Yes, because locking someone up is sooo helpful for society. The funny thing is who for example in Canada when the feminist movement began to gain traction, and female judges were apointed to take women's criminal cases, unlike the men who used to conmute the death penalty on women, they instead made sure of having those women executed.
Also worth mentioning that a lot of women in prison are there for killing their s/o after domestic violence, typically after years of Battered women's syndrome They aren't considered threats to society at large.
aaand i doubt that this is true. it probably isnt, because the statistics show that half of the abusers are female (49.6%) so uh... nuh uh. also if thats the case then i could say that most men in prisons are the ones who killed their s/o after being abused for years. i wouldnt be entirely right but i wouldnt be fully wrong either.
Well, at 8:16 is a reference to the movie “ the green mile“. i remember seeing that old dark colored 200 year old guy being happy about his execution because of all the pain he had felt. it is worth to mention the film id based on 1950-1970 or when they used electic chairs for execution. it is heart breaking to see a good guy being innocent and getting killed and enjoying the freedom of death. even the guards cried because he was a good guy. and since america was racist at that time they couldn‘t do anything to free him. well, all the bad people had been punished by that point luckily and i really recommend watching the movie. i enjoyed it and hat to cry simply because of how sad and heartwarming the message behind the movie is.
In my Opinion, the thing wrong here is the punishment itself. A lifetime of prison is more punishing and leaves space for possibilities to clear up Missunterstandings if there were any
One thing that does not change no matter the gender is the fact that death row only brings more suffering, does not revive any of the victims and brings serious critics to every country that allows it, truly disgusting and immature.
As a progressive, I think we need to abolish executions completely. Its barbaric and European countries that don't even have executions even have less crime than the US.
One thing I don't like about society is that people are sexiest to give female more lingerent and praised, I have seen this in school art work events and the female can get off scot free for a crime they did, yet if male did the crime he can get severely punished.
Human rights organizations need to be considerate of a lot; but the justice system needs to be aware that crime is equal on all levels: not just the law based levels. If you commit the crime; you don't deserve leniency for killing someone. I have heard one too many stories of women killing their children and being allowed to walk free from it. As far as I'm concerned; human rights needs to make sure that death row sentences are shortened to less than 20 years; cut down to maybe a month, so the prisoners have far less time on the block, women need to be treated fairly and equally to men while in prison and awaiting their trials and punishments: and the judicial system needs to factor out gender; because its not a fair system when a woman commits a heinous crime and she gets to walk free, but a man doesn't get the same leniency. Again there are a lot of stories I have heard of absolutely evil women killing others and getting away with it because the jury saw woman; rather than seeing lethal killer. I hate saying it like that; but justice accounts in all balances, gender should not be a factor in the judicial system
What’s with the infographics show’s obsession with the death penalty. This is like their 20th video on the topic. I’m not complaining or anything I’m just saying 😂
So with the kid taken from his mother. His mother did something so heinous that it was worthy of the death penalty. Do you really want a child around someone like that? Males and females are different. Well that's a controversial opinion these days So basically men make up most death row inmates and women are most affected? Also you say men spend less time on death row. So to me that means more men are executed just in general than women are and that also means that they get less appeals than women do
So we've established that women get more lenient sentencing and are much less likely to get sentenced to death, yet somehow we need to focus on how they're the victims of this system and we need to help them?
I think its both in different vines, like to fix both. Even of they are horrible people, we should not let them be tortured and made mire miserable than they have to be. Though still making the justice fair.
@@monsterberger7728 Yeah. 'Justice Fair' Woman = Less Man = More Biological differences shouldn't alter the same sentence given to the same crime, period. This was set before something like this even occured like a rule, but people act like it is something they can bend.

I personally think that people should suffer if the commit particularly heinous crimes. I don't think they should be assaulted or starved, but by God if they suffer through solitary confinement as a punishment for killing multiple people that's fine by me. The death penalty violates the 8th amendment which prohibits cruel and unusual punishment. While the idea behind the main method of execution, lethal injection, is to enable someone to die peacefully, this isn't always the case because a lot of things can go wrong leading to pain, vomiting and convulsions. As for the electric chair, don't get me started. Being electrocuted is extremely painful and messy so it's one of most worst ways to die I can think of. When I studied the death penalty in school and had to rank the methods of execution around the world with the worst at the top, I put the electric chair at the top with lethal injection as a close second.
No, Lethal Gas is absolutely the worst, followed by Lethal Injection, the electric chair is no picnic, but probably better if less palatable to witnesses. The most effective and humane available method is firing squad, or a bullet to the brainstem, followed by nitrogen asphyxiation.
i imagine it's very very rare, but i think it's a necessary point for countries that go through the system quicker, but also in case a woman does get pregnant just before their death date, which can happen and i'm sure it's obvious how
In this video Infographics just said fetuses are life, there are distinct differences between men and women and women generally receive bias in their favor.
First of all, nobody should feel any pity for women that are put on death row regardless of if they’re pregnant or not, because they made the choice to commit the crime.(this only applies to women that actually have committed a crime
Why should we care if people on death row go through a tragic experience? I guarantee when he or she committed the crime they didn't care if the person or family they harmed had a tragic experience.
We are better than criminals we kills them for a reason not over a phone or over a wallet. Second between being wrongly executed or kept in prison 40 years weongfully i dont what is bettee?

Yes, because locking someone up is sooo helpful for society.

Thanks for the info

Yo here in Canada we have no death penalty
The most effective and humane available method is firing squad, or a bullet to the brainstem, followed by nitrogen asphyxiation.
being pregnant is a moot point as most death sentences take 15-20 years before carried out
i imagine it's very very rare, but i think it's a necessary point for countries that go through the system quicker, but also in case a woman does get pregnant just before their death date, which can happen and i'm sure it's obvious how
In this video Infographics just said fetuses are life, there are distinct differences between men and women and women generally receive bias in their favor.
First of all, nobody should feel any pity for women that are put on death row regardless of if they’re pregnant or not, because they made the choice to commit the crime.(this only applies to women that actually have committed a crime
Step one: just don’t get put on death row
Why should we care if people on death row go through a tragic experience? I guarantee when he or she committed the crime they didn't care if the person or family they harmed had a tragic experience.
I agree 100%
Probably because everyone has a right to a fair trial and to not receive cruel and unusual punishment.
1) We should be better than the criminal
2) I guess you missed the part where it was mentioned that not everyone convicted was guilty.
We are better than criminals we kills them for a reason not over a phone or over a wallet. Second between being wrongly executed or kept in prison 40 years weongfully i dont what is bettee?
