The Sky have had 4 coaches in the last 5 years. Stop blaming players and Reese. There is something wrong with the front office. Coaches need more than a year to rebuild.

The whole of the WNBA is a dumpster fire. As a new fan, I have never seen so much drama. The unexpected firing of a coach, the bullying, the hazing of rookies, the drama around intimate relationships between players, the narrative of racism, and death threats. Damn it so overshadows the basketball.
The "narrative of racism, and death threats" is just that: a narrative. A way to salvage some victimhood points from a situation where the WNBA players look awful. I'm so grossed out by what I've seen this year, I don't think I'll be back next year, with or without Caitlyn. Oh, and you left out the officiating. I've been a bitter critic of NBA refs for many years, and even I was shocked by some of the crap I've seen from the clowns the WNBA hires for the job.

Personally, I hope all theChicago Sky players requests to be traded. In my opinion it is clear, that Chicago has a Horrible owner, horrible general manager. I hope the Chicago Sky lose all of their future games… Until the leadership start treating those WNBA player like they are human beings and Pay them their Money. I’m just saying !! A Fan 💯
When a player wildly swings her arm, clubs an opponents head or neck or body slams someone they’re out of control, coaches should send them to the lockers, there’s no excuses, and you three stooges, you’re all blind, you’re all untrustworthy, no respect.
Weatherspoon gave Carter permission to be violent. Other coaches hadn't tolerated that. I have no sympathy for Weatherspoon - - as with Carter, there should be more important things than just basketball ability.
@@BoBoBaleit’s more like she exposed the league lol. She dropped twenty plus on Carrington twice and had double digits v her 4 out of 6 games. DC is one of the best defensive players in the league. She also busted the sky all four games averaging 21 a game despite getting targeted lol. Keep hating and get used to that average PG running the Sky out of the gym 😅
Except for Chennedy, who is erratic, they traded away their two best players. The culture that was created was part of the problem. The players did not act like professionals.
The man in this video asks a question of the others, but then proceeds to speak on end about what he thinks. When you ask a question, GIVE OTHERS THE CHANCE TO ANSWER IT.
Part of the reason she was fired was due to chaotic situations. 1) good player in mabrey wanting out. 2) focusing on stat chasing over winning. 3) terrible offensive scheme. 4) too much attention to Caitlin clark.
Weatherspoon was given a job beyond her capabilities and maturity. She tolerated toxic behavior. She fist-pumped Carter's blindside bodycheck of Clark. She favored Reese to the detriment of her team. She underutilized Cardoso. She lost Mabry. A train wreck in Chicago.
I think when the "locker room fight?" leaked out the door during the post game interview was a factor. you know what I'm talking about right? I was embarrassed for the Sky. Kamilla Cordoso looked appalled. We may never know what that fiasco was about but I can't think of any scenario where that was acceptable. The Sky were definitely in chaos.
The locker room is not behind that press room. It was a weird narrative a troll page started. Usually fans are lined up adjacent to that door. There is a video of Chennedy Carter walking pass fans to get into that room
The franchise had two picks in the first round to improve the team drastically. They had two players on the roster who needed help in building the team success. By taking two players to split playing time and getting the drama that came with Angel they drive their two best players out.
Listening to you three and thinking about the Olympics, and also how they didn’t move certain games to later arenas, I’ve learned that the WNBA is too emotional to run as a business. They don’t prioritize the business side of the league. Your players can love you, you can be a well liked person outside of basketball, but when you don’t show professionalism in post game interviews, allow your players to act unprofessional, allow players to stay pack during garbage time, players want to leave,(all allegedly) well it becomes a business decision for the front office has to make
Do you think it's coincidental that Reese's podcast with her asking swoooops if she would coach her team and swoooops said I'd love to coach you then Reese says good then your my coach, within 24 hours of Witherspoon's release? Reese's crocodile tears for Witherspoon? 🤔
I don’t understand the panel’s reluctance to mention the obvious: -the toxic culture pushed Mabrey out -letting Angel chase stats in late game garbage time -selecting Angel to shoot technicals over their better shooters. The last two definitely caused some friction on the bench and in the locker room which Contributed to their toxic situation. Coach Spoon showed her bosses that she was not putting the team first but the group of 3 talkers never mention the obvious.
