instead of chucking everything down, haha.
This series is incredible! I find it really inspiring and always love watching how others play Minecraft. I hope you keep this series up for a while and do take your time. You are uploading these videos fast, so please be careful about burnout! Cant wait to see episode 5!
This is a really good episode, even though i haven't seen the others. I'll be staying for this series i think! it would be fun if you made a survival server for people to join, too but i mean thats risky do what you want, this is really good
I’ve wanted to do this for years and seeing a new guy who started from nothing try and succeed finally has gotten me to get over my fears and try. Not trying to take away your audience at all but thank you for the inspiration!
This comment is more of a fan letter!!! YT recommended your channel to me yesterday, and I''ve watched every single episode already! You have such an engaging style of speaking, and it leaves the viewer wanting more - these videos are so WELL DONE, interesting, funny, and also inspirational because I can't wait to start a new world in this style. One request, would you ever consider sharing the seed you're using? Please keep the videos coming, I can't wait for the next one! 🥰
Thanks so much! I haven't shared the seed yet, but maybe in a few more episodes. I'm a little worried about people letting me know things about my own world that I haven't explored yet, if that makes sense. Probably an irrational fear but I want to have the chance to experience and discover things myself!
so relaxing as always SoupSoup! and yes, a question of the day I think would be great to start forming a community. also, I'd love if you could make like a small trading hall with trading stands, like a small village market :)
In a previous episode, you labeled the house as a "starter" base, when is the awe-inspiring main base coming? I would love to know what you have planned and I can't wait for future uploads!
Hi SoupSoup! I first wanted to say thank you for making this series! it's inspired me a lot and has made me realize taking things slow is my favorite game style. I wanted to ask you where we can submit fanart of you because I've noticed you don't have any linked social media and I'm not sure how I can share it with you. Happy New Years!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I just created a Twitter/X account. that should be linked in my profile. I'm not the best at keeping up with social media, but I'll try!
hey man, i just wanted to tell you how much i love this series! i play my main singleplayer world modded so you inspired me to start a new vanilla world, and honestly i forgot how fun and nostalgic it was to just take it slow and enjoy minecraft in its most simple. both the experience and your videos have been such a stress reliever for me lately. you seem like such a wholesome guy and your playthrough is a joy to watch. thank you soup! 🩷
Hi SoupSoup! Happy new year! Another great episode. I am excited to see what 2024 is going to bring for this series. I can't wait for you to build a bridge and maybe a harbour. Develop that river with infrastructure!
Honestly like I have so many ideas!! Like maybe dogs around the barn and animal pens to look like herding/guard dogs And cats too! I think the name KitKat would be nice for a cat
I just binged all your videos after a long few work weeks and I gotta say this is my favorite series I've watched in a long while. Your voice is just so soothing and engaging and your builds are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing where this series goes. Happy new year!! And if you made a Discord, I'd join in a heartbeat. It would be a good way to build community like you mentioned
Thank you so much for making this series, after hearing Haggstrom halfway trought the video i started crying, remembering the old times when i played on a little minecraft server with my dad and my uncle. Your videos make me want to start a new server with my dad and just play like the gold days.
Hey SoupSoup! Another great episode my friend. I also love the idea of taking questions from the comments. I have one for you. You sound too experienced for this to be your first experience making videos for youtube. Is this your first time or have you done something similar before? Thanks bud. Also you should make a natural bridge to connect the lands. A stone and dirt arch over the water would look great! Keep up the good work and Happy New Year!
I think bob is traveling across realities… I see him in your and Dallas’ videos… is there a connection? (Your content is amazing and I would love to see you do the comment question of the day!)
Happy new year! I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but i really like the way you sound in this videos. While talking, your voice is very calming and you convey such care and love for what you're doing in a way that i can only describe as "gentle". That just adds so much to the experience of seeing this series of yours evolve alongside the world that it is about. Seriously, congrats on your work! I'm loving it and will surely be around to see where it goes next every time. Cheers!
This series is so good! because of your videos i finelly had soem ideas how to decorate my house . thank you (you are making great videos btw, don't stop!)
I love the series so far! Started my own survival world alongside you and it's been great! What i have done, is that i dont sleep so i cant just skip all the monsters spawning. It really makes the game more enjoyable as it's not as easy. Keep it up!
That sounds super fun! I actually spent quite a few nights not sleeping in this episode to get bones for bone meal, but it didn’t quite make the cut. Night is like a completely different game than day!!
I just have to apriciate the vibe that you gave us through out the series. Its amazing that afrer watching you videos I actually want to play minecraft again. Keep up the great work!
Axolotl name ideas: Pinkie (kind of an obvious one), Azzy (azalea trees), Slushie (because of lush caves. s-lush-ie. haha get it?), Blossom (because spore blossoms are pink)
when ur building (especially on roofs) try using scaffolding! it helps so that u won't have to take damage or use other blocks to get up, you just kinda slide through it when ur using it but all you need is bamboo and some string ! love the videos
As much as I love watching other types of RUclips videos, this series genuinely inspires me to play Minecraft and there’s no pressure to do anything huge but just to enjoy the little things :)
I really enjoy your format. The RUclips algorithm keeps giving me small Minecraft channels, to which I rarely subscribe, but I've enjoyed your series a lot so far & I'm a big fan of playing the game in this fashion. It's a very practical approach to creativity that stands out amongst the metagaming redstone farms as much as it does from the insane builds most of us can't dream of.
I just wrote an essay so I don’t really have words right now but I love this series so much! I feel like I’m living in the world alongside you, and your excitement about every little thing is so contagious :) can’t wait for the next post!
i think animals are the #1 most underrated thing in minecraft after watching this video. no wonder my world felt so lonely on singleplayer when i had no pets! i'm going to build a sheep pen next to my lookout tower in my new modded world.
Your videos inspire me your doing something no one else is doing! also do you have any plans to give your axolotl a proper home? maybe a man made lake or just in the barn you made.
wow, i never thought i would get this much enjoyment out of such a slow series, but i love it! and i love how simple the editing is, no flashy lights or crazy edits, just simple gameplay with some nice replay mod shots. and with all that peaceful music in the background makes it so good. so keep it up man! also i think i may do somthing like this too if you dont mind :) been wondering what to do for my channel and to see how well its going for u, i think ima take some inspiration but with my own spin. so again, keep it up!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Also, we're in need of another name... This time for Mr. Axolotl! (Because I don't think AxolotlAxolotl is gonna work quite as well as HorseHorse haha) Leave your suggestions here!!
"Alexander the axolotl"
name him jimbo
AxeAxe!! Short for AxolotlAxolotl so we can keep the chain going!
AxoAxo
LotLot!
I clicked on episode 0 thinking it was a video essay but was pleasantly surprised! I’ve been glued to this series all day! I love how simple everything is and how you take your viewers along with the journey. I cant wait for episode 5!
Same here!! Minecraft content has been feeling very cookie cutter and overwhelming lately, this series is a breath of fresh air
Same
So Lovely to see someone finally playing minecraft slow, peacefully and casually and taking time to actually build stuff instead of speedrunning everything. Its just like the good old days 😭
I physically started cheering when I got the notification that you posted. That's how much your series is worth to me. Please never stop posting this.
Haha thanks so much!!
@@SoupSoupOfficialwhats the world seed
This world is shaping up to be one of the most wholesome and purposeful builds I've ever seen.

