In India, or I did say especially south India, we shop only when needed ( again this applies to only average middle class families only ). We give for the most part little care to fashion. And use our clothes for minimum of one year. And we donate it to our younger cousins or to our locally available watchmen or housemaids. Almost 80% of my wardrobe, consists of clothes that were tranferred to me by my elder siblings or cousins. The main problem is not population which many correlate to the logic that more quantity means more wastage, indeed its reverse. Most of the production in my hypothesis happens only for the top layer of customers, who can afford to change clothes every month or 15 days.

Their a great concept in Indore called 'Neki ki Deewar'. You can donate anything which is not useful for you but can be a useful asset for someone. People can donate their clothes, shoes, blankets etc. The needy person do not have to beg from you they can take whatever they like from the wall
Fast fashion has creeped into middle class Indian house holds as well. Shopping as per ocassion for e.g. marriages of relatives, friends even colleagues is slowly becoming a trend even with people having even limited disposable income.
Our family is donating clothes to Goonj for years now ❤ luckily born in middle class atmosphere teaches you the importance of little things, basic things and how do you measure the quality of life by incorporating simple lifestyle and choices. Kudos to you both for yet again creating an amazing video to create awareness of the disaster that's our world is upto which was not coming odlr visible on the surface but after watching this video, I'm sure this is gonna be an eye-opener for many.!! This video needs be shared as mch as it can, and all across the world tbh. Creating awareness on not mch talked about but something than cn create havoc in future is crucial. Perfect Video on time! I was continuously thinking since many days that the fashion trends r changing so quickly. People too without thinking rationally keep on buying such clothes in the name of fashion. Thank you for bringing this topic into light. ❤❤
Great message... this is a great effort done by both of you...i am in support of you ❤️

Very well researched and in depth case study !! Would like to know more about the truth of other industries and sectors :)
Nice research nd information. Doing great effort. Inspiring
I like the video because of the idea of clothes donation and reuse. Keep it up guys👏👏👏
Thanks for stating-that-we should incorporate "repeat culture" seemlessly with regards to all our clothes and to donate the ones that no longer fits our wardrobe to the needy. Thanks again for releasing great content ❤ can see the effort ❤💯
Hello both of you. You guys really work hard to get the truth based videos. Government should put limit on water usage n strict actions should be taken against such branded firms.
Your efforts are appreciable ❤
you both are really providing so big insights to us which we would not know easily , big thanks to both of you for putting constant efforts.
I had bought a floral shirt when I was in 6th standard and it was loose and after 6 years I am still wearing it today and now it fits me perfectly.I dont like fashion that much ,old loose clothes is my vibe.
I am wearing my grandfather's sweater which was worn by my father too. My mother altered it for my size.😂
One of the best research done by you....great
It felt, when abhi said it saved 27000 litre of waters.
Hatts Off them for this amazing work ❤❤
I wanted to express my gratitude for the impressive awareness video you shared. The content was impactful, and it has certainly heightened my awareness about conscious shopping. I appreciate the effort put into creating content that encourages mindful consumer choices. I am committed to shopping more consciously and making informed decisions that align with sustainable and ethical practices. Thank you for contributing to a cause that promotes positive change ❤ .
Extremely good video and we need such measures to make the Earth better place for our next generation. Appreciate ur videos and content. Needs more advertising on these kind of things for sure.
This topic was so unxpected..never thought of something like that can be such a big problem.
Hello
I am 29years old,and I still wear my college days clothes, cause it fits me really well.
Thank you Abhi and Nitu for making this content...❤
Meri mummy to bolti h ki tum bikhari h kya purana kapda pahn raha h
Very good girl you are doing a nice work
@@slayer_142Tell your mother that those people who wear same cloth repetitively for years are not beggars but good people and those people who don't do that are the destroyers of environment and planet
This video is eyes opener.... Thanks to both of you guys🎉
Simplicity is also a fashion but everybody can't afford it.
le me wearing the same tshirt since 3 years😎...and as you discussed about donation we Indians are doing that from a long time and yes we are using old clothes in different ways...Proud to be Indian...sure we get attracted towards the western cultures but the blood flowing is from the soil of BHARAT...AND NEVER EVER GONNA FOLLOW THEIR tradition...JAI HIND
This video is absolutely correct
And nowadays brands are coming up with sustainable fabrics!
TBH middle class boys are the saviours of environment as per this video me myself has been using clothes since the last 4-5 yrs 😂😂
😚🙌🏻
Same with the some middle class girls
Middle class girl here😂🤟
Problem is girls have a lot of pressure for wearing versatile clothes but idfc
@@MS-qf4je not all middle class girls have pressure for wearing versatile clothes because everyone girl can't afford to buy so many clothes.
😂😂 2023 me underware chodke kuch nahi liya .
The shirt 👕
I m wearing now
Is approx. 3-4 year old 😂😂😂😂
And I will use it for 1 year more 😅😮
Mere pass toh kafi purane kpde hain. Aur abhi bhi acchi conditions me hain kyuki me direct sunlight, direct heat press & hard washing powder in sb se safe rkhta hu
A great video which has backed up my thought process and my voice all the time. Previously we used to buy new clothes just for festivals. However if a we have monday to friday sale, it makes people go crazy. Luckily this video really talks about the carbon footprint, that happens from this senseless buying. Planned obsolescence of clothes is more dangerous than the mobile ones.
Thank you so much making this video. I never thought clothes could be the reason behind environmental damage. 🙏🏽
Thankfully in India, most people either reuse them or just give them to those who need it the most instead of behaving like these MNCs. ✅
I am sure that this is not a problem for an average Indian family where every garment is given justice by using it for minimum 2yrs...Anyways, a great video with an impactful message for the youth to not get influenced by so called fashion influencers and stick to what our moms have been telling us for years.
Tum 1 hafte m kitni baar dress change karti ho 🤣 jhut mat bolna m to ak hafte tak same t shirt pahnta hu because m kapda nhi dhota hu
I use for 10 years .
Do not wash clothes for 1 week
“Bahar se sundar dikhne k lie hum andar se barbaad ho rhe h” 👏
Love you guys. ❤ आप की ऐसे टॉपिक पे वीडियो से बोहोत लोगो को फर्क पड़ता है। अच्छा काम करते रहिए।👌👍🙏🇮🇳
I love your videos because you not only let us know the problem but also give us the solution ❤
Keep it up Sir & Ma'am ❤
Being a person with very sensitive skin i always buy sustainable cotton clothes which are long lasting & yes at the end I get bored by wearing it for long time so I donate my clothes....
But i always wanted to wear varieties of dresses with different materials as well...
After watching your video finally I am good that I am not polluting our Environment with silly decisions ❤❤
i bet we all BOYS are already doing their input in this solution by using same jeans & tshirt for 4 years !!
Nahi aisa nahi hai!!
nope , if u think that then u are wrong….
5 saal se 2 jeans use kar Raha hu😂
Bhai mai to papa ka shirt pehen ke baitha hu 2 din se 🤣
