Never really been into Mercedes but as I've spent the last few months researching which car to get next, the AR sat nav really stands out and pushes me towards getting one. Probably the best sat nav in any car at the moment.
Yeah they have some great technology built into them and i think the MBUX (Mercedes Benz User Experience) is the best on the market.
The lighting is also very good on them and is something along with the MBUX that I will be showing in more detail in some upcoming videos.

I have just ordered the new facelift E class cabriolet Premium Plus Night edition with the latest MBUX technology on two 12 1/2 inch screens and I’m really looking forward to the augmented satnav. I have a feeling that MBUX is going to blow CarPlay out of the water
Yeah MBUX is really good,probably the best out there.
What you think of technicolor expert preset on lg oled? What 12+ tv series do you recommend on netflix?
I find the augmented turn off aid is often very last second! just had mbux update after putting car in for 12v society failure, now have dash cam option in Mercedes Me app at £200 lol and you've still to supply your own storage device
I purchased the dash cam app a few days after it was available and got a tiny USB drive and USB-A to USB-C cable for a very tidy instal.
The quality of the footage isn't the best mind,but it is better than nothing is suppose.
I will be posting a video about it showing day,night driving,asnwering questions and giving links to the drive and cable.
For what it is worth,we had an update done on the MBUX and the system has not be right since.Voice comments now get messed up,it struggles to hear us,it is slower to repond to commands.Basically it is now crap compared to how it was.
@@TheTechGiantRUclips I found that in way home testing it out, the voice send to have changed a bit too? ask it to do something, then as little while later ask it to do something else then it gets missed up like it's carrying on from previous question but you've asked something else

Yes you can mate.
It was recently added as an option that you can buy for £200 in the UK,and I have purchased it myself.
I plan on posting up a video demonstrating it in a number of lighting conditions,telling the pros and cons,and just generally showing how it works.
Hi I enjoyed your demo very much, but how can I edit saved destinations, such as renaming them in the new 2020 sat nav? I could do this easily in my 2018 GLC, but cant see how in the AMG 43 GLC ? any help would be great thank you.

I love this on my CLA but really miss the Dash CAM app it had for a week before they remotely deleted it.
It’s daft Mercedes UK can’t be bothered to adapt the app for uk when it is such an important aid for so many drivers.
Funny enough i noticed a setting for dash cam,but when I click on it it says something like not available.
Shame really as I would have paid extra to have that feature.
The Tech Giant I had one of the first of the new CLA’s and in the literature it stated dash cam included. 1 week before delivery the dealer told me it was a mistake and refunded £100 to compensate.
When I discovered the app I plugged in a usb stick and it worked brilliantly, but the speed was in kph and I think that’s the issue, Mercedes uk can’t be bothered to re-write the app to support mph.
BTW, I kept the recordings and showed the dealer. I still have a moan about it every time I see them.
Other than that, MBUX is fantastic and I love how long pressing the steering wheel voice control allows full control of Siri on my iPhone (Apple Music etc), no need to plug in and use car play.

I have figured out a few things by button bashing but I'm sure there is plenty that I haven't figured out yet.
Have you got the multibeam headlights? they are pretty impressive.
The Tech Giant by all means use it and gave a moan about the dash cam too (maybe someone from Mercedes uk will be watching).
Just remember, for Siri to work the Bluetooth must be connected and then you can ask MBUX for car functions and jump back to iPhone with “Mercedes, connect Bluetooth” (I never say “Hey” ).
Also, when you long press the voice button, the Siri chime takes a second or two to respond.
The headlights were the only reason I went for the Premium Plus edition, although the sunroof is nice too. They are absolutely brilliant.
@@norman-king Mercedes do some very odd things when it comes to features,such as the A35 comes with heads up display,yet my top of the range A45S Plus doesn't and there is no option to add it at all,yet other parts of the world the A45S gets it.
Most other parts of the world get what they call an edition 1 version of the A45S,but AGAIN,not the UK.

Just do something that you have a passion for and make sure you show that passion on camera,people like to see others who have a genuine interest in something.
Don't get too hung up on the quality of the video,the content is the most important thing.
Try and cover things that others don't,think outside of the box.
Think about what you would like to see in a video if you were a viewer.
Try and upload regular,at least once a week to keep your subscribers happy.

Paul, I have a question for you. Does your A45 come with wireless charging mat? If so then it situated in front of the cup holder and what size phones can it accommodate. Cheers
Yes mate it does come with a wireless charging mat which is indeed located in front of the cup holders.
I own a 6.9 inch Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with a very thick case fitted to it and it has no problems fitting into the charging space.

Yeah i have never understood why people park potentially the second most expensive purchase outside and yet put all the worthless crap in the safety of a garage lol

Does the augmented reality display work on only the centre screen or also on the drivers dashboard where you were able to switch to a mini version of the navigation. Does the augmented reality work on that screen aswell?
No it only works on the main central screen.
@@TheTechGiantRUclips ahh would of been great if they made it on the dashboard as well i mean whilst driving and following navigation your most likely to use the main dash

i've got a new AMG CLA35 with MBUX, but can't see how you even get the option to turn AR on? the "AR' logo doesn't even appear on my screen. Any ideas?
I'm not sure that the A35 comes with it.
Next thing will be to display that directly onto the windscreen as a HUD. Pity I will never be able to afford the car!

King Cheems you are probably not a car person so you will never understand people who like cars but I honestly couldn’t care less about the CO2 that cars produce and I will always like cars with big V8 engines that pollute the environment like there is no tomorrow to piss off stupid environmentalists 🙂
Not what i want. What i do want is the display of directions on the windscreen. Where the systee draws a line on the street instead of a on display. In that way I would not have to look at a display but could keep my eyes on the road. Much safer. pitty.
The new S Class does exactly that.

Built in dashcam is awful it sucksss £200 for 720p30 low resolution recording. And it doesn't automatically record when you start stop the merc.
Yeah i paid for the dashcam feature on ours when it first came out, and yes it is a bit of a potato camera.
The fact it doesn't automatically start is a paid in the backside. I seem to always remember to turn it on at the start of a journey, but if i stop for fuel or pretty much anything else, i forget to turn it back on again,well until some tool cuts me up and then the penny drops that i've not got it on camera.

@@TheTechGiantRUclips it supports 1080p and even 1440p recording so twice the resolution of the trash built in merc one. reversing camera is great on the merc tho super high res
Is this car manual or automatic?
Well it's not technically a automatic as it is a twin clutch and doesn't have a torque converter.
But in simple terms,yes it is automatic and does not have a manual gear stick,and it changes gears itself,but you can control it with the paddles if you you'd rather have control over the gears.
