When I first saw Cuphead I couldn't believe it was actually a game, fell in love immediately with the animation. But when I heard the music, OMG, I almost lost my mind with happiness, went to heaven, then to hell and back... what a crazy soundtrack.... I don't even have the game, but just watching a walkthrough is so damn entertaining.
Cuphead is more than a game.. even more than an awesome game. is a work of art and passion. Incredible ideas brung to modern days, risky decisions and proof that animation is alive and people still love it. We love you guys. Even if you dont make another work of art like this one again.... we thank you and love you for what you made and shared with us.
So it was all hand drawn/3D modeled in a traditional way and then the animations, cutscenes and backgrounds and all those assets were then scanned and coloured, and then it was all coded together. And then, all the sounds and songs were recorded in real life? KUDOS TO THESE GUYS.
Now imagine the same story, but with people who tried to do the same, investing all of their money, but their game failed, and now they are living on the streets, and you don't even know about it. That could've happened to these guys as well.
I'm so glad to see these guys do so well. THESE are the type of people and the type of story that should succeed and prosper. And it's so rare that it all pans out so well. The family aspect is great and inspiring.
These guys and their family deserve this success. Indies like this and Hollow Knight are successful because of the immense passion put into their games.

when it started 2010! and finished 2017! what a royal flush! new companies make bad games, but this new game company Studio MDHR really revived 1930s cartoons with this game. This is the best game ever!
That's how you make a game. Fans making something actually fun to play, great art style, addicting, and co op. What makes this game good is that they actually tried to make a GOOD game instead of just throwing something incomplete out for a money grab, wish more games were simple and fun
Im so proud of them as an artist and gamer that they said "screw it lets just do it" and went for it. this is awesome. very inspiring. Fantastic game. A nother cuphead would be dumb I hope they don't make it
More shit like this GameSpot! Fabulous!
One of the few titles in the last 10 or even 20 years that has love and compassion infused in to true creativity and motivation, This is a clear example of how gaming should be and I hope many future creators and developers take note of this beautiful game, Good job to the creators 3 years later!
“I don’t know much about the industry”
*makes a beautifully animated and fun video game
This is the only soundtrack to a game I've heard that truly stands on its own as an album. Amazing
This is so incredibly inspiring for upcoming game devs
I'm so glad to see these guys do so well. THESE are the type of people and the type of story that should succeed and prosper. And it's so rare that it all pans out so well. The family aspect is great and inspiring.
I have so much respect for these guys they went the extra mile and the games feckin awesome because of it
These guys and their family deserve this success. Indies like this and Hollow Knight are successful because of the immense passion put into their games.
As a lover of cartoons and animation, I absolutely love Cuphead ✊🏻 It’s a great love letter to 1930s animated shorts and at the same time a fun yet challenging gameplay experience 👍🏻 One of my favorite games of the 2010s 🙋🏻♂️
watching this video is like watching this 2 brother's dream slowly and maturely becoming a reality, it's so cool
The animation is pure genius 💜super cool to bring this game to life
took me almost 30 hours to beat on my first playthrough. probably the most fun I've had with any game in the last few years. I'm so glad you've made this feature!
Love their story. Regardless of their success, they still seem to be very humble. Huge inspiration for anyone who’s ever wanted to make their “impossible” dream into reality. They’re the proof that passion and hard work can accomplish anything. Congrats guys! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Please keep doing what you are doing, take your time with the game making process. We don't need more games in the market, We need good ones.
I Love cuphead so much. Everything is just done Great. The animations, the soundtrack, die difficulty.
An outstanding piece of art.
Thx so much Studio MDHR. Keep going
So inspirational. No previous experience at all but still went for it because it’s something they wanted to do. Found a way to get it done and viola. Amazing.
This is their first video-game?! That's a Masterpiece!
Such a great interview. The two brothers quit their jobs to pursue a dream -- quite a risk, but for their case, it sure has paid off. I'm excited to see what Studio MDHR has in store for us in the future!
I absolutely love this game!
Some of the bosses make me want to burn down a building because of the difficulty.
Cuphead is a masterpiece, so much hard work and passion went into the making of the game 👏👏👏👏
when it started 2010! and finished 2017! what a royal flush! new companies make bad games, but this new game company Studio MDHR really revived 1930s cartoons with this game.
The difficulty by default how it was set was fine for me. It was something i grew up on anyway during the NES era. Nothing more tough than an old Mega man game
I’m a game artist, creative developer animation artist! What I love about all this is that we bring together so many people together. Art maths music Its brilliant
It's amazing to think no one had done this kind of game before.
This game is brilliant. The retro cartoon animation makes this a timeless piece of game art. They deserve all the praise for putting it all on the line, literally. 👍
i like how cuphead, starring two brothers, was made BY *brothers*
This story is so inspiring.. as a creator I’m buzzing right now.. 🙏🏾thank you!
Floral Fury is a banger
Heart warming back story. I'm glad for these two brothers. Gives me inspiration.
And now, Cuphead is in Smash.
What started out as a dream became a reality better than most dreams could ever hope to be!
Love this video.. only thing is I wish they sat the other way round (because of the t-shirts)
I hope they end up releasing this on PS4 and Switch.
Onur Yavuz Let Xbox have this one. They need it.
They already confirmed it's not coming to other platforms on their website.
Cuphead has been confirmed a lifetime exclusive to PC and Xbox.
TheNegroShoddy only 30% of their sales were on XBox One, actually.
PS4 no, Switch maybe.
