- Ive ALWAYS wanted do so this such video. Ever since I started watching ASMR videos ive always wanted a video of a candle just slowly burning and crackling away. The Woodwick candle is the only one that does this to my knowledge. I just thought I would share the amazing sounds with you all :)

Fireplace crackling sound is not gas oven-like, or like you say rain sound. Its cracking from time to time like when you snap wooden wick. So I am very dissapointed. Also it is too heavy and large to carry it around, but the shape is good- you can watch fire when it is shallow and wide, unlike some or most candles which are deep and narrow and when they burn out by half, you cant see fire.
My mum bought me the Black Cherry one yesterday and I love it, the scent and sound is amazing, superior to any candle I've had before!
Thank you for posting this. I was going to get one because of the crackling noise but now I am not. You saved me. If it sounded more like a real campfire then yes.

I do have a tip though, not all wood wick candles sound the same. I personally do not like these long wood wick ones however, there are some by a different company (I THINK its called Nature's Wick but I've tried many kinds so I can't be sure...) they aren't long bars of wick, more... plus shaped and spread out in groups of 2-4 per candle. I personally like the smaller wicked ones more, as they last longer and sound more like a campfire then the long ones. I think its due to it being several smaller crackling noises rather then one large piece creating a more... several sticks burning at once kind of sound.

Yes I have had around 15 of them. Not only are they soothing to listen to but the smell of them when you burn them Is unbelievable . I would buy them even if they didn't crackle, that is how much I like the smell it gives off.

I just bought the lavander cedar and vanilla sea salt tonight. I love them. Very relaxing in my opinion.

@@Pathfinding-earthnot loud enough to be an issue. Part of the charm of woodwick is the sound. It should grow quieter as it gets some burnt ends on it.

I recently discovered Woodwick candles on a deal, I never understood why they were so expensive before. I was reading the other night and lit it up, wow! It was so relaxing and enjoyable to have the scent and sound in the background. Very soothing. I will keep them on had from now own.

I am watching this bc I'm debating whether to buy one or not but I have to say I thought it would be more like cozy fireplace crackles but it's really more like rain drumming on your roof with the same exact pattern (I enjoy rain sounds too but only if they change at least a bit from time to time) this is really too much for me

Can you comment on how long it took to melt right to the two tips of the candle? I think you took a break at 47:27 and blew it out briefly allowing some wax to resolidify.
I love the candle but when I lit up my candle it got put off pretty soon I don’t know if that was meant to be or I’m just using it wrong (it’s the same brand and same wood wick candle but it had 3 scents to it) any suggestions?
Would spacing the wicks our burn the wax down evenly, preventing the tunneling. Or is that one wick

The sounds is quite aggressive I think. It would be nice if it was a slow, calm crackle.
There thin wick ones may make a less harsh sounds, not sure, prefer the look of the stretched wick myself.