@claytonelledge3724 Mabrey asked to be traded before Tspoon was hired. Reese is one of the best free throw shooters on the team and the Sky's cash cow, who is responsible for sold out games. Mabrey has missed clutch free throws in tight games and is not the go-to person for technical fouls. Stop the hate on Reese. Tspoon's firing was due to other issues.
This interview is another example why WNBA is plagued with drama. Insiders unwilling to be honest about issues. R they scared of being cancelled or kicked out of the community? Lying doesn’t help ppl!! It fuels bitterness!! Constructive criticism helps us improve. Treating everyone like they’re infallible is insulting and dishonest.
I totally agree with you..I am from Chicago and these 3 seem like 3 blind mice...Weatherspoon couldn't coach, didn't know how to play her player's..player's couldn't get out of the SKY fast enough...and if she got asked any tough questions at the media sessions at the end of the game she would walk out...
The players in the league run the WNBA. I have never seen a successful organization that allows the employees to run things. That is why the WMBA is not successful to include it's wokeness.
When Angel goes to the Olympics and invites a person to come play with the team! Who is she to be able to hire people? Then the fouls on purpose. One person should of been fired and the other two gave each other high fives and clapped. That should of been stopped. Nothing was done.
Watching a lot of the games from a coaching standpoint I do not think Weatherspoon has the skills to coach these players to the next level. Some games that should have been won could have if she made changes on the court and knew how to get the best out of her players. A travesty to see Cordosa have to take a back seat to Reese and compromise her overall stats, especially when Cordosa was playing good and taken out when the “Reese stats” seemed more important to a coach(and her ego)than optimizing the best in each player. Never in hell would I have traded Maybre mid season. We saw how she is doing in playoffs but Weatherspoon undermined her playing and could not pull out the talent that the Sun coach has. Same with Dana Evan’s- much more talented but stifled some after a not so hot game. As far as disciple and letting players know where you stand, Weatherspoon fell far short. The initial incident with Chennedy Carter pushing Caitlin Clark should have been put to a halt letting in dealing with it swiftly behind closed doors letting team know it better not happen again. Later in season another Sky player bullying on the court means the team saw no ramifications in playing time and felt the liberty to do it again. Team out of control and Weatherspoon in a flux not knowing how to handle it when it escalated to serious drama later in season. When athletes do not feel safe or have appropriate boundaries the team falls apart like it did. We saw Mabry so relieved and desperate to get the h*ll out of there. Different environment…same athlete…go figure! Didn’t take rocket science to see that going forward with Weatherspoon would be unproductive and toxic.
@@rebauer2000 I really think this entire league is going to turn around....there is way to much money to be made...wnba needs for LA to be contender..I believe Magic Johnson will make that happen....Most owners are now seeing that this league is no longer a tax write off but could be a profitable business. Because she's a 1st year coach, in rebuild years you give 3 years minimum. Maybe they did better than expected so now want a coach to capitalize on the talent.
The flagrant fouls which on occasion the coach should have pulled and sat the offender down for a time. Spoon didn’t really create a culture that was opposed to that… more eyes than ever were on these games and hard fouls will be looked at differently rather than rejoiced. Spoon didn’t handle those in a professional way. IMO
@ThomasChrist-co5pq IMO you dont handle those things publicly and let the league decide on purpose punishments. How it works in all professional sports I watch. How it works in businesses I've owned or worked in. I would never feed my employees to the masses.
Why didn't you discuss TSpoon's immaturity, walking out of pressers, supporting a dirty player's actions, creating a culture that encourages bullying? That alone was reason enough to fire her. Now the Sky wants a coach whose demeanor and personality are the polar opposites of TSpoon's? How could that be, when all the players adored her? I watched a pro-Sky live stream podcast in which some participants favored hiring Sheryl Swoopes or Diana Taurasi. Either of them would allow the coaching change to be a seamless continuation of the culture TSpoon promoted.