bro why is this man so wholesome?!
I love you HoresHorse
(edit) we gotta spread the word about this series man
Question-of-the day sounds great! My question would be: For how long have you been playing Minecraft? (you calling regular stone "smooth stone" suggests a long time. 😁)
Wait it's NOT called smooth stone anymore? I guess I'm showing my age 💀
@@Amunisence Nope, that's a different block nowadays. 😊
@@DiiKojI still call it smooth stone and I've been watching Minecraft from a long time ago
Axolotl Axolotl is a mouthful but I think Lotl Lotl is adorable.

i love the idea of a question-of-the-day type thing!! if you do decide to do it, heres my question: why did you name your channel soupsoup?
Dude! I just finished watching episode 3! Talk about perfect timing... The binge watch continues!!
I hope you build a fishing spot soon
I was binging too lmao
Great episode! I'm so inspired by this whole series and your fluid storytelling! Thank you so much for sharing it with everyone!
Finally someone who plays minecraft the way i do. No machines or mega bases or farms just explore and slowly expand good content 10/10 ❤
You’ve gotten me motivated to play Minecraft again. This time, the right way. Relaxing and cozy. Fuzzy and warm. All of the deep feelings once again.
Hey SoupSoup! I’ve been watching your series since the start and it’s really inspired me to return to minecraft! I really like this series! I definitely think that you should name the axolotl Miso because it’s a kind of soup! ❤
I love the idea of the little food dispenser instead of just another chest or barrel!
This series is exactly what I was looking for. Enough of speed runs and mega builds; I feel inspired to start a survival world from scratch and go back to what I would do when I first started playing

I was thinking the same thing c:
Hells bells, talk about another amazing minecraft series! I was thinking, maybe ya can add some of the coarse dirt to your mineshaft.

I just wrote an essay so I don’t really have words right now but I love this series so much! I feel like I’m living in the world alongside you, and your excitement about every little thing is so contagious :) can’t wait for the next post!
i just binged all of your videos, and it feels so nostalgic- this is how minecraft was meant to be played! keep up the good work :D
A discord server would be a good idea to talk with your community.
Suggestion: find a snowy biome and make a snowman!
i think animals are the #1 most underrated thing in minecraft after watching this video. no wonder my world felt so lonely on singleplayer when i had no pets! i'm going to build a sheep pen next to my lookout tower in my new modded world.
I really loved this episode!:D also, I have a question, would you ever be up for making a discord server?
This series is amazing! Also horsehorse regains health when hes close to hay blocks! And he likes golden apples
Im binge watching all of your videos and god I could watch you for hours, WE NEED MORE MORE
QotD: To better know you, you could tell us what's your everyday job or what are your hobbies besides Minecraft ? Great episode as always :)
