Man this was an Amazing movie!!! And such so an amazing soundtrack!! Just love the feel to this song, its Marvelous!!!
Foxy Cinnabon I liked it as well. I saw it Tuesday night and I loved it unfortunately I was the only person in that theater! I hope people will see it and the film had so many opportunities to fall into the clichés of other films, but it didn’t. For example I like that the two didn’t end up together and went their separate ways.
@@jamesmoyner7499 yeah! Even when I went, not too many people showed up, but people were laughing and having a great time! I also hope more people come and see this movie. Definitely buying the Blu ray for this when it releases on store

bruhber Wow, I guess it shows that people in other countries will have a better appreciation for the Arts and Animation than the United States ever will. I mean look at Japan their highest grossing films are animated “Spirited Away” at 1 then at 3 and 4 it’s “Frozen” and “Your Name”!
In an age where computer-animation has taken over the box-office, it’s nice to see studios like Laika prove that stop-motion animation can still be a visually spectacular work of art! Keep up the good work, Laika 👏🏻👍🏻

Art Fun with Blake yeah unfortunately it was a major flop at the box office, but that’s really the audiences’ fault: most people don’t really appreciate stop motion as they do for computer animation these days 🤷🏻♂️

This movie is just a pleasant little gem. It’s like when I watch Wallace And Gromit. I sincerely hope Laika starts getting the critical praise they deserve. We fans and viewers love them but why don’t the critics like them?
Actually, critics do but box-office and critics aren't the same thing unfortunately. But I think this movie won a Golden Globe or something. Maybe I'm wrong.
All of Laika's have gotten critical acclaim and award nominations, and even some wins. It's just the box office numbers aren't super huge. They usually make money or at the very least break even, Missing Link is the only one of Laika's films that has lost money. Link also has the largest budget of any of Laika's films so far because of just how big it is, and Mr. Link/Susan himself being labeled as the most advanced stop-motion puppet ever created thus far.
I’m hoping Laika will an Oscar some year.
Most critics actually agree that the movie was good, the box office is unfortunately the thing that made the movie fail.

Also, I sort of would of liked her to be with Lionel but not at the same time. If she didn't already have a husband, and probably, if she also didn't have that stubborn heroine personality in her, she would of gone off with Lionel at the end of the movie and not reject him in the very "light" way she did....
Besides, Lionel did really like ( my mistake, love) her during the movie and I could OBVIOUSLY tell that he was jealous of her late husband and kinda, through out the movie, tryed to charm her but did not at all succeed!
So.... Yeah, that's my view over their relationship...
(+ I admit I ship them and there I said it!)

This film is incredibly under appreciated. It’s now my favourite Laika film, overtaking Kubo. I just love the chum relationship between Sir Frost and Mr Link. Fantastic film!

I love EVERY thing about this movie. Story is wonderful and smack dab in the middle of that age of exploration. The level of artistry, costumes, sets is beyond Academy Award recognition. Voice acting tip top. The soundtrack and this end credits song are simply bursting with radiant joy and happiness. It put me in a great, great mood. Would see it again and again. You won't be disappointed. Kudos to all the Laika family!

This song reminds me of "You Got A Freind In Me" in that it's a fun, happy song about friendship from a funny, fun and happy animated movie.
Fine, one's CGI and destined to be remembered for a long time while the other's mostly stop motion and might-hopefully not, but might-be overlooked in the future, but I think my point still stands.
I really liked the movie because I thought it had great comedy, characters and animation but didn't think it was very emotional.
It's one of those movies that had creators that said "we could try to do more, but you know what? Let's just have fun!" and I really liked the movie on that level. It's not Pixar classic quality, but not even all Pixar movies are that great.
The movie's an 9/10 for me.

This film deserved better honestly. It was a box office disaster but the movie itself wasn’t bad at all. It wasn’t revolutionary, but it was an enjoyable feel good movie made by LAIKA, one of the best animation studios in existence.

Laika is the only animation studio that doesn't make sequels. I remember when Pixar used to have that rule (minus the Toy Story sequels) but not anymore. Almost every Pixar movie is slated to have a sequel now.