Swoopes would have an even more toxic atmosphere than the one the Sky had this year! And Diana Taurasi used to punch rookies. I don’t think either of them would provide a fresh start. (As for Witherspoon walking into a mess, that may be true, but she made it worse by not disciplining Chennedy Carter because she had a bad childhood (or whatever she meant when she said you all don’t know what I’ve been through. ).
Swoopes and TSpoon are great friends. She dragged the owners on her podcast. She would never. They also aren’t going to get anyone who hasn’t coached before.
She got fired for cowtowing to Angel Reese, full stop . And yes , I'm making fun of people who say " full stop " . She let AR do whatever she wanted at the expense of W's for the TEAM. She allowed AR to play for the name on the back of her jersey when she should have been playing for the name on the front .
Sky fans will never admit AR was part of why Spoon got fired. Even a blind man can see the offense should have been run through Camilla. Sky fans love to bring up college stats comparing Reese to Clark. Well Cardoso was 5-0 v Reese in college. So the solution is to feed the person that lost five times..not the one who won 😂

If you don’t know what you’re talking about I would recommend not saying anything at all…
Marina Mabre said in her new team, that its a good team no selfishness they pass the ball to whomever is open. So I guess there was a favoritism passing the ball to favorite player instead of using the open players? Perhaps?
Also why did she leave Angel in the game when they were losing to Fever by 25 points when both benches went into the game? It was clear she was stat padding for Angel
Wasn't surprised she was fired. As a 20 yr military vet, she didn't show leadership, team growth or stamp out unprofessional behavior. These are professional basketball players who tried to hurt other players on the court, prioritized personal goals and didn't take accountability when it mattered. They were even toxic with each other in their own locker room. Coach spoon has to nip that in the bud. You can't be or seem to be complicate in your players bad actions. The double double over wins was bad and your star rookie had poor development out of college. Not the same leage, but what NBA player have you ever SEEN not make layup consistently out of college??? From watching the games against C.C., coaches around the league have been allowing their players to act and play like gangsters. This is a sport, not an arena for gangsters regardless of color, cultural upbringing, social strata, or economic position. Every sport has rules and if you do not follow the rules you must be toast out of the game, ejected, sayonara, adios, goodbye. The league should clean up their act or they will face a 99 Million dollar lawsuit from some injured party or player or person.
I appreciate listening to all three of you on this subject. I'm trying to answer the question as to why. You gave me some great things to think about. At the same time, from the outside looking in, there seemed to be a toxic environment. This toxic environment became outwardly evident when Carter floored Clark and Reese along with other teammates celebrated. Seemingly the coach did little to nothing to correct this behavior. Mabrey was another outward sign of a toxic environment. Carter's dirty play with seemingly little being done about it was another sign. The outburst in the locker room was another sign. I likened this team in some senses to the Detroit Pistons of old. As you mentioned, it's possible she just didn't have the experience. It should be interesting what comes out in the days to come. On a positive note and maybe in her defense, If Carter had not gone out for 3 to 5 games and Reese had not injured her hand I believe this team would have been in the playoffs fighting for the 7th or 6th seed. Mabrey was a huge lose. While I'm not a fan of Reese, she made a huge difference. I hope they clean things up in Chicago however, as long as Reese and Carter are on this team I believe the toxic environment will continue. They seem to thrive on it.
Tspoon hired to clean up a mess - all she did was enhance the mess by adding her own mess - #1 rule for coaches - you can be friendly with your players - you don't become friends with your players
Reese is topix. You draft a player in the 3rd n not give her min. Then you draft Reese in the 7th rd n you play her more to get some fake rebounds. Rebounds don't win games team work does. You give the ball to a player who can't shoot is sad.
So many of these comments are ridiculous and clearly made by people who a were much too invested in the Clark Reese dynamic. I buy what these people are talking about - front office issues are her lack of experience. What was telling to me was the huge difference between the post-Olympic records of the Fever and the Sky. Both were young teams with very little Olympic participation. The Fever used that break to make a huge step forward. The Sky got worse.
