She's a anti-Hero like Catwoman. She does good but she also does bad lol except Theresa is thinking of the greater good. She's an idol of mine... she suffered a lot but did not become completely evil and suffered so much for her choices. For centuries she carried the burden of the world and made difficult choices we might not have been able to make.
It never occurred to me she was behind the heroes’ circumstances that led them to joining Sparrow..... I love Theresa but..... she certainly operates in a morally gray area. Lies, half-truths, secrets, outright conspiracy. She may have Hero blood, but she walks a fine line between good and evil alignment. I wonder if it was all worth it.
I learned SO MUCH researching this video and putting her actions in chronological order. She was behind the scenes of all of the major events, it's crazy.
Knowing what Theresa has done, I’m wondering if the best choice was to kill her at the end of Fable 1. Based on what was presented in these two videos, the reconstruction of the Spire brought about great pain, misery and devastation to Albion as well as Aurora. In her pursuit of the greater good, she became a character almost, if not as despicable as Jack of Blades. Theresa twisted the mind of Lucien, warping his grief into obsession (potentially also directly killing his wife and daughter), leading her to be responsible, by proxy, for inflicting similar trauma that she and her brother suffered, upon Sparrow and Rose. She brought about a despotic rule where bodies and minds were broken, in pursuit of her own goals. Ultimately, she reopened the world to multiple apocalyptic events which I believe wouldn’t have been at risk, if the Spire had not been rebuilt. She is responsible for the massacre of the Aurorans and (in all likelihood) some percentage of the people of Albion at the hands of the Crawler, in addition to the desolation of Albion brought by the Devourer. Theresa was so focused on her utopian goal that she was blind to the truth she would have been able to see without her second sight. With what I can only assume was hubris, she rebuilt a monolith purported to have wrought unspeakable destruction, and brought about unspeakable destruction.
Theresa is a morally grey character. I always thought she had found a way to cheat death, as in Fable 2, there's some items and tips I've noticed that mention the Hero of Oakvale ended up using the sword of aeons, but Theresa lived. I mean, look at Scythe; he cheated death, and became basically immortal, too, so who's to say she didn't do something similar, but due to a stronger connection to the Will, she kept a more human appearance despite effectively becoming a wraith. Either way, Theresa caused a great amount of suffering in her pursuit of happiness for all, so I'd say the ends don't justify the means, so she is a lawful evil character. You can have an evil character who believes in the greater good, after all, but are just misguided about how they achieve it.
I love these lores so much Keep up the good work cause fable needs you Also one important thing: when you are going to do the lore behind Hollow men make sure not to call them zombies cause the hollow man Anti-Defamation League is getting stronger all the time. X )
Was looking forward to this. I think Teresa did everything with good intentions. If she hadn't interfered with Fairfax's plan, maybe the outcome would've been even worse. The same thing for logan, as he was no fighter. However, I personally think we could've had more interesting storylines if they didn't rely on Teresa so much as the did.
Good thought. If she hadn't have alerted Lucian to the existance of The Spire, then none of the bad events would have happened. It's nice to think about how different things would have been.
I see a lot of people calling her a villain, but I don't think that's right. For those of us who started with the first games, knowing the trauma she went through, it's empathizeable and tragic watching her try to prevent that trauma falling on to others. She wanted to break the cycle. It's easy to say the ends didn't justify the means without considering that the 'ends' in question was others not having their eyes gouged out, their family torn apart and murdered, and their home destroyed, all for the whims of other powerful forces around Albion. Yes, her path caused more bloodshed, but if the end had truly put an end to that cycle, then it would have been worth it - because even without her, there would still be bloodshed and villains trying to take power in the realm. I think only people who played through the first game can truly get the emotional bond and heartache we have for this character. She spent 6-700 years in darkness, alone, all trying to make a brighter world for others. I have a hard time seeing a Fable without her.
I think Theresa is a tragic hero. as while her methods are rather grey on the morality she does something that none of the main antagonists of the Fable series ever do, gives the player a choice. in Fable 2 while gameplay didn't make not buying the music box an option ( Rose is the tragic reason) it's the methods of getting the money that we're our choice. Lucien would have found out about the spire, music box and the prophecy inevitably but without Theresa there Rose and Sparrow would have died and Lucien would damn Albion and the world to darkness. In Fable 3 she just presented Logan with the information but it was by Logan's choice that he went Tyrannical. so with the information here I think Theresa's gambits after Fable 1 we're the best outcome and even then it was her choice.
When Fable 4 comes out I’m so excited to see if Gabriel will fill that role that Theresa played or if they will leave the all seeing fortuneteller idea in the past
@@Skyrionn we think it goes to the situation with the Void and the Sword of Aeons - it requires making certain Fable choices canon, and embellishing a little but we think it's possible that the Hero of Oakvale may have succumbed to pressure and slain Theresa - who got her "escape" from the Void by become embodied by the Queen of Blades

After a time i saw fable 2 lore to see if I could understand what the heck was the crawler, and did not enlight me at all. It was because oif your videos that now I finally understand the lore of fable, this awsome game and world, but for me the world building (lore) was not as strong in the game so that the player could understand everything. So my question is how dou you got all those pieces of information about fable lore? Never saw then not in the game and not anywhere else (not like I searched for real as well).
Read the wiki on it. However here lately people have been removing whole sections of information and adding in dumb things so be careful.
Most of the lore is in the games but you also have the novels and there is a lot of lore there too
Also in fable 3 can u see the spire
Isn’t sparrow a girl bec in fable 3 they keep saying she and ur mother was a hero but idk
I bet Theresa thinks Griffith did nothing wrong.
I love theresa but i love my brothel more in 3
she isnt good or evil thats how i play my heros he does good deeds but also does bad
Interesting way to view it. Maybe we're all a little morally grey
Shame in fable 2 she didn't mention her brother, or we find some resting place,
She did mention him. She just didn't reveal to Sparrow that she was his brother.
@@JabamiLain hi, sorry just realised she did lol, I was hoping to kno if he was buried somewere, we could visit n she would say they were related
@@ignitusmalia6936 There isnt any tomb but there is a demon door in fable 2 with a house in it and it is said that the hero spent his last days there
Ooo piese of Candy
Piece of candy!
Is it possible to kill Reaver before he kills Lucian ? I actually feel bad for the guy. And I hate this sorry excuse for a hero that Reaver is.
I don't think you can kill Reaver :P
reaver is so old and becomes a worse person in fable 3
Annoying how her Fate wa explained in the Fable journey
I'm glad we were at least given it
