a no damage run is suprisingly easy if you focus the spell physical shield and lots of will potions.

Fable reflects the optimistic viewpoint that if you try enough at something, you'll learn and improve. This playthrough reflects the pessimistic viewpoint that sometimes you're too incompetent to learn something... but optimistically can stumble your way through life anyway... 3:40 if you win the lottery or get lucky despite your gambling addiction.
2:17 - Oh gosh; I never thought about that. Somethings you shouldn't think too much about.

Is aging still related to skills? I wonder what would happen to your age if you completed both church age decreasing missions?

Very first time I played this, about age 11/12 - I got all the way up to Twinblade without ever upgrading my skills... because I forgot you could do that at the Guild. So it's interesting to see how that playthrough would've gone had I never learned that.

Agreed! As I said at the beginning in my opinion Fable 1 has some of the best ways to build your character with how much you have to work with :)

i love this game when i was a kid. this is the first game that i saw that things that you do affect certain aspects of the game like increasing strength makes you bulkier or not adding it will make you drag heavy weapons to the ground. your moral alignment affects how your character will look and NPCs react to it and those things could also affect your accessibility to the parts of the game. i wish these certain mechanics are in current games. first fable was definitely made with passion. can't say the same for the sequels.

I loved fable man. Especially the first one. I recently just re played it after years. I did not know of all these exploits though 😂😂 You excited for Fable 4?

    • @rustedknight_
      @rustedknight_ 2 года назад

Me, personally, I'm excited but simultaneously have my expectations low. Especially hearing that it'll be a reboot...
So in other words, a sort of "it'll probably be bad, but at the very least, it'll be Fable and I'll probably enjoy it."
That being said, I'm hoping for my expectations blown away.

Good job with the challenge! i've also finished the Anniversary Edition a few weeks ago with the "hardest" difficulty, lol. I always get Willow's Warhammer first then all the other legendary items. I usually have the Harbinger and Skorm's Bow for the Arena battle. I like to see myself as a "Fable veteran", since i played with this game since i was 10, and now i'm 21. I remember playing The Lost Chapters for the first time and wasn't aware of skill points, and than anticipated to kill the Earth Troll in Darkwood, but failed miserably with my Steel Katana and 3 resurrections phials, ah good times.

Fun watching the Sparknotes version of the game again, I don't think I could stand to play it one more time over and boy does just watching this show how games have changed since then considering how 'good' it was.
Hopefully, there is a Fable 2 and 3 challenge in the works?

    Ideas
    1. Can you beat rdr2 with only the cattleman revolver
    2. Can you beat oblivion with only the wabbajack
    3. Can you beat oblivion without leveling up
    4. Can you beat skyrim without leveling up
    5. Can you beat oblivion with only the fork of horripilation
Keep up the good work. I love this channel. I hope to see more oblivion runs lol.

My first ever run through of the game at the age of 7, I didn’t realize you could upgrade the character. I raged to the point of wanting to quit the game. The final boss fight in the guildhall where you get the sword took me months. I found a strategy where I spam my weak electric spell and roll, literally took me hours. Eventually I beat the boss and skipped the credits. Also finding out you have to watch all the credits to keep the sword and beat the boss. The pain was never ending. The story ends well though, I learnt from my mistakes and beat the boss again, leaving the credits on. Keeping the sword and playing side quests more many more years.

Loved this. Fable was the first game that got me, I knew that game like the back of my hand. Completed hundreds of times, probably could have spedrun it. But the one thing I've never seen before is turning all the squares to moons and killing the prophets. Blown my mind!

This is the first video of yours that I got randomly recommended while watching a different Fable video from someone else. I'm glad it did because I really enjoy all of your content.
I know it doesn't have nearly the same replayability as Skyrim or New Vegas, but I would love to see you do more challenges for this one. I think it has the most variety of options of all the games in the series and has a certain charm to it that I feel the other games are lacking.

I did a similar challenge, different strategy. Someone else had done this very playthrough, and discovered that you can charge archery shots while rolling, so the entire run involved constantly roll-dodging, then letting off an arrow immediately after. I don't remember if I was able to play the Lost Chapters on said run, but as you proved, it is still very doable.