The Fever’s season was front loaded with top teams. Their record reflected that. The Sky were very close to winning several games post-Olympic break, but then Chennedy’s illness and injuries to Cardoso, Reese, Deshields and then Chennedy again doomed them. And still they were one win away from the playoffs.
The fever have been rebuilding for over 4 years and are much more talented then the sky. The sky are only in thier first year. No one expected the sky to be good this year and people need to stop comparing the two teams. They are on two completely different schedules. It seems like everyone wants the sky to rush thier development in order to compete with the fever but that's not how this shit works
Wow, Tspoons firing was expected by anyone ever on a team who had a coach favoring a player who isn't playing for the team's success. Come on, she lost the locker room. Do you recall when her teammates wouldn't pass Reese the ball in garbage time while she was begging to get her stats up? Tspoon lacked character, and her conduct reflected that. How can you allow your players to cheer when Carter blind sides a competitor while staying waiting for play to begin. Really? No rebuke from the coach. Character determines conduct. Now Reese feels she's on an island and now decides she doesn't want to be a villain anymore. Good for her. You can only change what you acknowledge.
So it's obvious that you never seen a foul committed before the ball went into play. Or that somehow Coach T is a bad coach because a player made that foul. You're too damn sensitive to even have a rational opinion . Clark is a seasoned ball player. But you fan creeps keep trying to lift her up by attempting to exploit other good players as heaters of Clark. She doesn't want your racist energy. Look at her answers when asked those Bs questions. So keep you narrow minded limited aspirations out of the 20 plus years old Wnba and let those talented players play. Damn, white folks . Really!!!
Plenty of trolling in these comments. Good discussion. I found some of the experiences and Chicago Sky exit interviews upsetting. None of the players were upset with TSpoon though. It is clear that some are not clamoring to come back and will move on.

Nah, considering what she inherited as a team - she deserved at least 2 years to properly try to build something. While the vet guards were not buying into her game plans, that Chicago Sky front office should have never hired a FIRST TIME coach knowing that they had higher expectations.
Weatherspoon wasn't a coach. She enabled intolerable behavior and encouraged that unprofessional double double streak that cost the team a playoff spot. She never tried to lead, mold, and guide the team. Overall, the WNBA product is very unprofessional. Honestly, more WNBA coaches should be fired and let go. Witherspoon brought it on herself by walking out of post game interviews. There is absolutely no excuse for not answering a question or being polite about not answering it. Witherspoon has not succeeded at a coaching position; she is always being "Let Go".
Maybe the Sky’s top management fired the now former coach Teresa Witherspoon because her deplorable attitude became a liability in that it brought into the WNBA too much bad publicity because she encouraged, enabled, and took joy in the wild escapades of her two primary assaulters, Reese and Carter, further, possibly indicating the W’s attempt to clean up the game and excising the rotten fruit as a result of Clark’s bright light illuminating the W's traditional, but no longer sustainable, bad behavior. But losing Reese who missed her and other’s layups and but favored her making those rebound should have improved the team’s performance but it did not.
She got fired for lack of leadership - Things like, leaving AR in the game just so she can keep the fake DD game record going? Not answering post game questions and not holding the players accountable.
Sides left Clark in the game plenty. She averaged 37 to 38 minutes a game. How do you explain that? Clark grabbed a rebound with the last second ticking off with the game in hand to get her last triple double. Why was she still in the game? She’s padded her stats all year. She always has. Against Dallas she could have shot wide open jumpers but opted to go for the assist record instead. She sdmitted she was open. Of course they lost.
