I would use this recipe with brown or green lentils. But I have the perfect recipe to put the red lentils into great use:

hello, i hope u still respond but i have a question i saw a lot of people use tamr hind with the soup? is that neccessary? and if i wanna use it in what step do i have to add the tamr hind?

Hello. It is not necessary. People use it to give it a tangy flavor. I used pomegranate molasses instead. So you can add it instead of the pomegranate molasses.
