“Your intention elevates your bullet journal practice from simply being another to do list.” -Ryder Carroll This is what sets the bullet journal apart from just being just a “create your own planner”. It is a mindful practice to help you become what you value.
I’ve kept a bujo practice since 2016, because of this ability to shift my intention. 1) I started as a student wanting to organize my studies and explore my creativity through doodling. 2) Around and after graduation, I started using it to journal, which helped me recognize that I needed help with my mental health. 3) When COVID hit, I used it to help me stay organized again, working from home and trying to keep my days from blending together. 4) Now, it’s a place where I save my memories and brainstorm my creative projects. Who knows how it’ll evolve from here on out? :)
It's wonderful hearing how your bullet journal has evolved! Our bullet journals are here to serve us, and embracing the flexibility of it, is exactly how we accomplish this.
My intention: I want my bullet journal practice to help me value myself/nurture my self-worth, because I believed I was not important; that my thoughts didn't matter, and that lead me to erase myself, miss out on opportunities and live by other people's thoughts/opinions of me. I'm familiar with the bullet journal and did it for productivity for a few years, and stopped when I got overwhelmed by life and the struggle to progress further in my medical career. After a major event and finally confiding in people I trust, I realized the flaws and the horrible thoughts I came to believe about myself and how they were affecting me in the past and in real time. This process started a week ago. I'm very grateful the first thing that came to mind was to pick up a notebook and start writing down that pain, explore it and work on myself. I know I want to change and the bullet journal is really helping me through this process. Thank you for sharing such a life-changing method
Thank you for sharing so openly. Reflection and exploration of your inner thoughts is one of the fundamental parts of the bullet journal method. It's great to hear how your bullet journal has helped you on your journey.
It started as my todo list, now its just a little book of my life and day to day thoughts. i now use it for self-improvement and tracking and making me more mindful of the day. Ironically it makes every day feel longer because now I'm not looking forward to every weekend or the next big thing. I'm just taking every day as it is.
It's great to hear how your BuJo practice has evolved over time and helped you focus on the present moment. Feeling you have more time in the day as a result of your BuJo practice is wonderful.
This is perfect timing! I did this at the beginning of the year to figure out what intention was behind each spread… specifically habit tracking in my bullet journal
Nice….BUT still not worth $300 I think $135 is the most I would pay for the course… Maybe that much. Otherwise I support you by buying the book, the audio book and your BUJO Journals.
Well, here I am, trying to be efective in starting my very first writing system to organice my caotic life. I am so happy to find this methodology.thanks for this!
I think so too @@bulletjournal I use nearly zero decoration and I fill each page to the brim. I've been using a Bullet Journal since 2017 and am very grateful for it.
I'm retired and I am not sure now how I stumbled upon bullet journaling. At first it was about art, drawing, having pages of checklists, keeping track of everything. In the past 6 months, I lost interest - now I just have a full monthly calendar, next page is reminders and recording bill payments, last two pages for the month are memories and gratitude. I use MS Excel a lot. I've been exploring Sketchnotes videos - it looks like fun and seems suited for journaling / bullet journaling in a new way.
Hi Ryder! Congrats on launching this course!! When signing up, how long will the content be available for? Is it a forever thing or a set time? Thanks for improving so many lives by sharing your method!!
Dear Ryder.. Are there any scientific resources you used to define intentions, goals, plans and resolutions? The definitions are very remarkable. Actually I wanna read articles about this. Thanks
@@bulletjournal thank you for your answer. I have already read this article. Since I wanted to benefit from the definitions in my thesis, I asked its scientific resources if there are any. Thank you very much

I bujo to keep my memories safe and so I can look back at it. It's like a time machine to look back at what I once did and didn't
It's great being able to look back at the memories, and have the opportunity to return to the mind of your past self!