@@Barto-p4k ok I’ll explain, CC was in the games to try to win. The games against the LA Sparks is what you’re talking about (1 game), It was a close game and Fever won the game against the Sparks by 7 points. Yes - so what she got the last rebound. Starters from both teams were in the game. There were a few games where she could have gotten a TD easily, but was taken out of the game because it was in-hand. The Sky game you are referring to, they were getting blown out by Minnesota, with no chance of winning. The other team took their starters out of the game. AR had a horrible game but stayed in to get her DD. It’s clear she is the one stat padding - The Liberty didn’t allow it. Dream game, Sky up by 7 with 17 seconds to go, Sky don’t dribble out the clock, AR shoots the ball and gets fouled. Coach doesn’t know the priority, allows the players to run things. They're winning less games if Reese isn't on the floor. She's a great passer, on ball defender and gives her team second chance opportunities with her rebounding (offensively and defensively). Spoon cleaned house when she came in and added 8 new players. That was her team..and it flopped. Now a new coach will come in and do the same thing. The coach before spoon did the same thing. As long as ownership and management doesn’t change..the sky will continue to struggle.
I believe that all the coach`s that don`t keep their players in line from vicious technical fouls might be at risk. You have to insert professionalism and violent play is not one. Maybre wanted out and Reese was a cry baby. Violent fouls another.
She coached thug mentality. It is fair. She encouraged all kinds of crap. She lost games to pad ARs stats. How can you say all of this crap. I saw it coming. I was not shocked and I was relieved.
Coach Weatherspoon did as good a job as any first year coach could do Considering what all she had to deal with. Players, front office and ownership not used to having so much attention put on them because of a Superstar Rookie. That's something that no one in that organization has ever experienced. But Coach Weatherspoon handled it well. Mabrey and Evans disrupted that team because they couldn't handle all the attention Reese was getting. If Chicago brings Kurt Miller in, I hope Reese asks to be traded. Miller is a terrible coach. He had Zia on the bench for most of the season.
Question posed by this video: why was Weatherspoon fired. Unfortunately the 3 talking heads with an agenda don't answer their own question, I had to turn to the comments for the honest answer. ......Toxic culture
TSpoon cheered her players dirty play. TSpoon brought LOTS of negative attention to the team. TSpoon helped Reese to pad HER OWN stats, to the absolute detriment of the team. I absolutely understandcwhy the Sky fired her! She forgot the mission! That being said, the Sky ownership/front office is a clusterf*ck!
The team quit on Spoon and they tanked. It was pathetic how she favorited Reese and her double doubles over the team. That was horrible for morale. Also didn’t develop Cardozo who’s much better center than Reese. Also, laughed when her thug team took cheap shots at Clark.
@@bAkra60 1. Reese is not a center. Confirmation that the person doesn’t even watch the game. 2. Cardoso was injured at the beginning of the season, and had to work through the fear of getting reinjured, so she really couldn’t develop Cardoso to the full extent. If the double doubles were the problem, why wouldn’t the team win once Reese got injured?
@@bAkra60the dumb ass should be blaming Dana Evans who threw her coach under the bus, not Reese. When Reese got injured, Harrison who replaced had some double doubles too and played better than Cardozo who couldn't improve her game in Reese absence. But fools like to blame Reese for Cardozo lay back attitude
Why did I come to the comments where men are commenting on what’s needed to coach women. Male mentality is not what female professional athletes need. 🤦🏽♀️ There are several issues here. As you said J, if the Sky was looking for HC experience that it what they should have hired. Based on the trades they were making for draft picks that told me they were looking to rebuild YOUNG for the future. That is why TSpoon was chosen! She is a veteran player development coach. She worked with players to build skills at the pro level. And trading Mabry was one more step in that direction, to get more draft spots to acquire more talent!!! The GM role with the Sky has been historically bad. The Sky just pissed away their own plan. You don’t look to rebuild and fold in the first year. And let’s be clear, take away the injuries and you’ve got a very different outcome on the season. The Sky was picked 12th and finished 10th. By the Sky’s logic IN, Dallas, WA, PHX, Seattle, ATL coaches should all fired. J said it right, Chicago needs basketball minds making basketball decisions. Current front office is not basketball minded. Great that you figured out the facilities part of the business but having the right Coach is key.
