The beginning was the closest most detailed spifface I’ve ever seen had to pause and stare like how you see quagmire front facing, you never see spiff front facing. Mixed emotions

i love how good-natured he is about speedrunning/getting records. if someone beats his time he takes it as a good thing; it's both an inspiration for him to improve his own run, as well as encouragement for the broader gaming community. he's very community-oriented and humble and it's refreshing to see such a down-to-earth and genuine content creator on the platform
ok props to spiff for actually making an affordable merch store. Maybe it's just because he's still a growing (rapidly!) creator, but those are some of the most fairly priced, if not cheap, merch I have ever seen. will definitely buy.
And the good thing is nothing will be limited
Maybe this is a shot in the dark, but I think most peoples Merch is really expensive because they use smaller businesses, and businesses that have ethical buying, better quality fabrics, etc.

despite the amount of rage-inducing moments he’s experienced, i’ve never seen spiff get mad. like he’ll get comically irritated, but you can tell he’s having fun and understands that failure is part of the experience, but not to the point that he loses his confidence in himself. ik i would’ve lost my mind doing some of these challenges, but even watching him do it feels relaxing bc of how chill he is about it. props to you man
I REALLY appreciate you showing the fumbling and learning process of you referencing maps and stuff. I feel like a lot of new speed runners see the slickly edited videos and get discouraged because they're doing so much worse and have a slow first few runs.

Oh hey, the giant moth you see in that giant killer moth level is actually a Death's Head Hawk Moth, one of (if not the) only moth(s) that squeak or make any other kind of vocal noise! Their squeaks are very cute, in my opinion.

About the Doors update, there is actually a secret room you can get to after door 50 which, if entered, transports you to a secret mode. The mode is 1000 doors long and has different enemies + it’s styled after the game that Doors is inspired by. It’s pretty easy to find guides on how to get to it on RUclips, and I think it would be a neat challenge!
What doors was inspired by? Spooky's jumpscare mansion?

you go through a bunch of rooms and there are a few monsters which will try to get you and you have to do specific things to not have them attack you much like doors
tbf that game was probably inspired by spooky's itself but if you look at rooms gameplay youll see that it and doors are VERY similar, just with different settings and monsters

There are a lot of myths surrounding sleepwalkers, since people have been afraid of them for centuries. You can wake them, though they may be disoriented and potentially have a fight or flight response and lash out. It is best to gently guide them to a safe place or back to bed.

I’ve been watching spiff for a long while now and never looked at his sub count and was genuinely surprised that he hasn’t hit 1 million yet with how fun his videos are to watch I can watch a 2 hr spiff video without even realizing I’ve been watching for that long
I usually play Spiff vids in the background while I'm playing a game myself or doing some work.
That goddamn jump skip at the start of the runs managed to jumpscare me everytime it happened and made me stop what I was doing and look at what he was even doing lol.

My whole family are sleep walkers and have some pretty hilarious situations and story's, though my niece seems to scare the shit out of me most times she does sleep walk.
She makes no sound, looks like she's possessed and no shit in my ancient ass house when she stays round having a 4ft 6 stare at you from a long ass hallway only to sprint at full force at you gets me 70% of the time and I get knocked over because I'm disabled af.
Got labeled as a weird uncle who lays on the floor at night until it was later explained by my brother on why I was on the floor looking scared lmao she's never looked so guilty before gave me a laugh.

Congratulations on everything going on in your life today spiff, and congrats on the world record (even though it was for just a few hours)
Some backrooms things that no one cares about: the stuff you drink isn't coconut water, its actually almond water, something extremely important as it helps with sanity and is the only drinkable liquid in the backrooms (most things like random water is questionable at best, and will probably kill you). Almond water stops the wretched cycle, where someone stops being human and becomes a backrooms entity themselves. Another thing is that the big moths are actually female death moths, and the smaller ones are probably the male death moths, and the females are massive and can kill you, where the males are basically harmless. Also, the "end" of the game isn't actually you escaping the backrooms, it's another level, i think level 7 but not sure :)
I miss when the back rooms was just a creepy liminal space and not filled with mspaint monsters

Actually there is no reason not to wake someone up while sleepwalking. Although most of the time it is best to just lead the sleepwalker to bed (due to potential grogginess making it harder to walk to bed) there are some cases where you might not have a choice, in which case you should just wake them up as nothing bad will happen to the person if you do.
This game is a hell of a lot longer than I thought it was
It’ll be even longer as more updates roll out with more levels and sub levels.
never expected spiff to speedrun the indie coop horror game of all time, but here we are. you should definitely look into speedrunning the game again after the next update releases!

Doors has 100 more doors in development via “floor 2” which will have different designs and spooky guys but they wanted to get out an update (doors+) maybe for player retention maybe because they weren’t happy with floor 1 as it was. Anyway, there will be Mordor

Hey spiff have you heard of the fangame titled Ultra Custom Night? Its a version of Ultimate Custom Night with over 700 animatronics, a fully fledged campaign mode loosely based on FNaF World, and a bunch of dumb easter eggs and secrets to find. It seems like a game you’d quite like given how much you enjoy torturing yourself with brutally hard challenges.
