I would say, bottom 20% (20th percentile) distance for scratch golfer is about 240 yards
and the the top 10% (90th percentile) for a 20 HCP is the same, about 240 yards

What lie angle do you prefer on your seven iron? I ask because your size, setup, and swing are similar to mine.

My true specs are 63 degree lie at 37.25" in length 👍 (this is for a 7 iron)

My hips early extend slightly in the downswing so any gap is reduced so my hands don't lower any further, plus with shaft droop the toe bends down quite a bit... Its just the 2 centre of gravities trying to meet, happens more and more the faster you go 👍🏻

Hi William, just to let you know that i have deleted your answer to the latest question due to you referencing a possible source for your answer. Obviously this may cause golfers to be directed or mislead to the right/wrong answer. So if you could rewrite it without naming a source reference that would be great 👍🏻
Also to answer your further question, it is for the 12 HCP golfer to shoot 12 under, so to shoot Par for the course... What yardage would each Par 3.4 and 5 have to be for them to get the ball in the hole in 3,4 and 5 every time 👍🏻