If major players are requested to leave before was hired, the GM was hired after spoon and he pieces were traded without spoons, how is it on spoon? Gabby Williams alluded to this when Reese tried to recruit her… If you don’t remember, Reese said, “you can come play Here in Chicago“… Gabby responded, “they hurt me really bad… To then said, “but those people are gone now“… Then Gabby didn’t respond to that last statement. It seemed like she shifted… But now in retrospect, we realize that, perhaps the people who did hurt Gabby were not gone from the sky front office. Because Gabby then stated, “or you can come play somewhere else with me“… It was right there in front of our faces… Gabby was alluding to fungus that was among them
The discussion here seem to lead one to believe that if Reese did not get injured they had a shot at the plsyoffs !! GMFB ! They got worse in the 2nd half - not better - before Reese left.
These comments blaming this on a rookie who just came to the organization 4 months ago are stupid. The sky ownership and front office are CLEARLY the problem. Go look at the roster for the sky the past 2 years and notice how different it looked compared to this year. Go and listen to what the past players have been saying about the organization. The front office in Chicago straight up sucks! That’s why no free agents want to sign there.
T-Spoon also sabotaged the team dynamics for individual advancement. Leaving Reese in games so she could get her double/double is just insane. She absolutely should have prioritized team success, not individual award for Angel. Then Angel gets a stress fracture from playing when she should have been resting.
The assignment was to get the Sky into the playoffs. Agree, T Spoon didn’t have coaching skills but was hired anyway, even the players said T Spoon struggling to manage the team according to Ms Poe. Worst, T Spoon bent over backwards to appease AR to the detriment of the team, she did no better but worse than the previous Sky coaches. She had two of the top ten recruits in AR & KC plus Chennedy and Mabrey (before Mabrey escaped the madness) & T Spoon couldn’t coach the team into the playoffs. Seems she was more of a friend than a coach but it’s a biz not a family, so out she goes. Bet the next coach won’t play the favorites game😜
Weatherspoon was in a very difficult situation. It was her first pro head coaching position, and she walked into a difficult situation. I wish her well in whatever she does next.
Plenty of players would want to play there. Great young players, great city. And I agree with the local reporter. Maybe the Sky should hire Curt Miller.
That Mid-Season Chicago Sky's of their Hot-Shot & "deadly" 3-Pt Shooter Mabry "doomed" her. I called it at the time. By the way, "Mabry" is still paying with Seattle Storm. Sky had 3 Stars: Copper -> (Key Player who "won" the Olympics for TeamUSA Women in Olympics Finals, Maureen Mabry - "3-pt Markswoman,Traded Mid-Season to Playoff Semi-Finalist Storm, and Angela Reese (Team's 1st Round Draft Pick). After the Mabry trade, they were done, as I called it at the time. Imo, they overworked Reese as their best option to make their playoff-push because there were "no other Options". Let's see how they fare next year with a new HC. In my opinion, they will perform worse than this year - and they can't blame it on all the players that will likely loose and better "prospects " who won't be interested in coming, because of this quick-trigger on T-Spoon. Sky's Mgmt now MUST own "this mess" - IMO.
TSpoon needs to go to the LA Sparks. She belongs as a HC in the W. It’s infuriating that the Sky recruited her FROM THE NBA and fire her in less than a year. Completely unfair. It’s so blatantly obvious that it’s the management and front office making these horrible mistakes.
The coach sets the tone and expectations of the players conduct on the court And develops a scheme that maximizes the teams ability to win Witherspoon loss control of the players early and it went downhill from there
@@TheCollierjrwhat's wrong with Sides other than she can't manage a bench, doesn't know when to call a timeout, doesn't stick up for her players, can't draw up a play and doesn't seem to have any idea how to fix a defence that's been broken all year, but she's probably cheap. 🤔
The Sky have had 4 coaches in the last 5 years. Stop blaming players and Reese. There is something wrong with the front office. Coaches need more than a year to rebuild.

Carter then committed a very hard foul on Mabry. Team out of control under her watch.
Except for Chennedy, who is erratic, they traded away their two best players. The culture that was created was part of the problem. The players did not act like professionals.
Totally agree. The team's personality may be a fit with the Bears and Blacthanks of the past, but it's not what I want to watch as a new WNBA fan
The man in this video asks a question of the others, but then proceeds to speak on end about what he thinks. When you ask a question, GIVE OTHERS THE CHANCE TO ANSWER IT.
They use Spoon to get Angel, Kamilla, and the practice facility.
I believe this
Part of the reason she was fired was due to chaotic situations. 1) good player in mabrey wanting out. 2) focusing on stat chasing over winning. 3) terrible offensive scheme. 4) too much attention to Caitlin clark.
ADD: No defense
and too much attention to Angel.
She was setup and they were not fighting.
@@patriceturner5061 Then she wasn't capable to see it coming. A huge character flaw.
The podcast was filmed over a week ago.
Swoopes was also asked if she’d want to coach on the Sky on twitter and she said hell no. So stop.
AR Barbie is a $3 bill on two feet… she’s a fake, fraud and phony. “I’ve gone thru so much”😅😢😢😢😁😭😭😭
Swoope won’t do no better. Some of these coaches show favorite. Swoop good 🏀 baller, but not necessary a coach material 😊
Almost like Lebron and his new Coach
I don’t understand the panel’s reluctance to mention the obvious: -the toxic culture pushed Mabrey out
-letting Angel chase stats in late game garbage time
-selecting Angel to shoot technicals over their better shooters.
The last two definitely caused some friction on the bench and in the locker room which
Contributed to their toxic situation.

The players ran her.
Shocked? I wasn't. The sky is a mess. Why wouldn't they fire the coach. Sparks firing couch surprised me.
They were already a mess. Why would anyone want to coach there?

Money talks...now a days it screams!!! I believe there a change coming
(As for Witherspoon walking into a mess, that may be true, but she made it worse by not disciplining Chennedy Carter because she had a bad childhood (or whatever she meant when she said you all don’t know what I’ve been through. ).
Lmao.. stupid new fans
Tspoon thinks she's still playing
Swoopes and TSpoon are great friends. She dragged the owners on her podcast. She would never. They also aren’t going to get anyone who hasn’t coached before.
Did she walk out of 1 press conference - making generalizations when they are not there.
That’s not what happened. 😂 Did you listen to this at all?
Sky fans will never admit AR was part of why Spoon got fired. Even a blind man can see the offense should have been run through Camilla. Weatherspoon just never held her players accountable for their behavior on the court....plain and simple.
There is a lot coaches have to should... Coach Spoon wasn't it. Whether she was given the right tooks or not. Sometimes ppl give us ish in both our hands!

From watching the games against C.C., coaches around the league have been allowing their players to act and play like gangsters. CC is the gangster. She has a bad temper and flops to get attention. She won't get a pass next season.
Carter should of been fired.
No they are just racist people.
And, the team only had 2 games with every player 'healthy'.
Also the GM didnt hired her the ownership did so the GM didn't like how she was running the team
I'm glad you guys provided an objective perspective! It was definitely unfair and the leadership is REALLY questionable!
Thank you !! Even Stevie wonder could see it all unravel one game at a time
So it's obvious that you never seen a foul committed before the ball went into play. The Carter hit on Clark early season set the tone of unacceptable behavior. TW supported it and she went downhill from there. Special treatment of Reese was bad too.
The Sky made the right decision to dump her. Will they hire toxic Swoops ? Sounds like it’s their pattern. It would be a big mistake. Hire a classy coach and they’ll be a playoff team.

"...a rookie season where Angel Reese stat-padded and layup-bricked the Sky to nearly flirt with a .500 record before collapsing, a year where undisciplined players played in an undisciplined manner which is totally ownerships' fault..."
Hate to be harsh, although we should sympathize with the difficult task of having to explain this disaster while avoiding even a hint of finding any fault with any player. That's a tough thing to do. Not so much for real journalists, who might assign blame, break some eggs, ruffle some feathers. But that's not what 2024 "sports journalists are asked to do.
Of course they lost.

ok I’ll explain, CC was in the games to try to win.
That’s why she got fired, and AR stat padding for a stupid double double even when they losing late in the 4Q 😂
